“First time dining at The Plantation house. We went there to celebrate our anniversary. We had such a beautiful experience. The staff was very attentive. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the atmosphere. And to top it off, we had awesome dinner music. Mahalo Peter for playing. Mahalo Plantation house for an awesome dinner experience.”
“One of the best places on the island to go. Everyone there is always so happy to assist and the food is amazing.Must stop if you are on the west side of the island.”
“This was one of the first places we stopped for dinner after settling into our condo during our vacation. The boardwalk provides easy, scenic access to the restaurant so if you're staying anywhere in the nearby area, this is definitely a place you should try to walk over to one evening. It has beautiful, open air seating with a nice view. The food was really great too! Calamari was served in huge, thick, strips that were super tender. It was so much better than the typical rubbery deep fried calamari rings I've seen at restaurants on the mainland. You can't go wrong with any of the fish options either. We tried four different fish entrees over two separate visits and everything we had was delicious. The drinks are great as well, definitely expensive but also...potent.”
“This is a great place with the most amazing ocean view directly on the water. It’s a small, quaint, welcoming place. The employees are nice and friendly and are very accommodating. Food is pretty tasty.Parking: Some parking spots next to the restaurant and some more available along the side of the road”
“We were so thrilled that the Old Lahaina Luau had recently reopened since the devastating fires last year in Lahaina. What a breath of fresh air to this dear community. This Hawaiian experience is so very important to the culture when visiting Hawaii. Please visit this particular luau in Maui; a portion of their monthly sales goes to rebuilding Lahaina. ❤️”

“What a little gem to find amoung all the food trucks in this area! Got the pulled pork fries, a MUST get item! Amazing, my belly was in love! Also got the Thai chicken tacos and cheese sticks which were good. I wish I could have tried everything but only was in town two days. Get the crème brûlée as it will satisfy your sweet tooth especially because I have rarely seen it in Plantbased form. Unlike most food trucks, food prep was fairly quick in the food truck area. There are picnic tables with umbrellas, free to enjoy the food we walked here from the embassy suites and is walkable pretty much from most of the hotels. I did not see any areas for cars to park, but there could have been behind the building/shopping plaza next-door.”
“surprisingly good. my expectations were not high as it was located on the ground floor commercial space of an old apartment building. food was very fresh and generous portions. service was very good and wait staff were friendly.”
“Great spot within the Ritz. Good food, great service and good cocktails. Catch of the day was great - always able to get a reservation even during Spring break - even accommodated our bigger party of 8. We went twice on our trip it was so good.Kid-friendliness: Took four young boys here - they were great and very accommodating. Big area on the grass for them to run around and play.”

“Really a great, well rounded, experience. I have been to Maui several times but this was my first visit to Merrimen's. It will NOT be my last. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but the service, atmosphere, location and (of course) the food make it a very special place.”
“Fantastic cinnamon buns. The dough is more like a danish or croissant than bread or bun. At ~7" across, they are easy to share. In the morning they are a bakery. In the evening they are a pizza shop. They are often lined up out the door.”
“Great food and service. Eaten here twice during this trip. The shrimp in the Camarones Arepa was tender and cooked perfectly, and the tomato and bell pepper sauce was delicious. We also had the Arepitas Fritas with pork, which was also very tasty. And the yuca fries were crispy and freshly fried. The rice and black beans in the Pabellon Bowl was very flavorful, and I had the same delicious Kalua pork as was in my arepitas. Very good, highly recommend.”

“Wasn't expecting to get Mexican food in Maui and I needed up finding the Best Birria tacos I've ever had. Quesabirria tacos are great and the consome tops it off perfectly. Not a lot of places to sit, but I'd eat these off of the ground if I had to. The owners are really friendly and the food comes out quick. A great stop right when you land at the airport at the food round up by costco.”
“Amazing people - my first stop in Maui and we really felt the aloha here! So impressed with the food here! The meats were tender and cooked perfectly. We could really tell the amount of pride that went into every dish. They have a small area to sit that is shared with other trucks. Mahalo for the Ono eats ~Aloha”

“Loved this place enough we recommended to friends who also loved it. Take your time to order. You have to review the board at the entrance and we felt rushed. I should have reviewed online before I came. So much selection. Huge portions and friendly staff! Will visit again.”
“I was here a week before the sad Maui fires and had a fantastic bowl of acai along with a beautifully presented bowl of fruits, with the papaya acting as the bowl. It was fresh and such a great start to the morning. Also tried a nice large mug of latte which didn't disappoint. I hope they can rebound and re-open soon! Mahalo.”

