If coming during a cold winter night don’t forget to dress extra warm, a warm cozy atmosphere wasn’t present…..but our food was the best I have had in Wilmington.”

I hadn't had foie gras before, so I thought it was pretty cool that I could try it at a place that wasn't a high-end French restaurant. It was pretty good! I enjoyed all of the food there. The waitstaff was awesome. Really nice atmosphere as well. Would Definitely go again. Kinda want to go now...but it's 7:30am 🤣”

When I brought it up to the bartender, she said I misread the situation and it was none of my business! So, I went to the manager and she repeated pretty much the same statement like it was scripted because it continuously happens! I wonder if the owners are aware of these actions because honestly the bartender and manager should be fired for those kind of attitudes as it's illegal to serve visibly impaired patrons at a bar! Sad! 🤔😔 I actually have to add, it's a shame that the staff isn't the best, because the concept is great, the events are fun and our group which usually numbers 10 to 15 people enjoy hanging out there for the events and the food which is reasonable and pretty good! 💝😎👍”

“This was our first time visiting Hummingbird to Mars. We had heard from friends prior to going about how the place was set up. Our expectations were in line with how the restaurant runs. As a speakeasy, the focus is on the cocktails, which are made painstakingly by hand. Their preparation is true to historic standards and no detail is overlooked. The time it takes to receive your drinks might be a little longer than a traditional bar, but they are WELL WORTH IT.
Regarding the ambience, the location mimics the experience one might have had 100 years ago during prohibition. Upon arrival, you ring a doorbell at an otherwise nondescript entryway where you are greeted by friendly staff who will escort you up a flight of candlelit stairs to your table. The location can accommodate a few dozen people so making reservations would be prudent.
Once seated, you’ll be given an extensive drink menu from which you’ll certainly find a customized cocktail that will suit your taste. Our server was knowledgeable about the cocktails and helped us make educated choices with respect to food and drinks.
Considering we went in December, an excellent Jazz trio literally drummed up the background music…jazz interpretations of Christmas classics, which everyone enjoyed.
In a world of bland restaurant chains, this place stands out like a gem. You will not be disappointed.”

So when I eat the Stewed Chicken from Carmen’s in reminds me of when I first tasted Puerto Rican food years ago. Carmen is very friendly and so are her staff. It’s a very clean place and I would recommend this place to anyone who loves ethnic food.”

Maybe a few wet naps Draft beer selection- great. “There are many Asian buffets these days and while there are some top-of-the line buffets, there's plenty more than are good and there are of course some that are rough because the food isn't rotated to keep fresh food on the buffet. This buffet though is pleasantly good and it has a nice atmosphere.
I like that the buffet's atmosphere is very well done with good decor and not feeling like a generic restaurant. The service is also good and for the most part well done for a buffet as well.
The food is what you mostly expect for an Asian buffet with a mix of Chinese dishes, sushi, a Mongolian-style grill and American buffet fare. The sushi is one of the better offerings I've seen in an Asian buffet; the fish was fresh when I was there and they had an actually good variety of different maki rolls and nigiri. The Mongolian grill has some good choices and the chef does a good job cooking the food up. I did wish they had a better selection of difference sauces to tailor your dish, but what they have works. The Chinese dishes are also pretty good with the normal variety of Amero-Chinese entrees and the fruit when I visit was reasonably fresh.
Overall, this buffet has very tasty options for food and a good variety of dishes as well. For a local, this is a good buffet to visit. But not quite one I'd go out of my way to visit.”