“We stumbled upon this treasure while on Vacation in Maui and ended up coming here everyday. The vegan options are varied, beautifully presented, healthy and absolutely delicious! Service is friendly and prices are fair. Large portions too, yet leave me feeling energized. Will come back here every day until we leave.”

Smash Maui
“This is so good, and not over priced. Truck is ran by a small family so you have to check their ig page to make sure they’re open. Wait time is not too long, food is 20/10 highly recommend.”
“I’ve tried their hawaiian coffee in Waikiki and also their matcha latte and loved it; here in Maui i thought i tried different latte ( my usual latte) just regular latte with oat milk and trying out their ube bagel with uber cream cheese and coconut cream. I love my latte and for the ube bagel, it is definitely a different bagel, the ube bagel dont have ube flavor but when you eat it with ube cream cheese and coconut cream it is better. I wishes they make the ube bagel more ube flavor. Well, it just my opinion.”

“Vegetarian options: There's plenty for every pallet at the Castaway. This is the local pub to have a bite and a catch up, with friends. The service is friendly and relaxed, the food is good and the the view is spectacular.”
“Delicious sushi (everything we tried was tasty), good service, easy parking. No kids menu, but they can do butter noodles, ramen, chicken, etc. Reservation is definitely needed.”
“The best Mai Tai in Maui! This is located in Whaler’s Village and we went for the Mai Tai hype and it was worth it! The ambience is so Hawaii, food especially fried and gnocchi, service and vibe is great. They have non alcoholic Mai Tai version too”
“"Our server, Isabel, was the greatest. She made the experience memorable. We will never forget the time spent there . She was the reason we returned more than once to Umalu. She is a credit to the Hyatt chain."Copy ”
“My wife and I were craving pizza and took a stroll down to Taverna. The pizza and service was phenomenal. We came back a second time during our stay and ate at the bar, with the same excellent service and pizza. Our server from the first night noticed us at the bar and made a point to come over to us and say hello. Also, what a great location at the Bay Course in Kapalua. We will be back! Mahalo”
“10 starts for customer service. Ryan provides absolutely outstanding hospitality. He is friendly, professional, courteous and always on top of things. Food doesn't come out cold, glasses say full and he is always ready with a suggestion and a smile. Ryan's personality and work ethic are exemplary. Promote this man into leadership positions.”
“This place serves some of the best sushi on the island. Sushi is fresh and on average price wise with the rest of the higher end places. Rice is cooked perfect. Beer is on the expensive side. Service is pretty good.Parking is a rip off. You have to pay to park, unless you are already staying at the hotel. But you might even have to pay them. If you are spending $75 a person for dinner, parking should be included.”
“The food and the atmosphere were top notch. I highly recommend going for that. The service was less than poor. The host just pointed to a table for us to go and once our server (whom did not appear to even want to be there) took our order we never saw him again until he brought us the bill. Never checked on us, refilled our drinks, nothing.”
“Ordered food at the bar with the bartender to enjoy at the bar tables. The food came rather quickly as this spot filled up quite fast in a short amount of time. The bartender was very helpful & because of that I would definitely go back here to enjoy myself again.”
“Decided to see what else was in Whalers Village. Great location. Live music was huge bonus, and both groups did not disapoint. Service was attentive, food appetizers really nice, tried the pork belly special...delicious. ordered hit wings, nit really hot so give them a go. Only disappointment was the caesar salad, lacked flavour. Will be back next week as really enjoyed the live music.”
“We had a breakfast here and it was good, we had a dinner here and it was one of the best meals we have ever had…the views, the service, the food was all great.”
“We had a great time at the luau. Slightly disappointed at the food. Not as much variety as I've had at other luaus. However, the food quality was very good.”
“We made reservations 2 months out but still got put behind a wall. Service was adequate, though server seemed slammed with too many tables. We had the prime rib special. The prime rib was good and it came with steamed veggies and a choice or rice/fries/mashed potatoes. We felt it was a good price for Maui-$30 each.”
“The food was outstanding. We have a large family and everyone found something they really enjoyed, from the Pho to the beef stew to the grilled teriyaki shrimp. Has the feel of a dive. The service was adequate, but the food was the real star of the evening.”
“We had Randall as our chef. He was very entertaining and the food was delicious. He was the only person at the resort that acknowledged our honeymoon so that was very nice! Wish we could have gotten an early dining time. 8:45 pm was 2:45 am our time.”
“Place was great and food was good but service was ok. First we had to wait at the door for 10 minutes when there was many tables open . The hostess seated us and then took another 10 minutes to take our order. Thankfully the busboy came to our rescue. I could see our food sitting on the counter for another 10 minutes and the busboy finally brought it to us. I saw a group come in seat themselves and then wave to the lady to order. They had obviously been here before. Food was very good and the place was clean and fun. Maybe the girl was new ? I would still recommend anyone to try this new place”
“Chicken cutlet was great, thick portion of chicken, not thin and crusty like some other places. Mushroom burger was great too, moist and delicious. My boy had loco moco and for a big guy, he couldn't finish his plate, saved it for breakfast. Will definitely go back again.”
“Dear Paia Fishmarket (Lahaina): you are missed already. Pray you are all safe. Much loveFood here is incredible. I love sitting in the outdoor seating for lunch so I can hear the birds at the Banyan Tree (across the street). Service was a bit off during my last visit… maybe the cashier was new? We ordered two shrimp tacos, a mahi mahi taco, and a snapper taco. They initially only brought out the shrimp tacos, when we asked about the fish tacos, they got confused, took the shrimp tacos back and came out with two fish tacos (didn’t say which was which) and no shrimp tacos. It took a while to get all the food we actually ordered, but once we did it was great!”
24 Hour Restaurants
“Outdoor restaurant at the Hyatt serving food and drink right next the the beach. The restaurant can be accessed by the beach paved path or from within the Hyatt. They have a few chicken sandwiches available which can be hard to find on the island as most places server pork and fish. Nice atmosphere with live music at times.”
“Well, it's McDonald's. The main reason we went was because we heard that in Hawaii, they have Spam on the menu. I know, Spam. Apparently it is only during a breakfast dish served with eggs. We were there a little after lunch time so it was not on the menu. This was also the first time I had been to a McDonald's in maybe 9-10 years. Well, the Quarter Pounder with cheese still tastes the same! I suppose I would give it 5 stars for being a McDonald's, except I found it quite annoying that I had to have an employee unlocked the bathrooms just to go. That's just not right. Other than that, the people were friendly the food hot and fresh and it was a newer McDonald's. I suppose if you are in Hawaii on the island of Maui and you need to eat a good quick meal, Then this will fit the bill just fine.”
“Sergio's is a great place for some Mexican food while in Maui! The service was fast and friendly and our food was delicious. The portions for the Nachos was enough to share!”
“Delicious sushi (everything we tried was tasty), good service, easy parking. No kids menu, but they can do butter noodles, ramen, chicken, etc. Reservation is definitely needed.”

Takeout Restaurants
“Imagine the dense flavor of Gelato with the richness of ice cream, mixed in with those island flavors, like macadamia nut, coconut, or ube, and you have an unique local classic you won't find elsewhere. They also serve classic shave ice with a self-serve syrup bar for you to concoct your own combinations. Our server was friendly and patiently allowed us to sample almost all the flavors without making the slightest fuss. It's a family business with just a few tables, but there always seems to be a small crowd hanging out here. Across from the cannery mall, it was spared the devastation of the Lahaina fires. While Ulalanis and Lappert's remain closed, this is the place to go.”
“A wonderful little restaurant. The only problem is it’s popularity. Arrive as early as possible and stand in line… with everyone else. It will be worth the wait!Vegetarian options: You will find plenty of vegetarian options, and the kitchen will be happy to accommodate special needsParking: Limited, but I have eaten here a dozen times and always found a spot”
“Don't miss the opportunity to have the best breakfast in Lahaina at this food truck. We were disappointed with our restaurant experiences and decided to try this option. The pucking pancakes and ham, egg & cheese croissant were excellent. Made with love! The outdoor seating area provides an ocean view, parking is ample and the owner is congenial. Perfect combination.”
“Every item here at a Merienda Maui food truck was delicious. The only mistake we made was not eating here sooner, since we would have returned to try more of the menu.We selected two types of tacos, the Shrimp and the Thai Beef Tacos. The shrimp tacos are served with a cabbage slaw, a ginger sesame dressing (not a strong flavor), gochujang aioli (dominant flavor that worked well with the shrimp), and some pickled red onions on top. Somewhat simple but all flavors combine well, the shrimp stands out with the aioli, and it has a tropical sense to it. The Thai Beef Tacos use a Thai marinade on the beef (sourced from Maui, though I couldn't tell the difference from regular beef in these chunks in a taco). Beyond that it's a common taco with a tomato salad (pico de gallo), jalapeño, cilantro, and mint (rather than a common diced onion pairing). The marinade infused into each piece of beef and truly carried the dish. I would have eaten it without the garnishes, though they do help fill out the taco. I also thought this was the most basic item we ordered, and would want to try out other items before repeating this.Lastly the Phili-bistek Sando with fries was the true star of the show. It reads as a cheesesteak with bell peppers and onions, and Mayo/chimichurri sauce on top. Yet I think this meat was also marinated, since I can't conceive how much umami was oozing from this burger. It is hands down the best cheesesteak I have every had...and I've been to Philadelphia. I found other recipes online that use a soy marinade to prepare the beef (tapa beef seems to be the Filipino name), and this sounds like it tasted. There was a lot of beef pieces, we shared the burger along 3 people, and I think that the circular shape made it seem larger than if it had been on a longer hoagie bread. Onion jam rather then regular onions would keep the tastebuds working, the Japanese Mayo would introduce both tangy and sweet flavors, and the chimichurri would add parsley, cilantro, and garlic notes. The burger was messy, but worth it. And the fries were extra crispy, similar to In-N-Out double fried fries but thicker. These work perfectly with just ketchup. We considered the Umami fries, which have gochijang and Mayo and Furikake at the same time, and I think all that sauce would reduce the crispiness of the fries. I would still try it, but the fries are top notch and a quick dip in ketchup is all that is needed. The Okonomiyaki Brussel sprouts also sound like an amazing Asian take on the vegetable and something to try next time.”
“Got two really great Acai bowls here after snorkeling at Kahekili. Brett's a super nice dude and gave some great recommendations for happy hour and other cool spots. Check this place out!”
“I'm a bit particular about my coffee and Kraken was one of my favorite coffee places in Kihei other than the green coffee shop which was great too!! The coffee wasn't watery (I find that to be an issue at a lot of places these days) and it was genuinely good!! Nice little spot.”
“Great coffee, chai and food looks tasty too. I'd frequent this local place any day over a Starbucks. No comparison! It's busy in the morning, so relax and don't mind just a few minutes wait.”
“Food here was quick and delicious! The kahula pork Benedict was especially good. It's counter order and delivery to your table. Lots of seating inside and out. Would recommend!”
“The restaurant was extremely busy (always a good sign) and the lady at the register was very sweet and helpful. We got our food to go and it was still hot by the time we got to our hotel room. Huge portions, great food, awesome prices! I'll be recommending this place to everyone I know! (Katsu chicken, bbq chicken, and garlic chicken mini plates and saimin chicken ramen)”
“The açaí bowls here were so delicious! One of the best ones I've had! The girls working we're so sweet! Definitely recommend coming here if your in Lahaina or near by towns!”
“Aloha Braised is always one of my first stops. Due to the August 2023 Lahaina wildfire, the food truck has found a temporary spot in Kahului on Alamaha, on the Dairy Road side. Enjoyed the Teppanyaki Thursday special with steak, shrimp, fried rice, veggies and ginger sauce. Aloha Braised also caters. Ordered pans of Furikake Mahi Mahi, Mochiko chicken with volcano sauce and hurricane sauce on the side, New York Steak, Pork Belly and Macaroni salad. We loved everything! Aloha Braised is hoping to be back in Lahaina at their Island Grocery location at the end of November. Check IG and Facebook for updates.”
“The BEST mac salad I have ever had in my life! We had their fish and chips, and their Korean BBQ chicken, and it’s incredible! The chicken is so juicy and flavorful, and the fish were so fresh! I highly recommend stopping by, ordering some great food, and leaving a tip for these amazing people.”
“Such a great place. We don’t tend to go back to places on the island and new places. This is an exception. Honeysuckle latte is so good and I’m dreaming of the avocado toast. My kid said is the best hot chocolate ”
“Nikki's Pizza is a place you ***NEED*** to try. Pizza and service is unbelievably top notch! A worldwide traveler shared that he never tasted pizza that was so good! We travel across the island just to have Nikki's Pizza! Best pizza on the island, Upcountry to Wailea to Kapalua and BACK!! :-)Parking: Nikki's Pizza validates for parking too!”
“This is so good, and not over priced. Truck is ran by a small family so you have to check their ig page to make sure they’re open. Wait time is not too long, food is 20/10 highly recommend.”

“Food is very good and very local. The ritz has really gone out of their way to include locals businesses. From hiring local florists to produce amazing flowers and plants daily, to providing local authentic Maui products and food. This coffee shop being one.The products are all made locally. Including the egg sandwiches. I normally hate premade breakfast sandwiches. But this one is legit.”

Drive-Thru Restaurants
“I love Panda & this location is THE BEST. So happy when they reopened after the fire. The food here is super fresh & just taste better than others in my opinion.”
“Good customer service from Matthew today when we went through the drive thru with our pups for a quick burger. He was friendly, professional, made sure we had the sauces we like and was just generally helpful and happy. Mahalo Matthew :)Burger King is pricey on island as they don't offer mainland specials, and they are more expensive than McDs but I do prefer their fries, plus their fish burger is much bigger and tastier.”
“Fairly expensive bar at the Marriott Ocean Club main pool. The staff was very friendly, nice and service was quick. The drinks were very tasty, but did not have a lot of alcohol in them. I would highly suggest the Kalua pulled pork nachos ($20) and the Makai Lava Flow frozen drink ($15).Parking: Parking is located in the Marriott parking garage which had plenty of spaces but required going up many floors. I am not sure if those not staying at the Marriott can park as it requires a room key to enter.Kid-friendliness: Located at the Marriott pool with seating next to and in the general vicinity so there is plenty of room for the kids to enjoy themselves and play.”

Cheap Eats
“Great food, great experience.Things do come out of the kitchen at random so some of our party had finished by the time the last dish arrived. Other than that, the food was killer.Joeys chicken is amazing.”
“Had the pork belly with tomatoes and onions, food was amazing. Literally left Fleetwood’s because their lunch menu was boring. Jayboy’s photos alone had me sold. If you’re on the island, stop by your local food truck because that’s where the flavor is.”
“Some of my favorite breakfast tacos I have ever had. Made fresh per order, with fresh homemade salsa that will blow you away. The three alarm and migos tacos are both incredible- so flavorful and the perfect way to start your day. Because they're made fresh, the wait can take some time- I recommend texting (yes texting) your order ahead of time to the owner/chef so you aren't waiting there too long. I go almost every morning when in Maui, it's that good. It operates out of a truck conveniently located off the road in a pull out area with a delicious açaí truck as well. Small picnic tables around if you want to eat there, and lots of chickens. Cannot recommend enough.”
“If you are visiting Hawaii street food is best options any very good food , rather then spending hi $ restaurants I eat at many food truck they were all good , u won’t go wrong check the review , I am v. v .picky for my food .”
“Was here April 2023, We were staying at the Whaler in Ka'anapali and wanted to find a cool local "dive bar"! Got tattoos at Blue Hawaii tattoos them came here, all the regulars were so cool friendly, we are heading back to Ka'anapali in 2 weeks and so bummed we can't come by and have a few drinks! So glad we bought T-shirts last year, I sport mone all the time in CA.”
“I was charging the rental Tesla near this store and was so glad I stopped in. Everything I have ordered has been very good. The chia ball was fantastic. I could eat one everyday. The service was solid and they do a couple tables where I got a bit of work done. I will be back.”
“Im not tell you its groundbreaking new recipies or the best in the world but I am telling you the Ube pancakes are truly the best. Usually the Ube Ive had are just purple pancakes w/overly sweet Ube flavoring. The pancakes are fluffy, and not overly sweet! I also had the Island deluxe. To put it into perspective, this isolated location surprisingly had a deli that has adobo, mushroom chicken breasts, poke, wings, pizza etc..Very friendly staff obviously just pack some patients as its busy during the weekends and tables are hard to come by. Hope you enjoyed this review and this place if you visit.”
“Delicious lattes! We got the macadamia nut (macnut) and Hawaiian honey lattes. We were the only 2 customers seated inside. It had comfortable seating and was air conditioned. The service was very quick and friendly. It also had cute merch!”
“We adopted this restaurant and typically ate there 2x per week when visiting Maui. The pesto pasta was wonderful and was the sleep and craft salad. We sure hope they will reopen somewhere after the fire that destroyed Lahaina.”
“The banana bread is awesome. Get it when it's warm and you won't be disappointed. There is a little walk through the forest, across the street, that leads to a rocky beach. The area is beautiful and looks like a good snorkeling area.”
“The woman who got us the shaved ice was so friendly and sweet! The shaved ice itself was also very good. A bit more of a crushed ice than shaved but let’s be honest here yall…it all tastes the same…it’s ice! The flavors I chose, mango and lychee were also delicious. The vanilla ice cream was a nice touch as well. Some people said pricing is not listed, however it is on the board when you walk in and add-on pricing is very clear (in front of your face). This was a cute shop in Maui and I would reccomend it for a quick and yummy treat! 4/5 for the atmosphere because it was a bit dark in the shop and we weren’t sure if it was open, however the friendly woman quickly asked if we were here for shaved ice to let us know they’re open! Again, friendly and delicious!* Please note, the lychee flavor is a clear syrup so the white side is not dull in color. It is simply clear flavoring!”
“This coffee shop is perfection. My "usual" each day on vacation was an iced coffee w/almond milk and a pump of coconut and macadamia nut. Drinks were consistent each time. I loved the hibiscus mango tea and ube banana bread for the occasional pick me up.I also love to see staff genuinely smiling! ? Thank you for being our little hub during our girl's trip.”
“Recommended by an employee at the hotel we stayed at and worth the trip off campus. Very small with limited seating options so getting take out might be ideal, but we were able to sit and had a great time. The staff was so friendly and helpful. There was a TV playing clips of people doing dumb things so the kids were occupied. Dole whip float, cheap wine and beer we're all great. We have complicated dietary needs and all pizzas came out quick and correct.”
“What a delight to go to this Gelato store. The woman was so friendly and accomodating about helping us chose which gelato to get, from her extensive homemade gelato flavors. There is something for everyone! I highly recommend this creamery. 700 Front Street Lahaina, Maui”
“808 was recommended by Dee's Poi Mochi as great food truck fare in Lahaina. Our experience is that some of it is solid and some less than expected. We tried their fish, carne asada, and Al pastor tacos. Here the fish was the most flavorful, partly due to flavoring on fish and also the generous sauce on top (see second pic). Al pastor taco solid, though a bit drier than what I usually think of Al pastor tacos. Carne asada taco was underwhelming. Would get fish again and try other items. A taco plat comes with rice and beans, and the dirty rice was strong flavor while beans with cheese on top was expectedly bland.Loved their al pastor tacos and fish tacos. Their rice was super flavorful too. Skip the carne asada tacos. Recommended by Dee's, food was okay.”

“We had a fabulous time at Ulana. I went with my niece and grand nephews, and the food quality and choices were amazing, and the service unbelievable. I cannot say enough good things about our meal there. We had the brunch, and so many times at other restaurants, the servers can be very scarce during brunch. Our server (so very sorry, can't remember his name), was attentive without being intrusive, and always there when we needed ANYTHING. Highly recommend this restaurant.”
“Very beautiful views while you eat and the food sizes were quite large! We were surprised at how large the chopped salads were and the chips and queso also came with a lot of chips, perfect to eat with your salad as well!We didn't get any drinks as they seemed fairly pricey for the size but the food was definitely worth it!”
“Food was excellent. We had the papaya and shrimp salad, pork buns, shrimp shemi and hot and sour soup. It's a share type style. Service was great. You all should try it when in Lahaina!”
“Ordered food at the bar with the bartender to enjoy at the bar tables. The food came rather quickly as this spot filled up quite fast in a short amount of time. The bartender was very helpful & because of that I would definitely go back here to enjoy myself again.”

“Love Longhis, Kaanapali! With Old Lahaina Town Longhis, gone, they have a location now in Marriott in Kaanapali. We had Easter Dinner there on the beach. Atmosphere is great, with nice views of the beach, ocean, and sunset. Food was great, service was fairly good, but because close to beach, there were some kids running around in bathing suits, no shoes to visit with their folks who were also sitting around our table. Not just one instance but a couple tables, had same experience. We were dressed up for a nice Longhis dinner, so did not expect the casual bathing suites. Food was good; service was a bit erratic, likely due to lack of enough help. First time at this location. I would return for the view and cocktails...perhaps dinner also...just not so formal dress next time for us.”
“I recently dined at a Thai restaurant, and overall, it was a delightful culinary adventure. The combination of delectable dishes, including Crab Rangoon, Papaya Salad, and Green Curry with Chicken, along with a refreshing Thai Iced Tea, made for an excellent meal. However, there were a few areas where the restaurant could benefit from some updates.Let's start with the food—the star of the show. The Crab Rangoon was simply outstanding. The crispy exterior gave way to a creamy and flavorful filling that perfectly balanced the flavors of the crab and cream cheese. It was truly a taste sensation. The Papaya Salad was another standout dish. The vibrant medley of fresh papaya, chili, lime, and peanuts created a symphony of sweet, sour, and spicy notes that left my taste buds tingling with delight. The Green Curry with Chicken was equally impressive. The tender chicken, bathed in a luscious green curry sauce bursting with aromatic herbs and spices, was a testament to the chef's expertise. Each bite transported me to the bustling streets of Thailand. To complement my meal, I opted for a classic Thai Iced Tea, and it did not disappoint. The creamy, slightly sweet tea with hints of spice provided a refreshing and indulgent accompaniment to the rich and flavorful dishes. While the food was undoubtedly the highlight of my dining experience, I couldn't help but notice that the restaurant could use some updating. The decor felt a bit outdated, and the ambiance didn't quite match the exquisite flavors that graced the plates. A modern and refreshed interior design could elevate the overall dining experience and create a more inviting atmosphere.”
“Nikki's Pizza is a place you ***NEED*** to try. Pizza and service is unbelievably top notch! A worldwide traveler shared that he never tasted pizza that was so good! “A local business that stands for and upholds America first values. That alone would have cemented my positive opinion, however the food was also fantastic. 10/10 do recommend. We need to support businesses like this!”
“Every visit to Maui my wife and I wound up at kohola brewery on many nights! Why? Great atmosphere, delicious beer (Waterman our favorite), and - most of all - a warm & welcoming people!! Also, music which ranged in quality from fantastic to …not good, all of which made kohola our favorite pub on Maui!!!”

“The wait staff are rude morons. Argumentative and slow as hell. Everything else is spectacular. Spent $750 on a meal for my family and still got a chilly non-nice attitude from the wait people. Troubling. Been going there since 1995, but wow, might be my last visit this time.”
“Great restaurant to watch the sunset right on the ocean. Service was not great but hopefully it was just an off day for them, I will give the benefit of the doubt.”
“Excellent, amazing food! Agree with a few other reviews that the ambience leaves a little to be desired, as it’s pretty plain inside. It seems it was basically a generic golf clubhouse that Roy’s took over. The service wasn’t great, but the food was the star of the night. Oh, get the chocolate ganache….wow!”
“Overall very good. I was questioned on my reservation as to whether or not, this was a special event. I answered that it was an anniversary. I was disappointed that there was no mention from the staff regarding this event. There was also no free dessert for the event. I am wondering why I was even questioned on my reservation as to a special event.”
“The staff were really friendly and provided excellent service. The food was delicious and we had a nice view of the sunset! The price was very reasonable. All around wonderful experience.”
“Great food and flavors, kind staff and convenient reservations. Just at the end of the Napili beach you can walk to it on the beach if you’re staying anywhere in the bay.”
“We had a breakfast here and it was good, we had a dinner here and it was one of the best meals we have ever had…the views, the service, the food was all great.”

“We had an amazing experience here. Not only was the Poke bowl delicious, but the service and hospitality were outstanding. Ford is a genuinely kind soul who truly enjoys people, sharing stories and loves what he does. The hotel itself is currently closed to the public because it is home to Red Cross workers at the moment. Our server Michael was also wonderful. They truly want their customers to have a wonderful experience at their restaurant and treat you like family. Please go here just to meet the wonderful folks running this restaurant.”
“This place is absolute FIRE! If you’re in the area - it’s simply unmissable.Awesome food & service. We went there twice during our 4 day visit - once for a quick drink and snack, then again for our last meal before heading to our next destination.Wings, Pizza & Baby back ribs 10/10.Happy hour drinks & menu as well. Mahalo!”
“Really a great, well rounded, experience. I have been to Maui several times but this was my first visit to Merrimen's. It will NOT be my last. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but the service, atmosphere, location and (of course) the food make it a very special place.”
