“This is a place that you need to plan accordingly the wait for our order was 50 minutes and they have no seating so we called ahead and planned a beach day where we could enjoy our lunch. On the website they do caution you that it’s not fast food and normally takes 40-50 minutes so don’t expect great food to be ready in 5 minutes. It’s definitely worth the wait since everything we ordered was excellent! I can’t imagine how good it would be if we ate it after being freshly made.They make their noodles so everything is cooked fresh and made to order. You can even see the noodles being made in the shop. We ordered the Garlic Ulu Portabello, Lechon Malunggay, Adobong Lechon Kawali and then made our own pasta where you pick the noodles, sauce and protein. Servings size are huge so we all shared and got to try a lot of food. My fav was definitely the Lechon Malunggay. Lechon was so crispy and the noodles so tasty. But everything was sooo deliciousThe lady at the counter was so friendly.“

“Wow! A must-go and the best Joe's on the island. The mountain view is beautiful, from pretty much any seat in the place. The garden walk is well worth showing up an hour early to enjoy. Waiting for a table isn't so bad when the garden has so much to offer.Food and drinks were excellent, and the staff was very friendly.All put together, it was a bit expensive but worth it. “Driving back from Hau’ula to Kaneohe, we stopped for lunch. We each had the laulau and it was pretty good. The side of lomi salmon was fresh. The haupia had a funny texture. “A nice place to stop on the way to the North Shore. In addition to the restaurant, inside there is a gift shop and jewelry counters. We ordered the half chicken plate and the shell-on garlic shrimp plate, which were each $18. Chicken was cooked well and had a subtle sweet smoky flavour. I recommend the shrimp too, which were buttery, garlicky, fresh, and plentiful. The mac salad was the best I've had on this trip so far. Loved that they have lots of seating inside and big bathrooms to wash your hands before/after your meal. Will definitely come back.“

“Got two mixed plates so got to try the smoked meat, smoked chicken, hamburger steak, and chili. All the smoked items were definitely the highlight. I didn't care much for the chili and the hamburger steak. The chilis flavors were not the best and I definitely prefer brown gravy for my hamburger steak. I'd come back again but will definitely just get more smoked items - if it's in the name of the restaurant, stick to those items.“

“Palace Saimin on King Street is a true hidden gem that transports you back in time with its old-school taste done right. This quaint spot may be small, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in flavor. The menu is super simple, featuring saimin, udon, and BBQ sticks - perfect for those who know exactly what they're craving. While seating can be a bit of a challenge depending on when you arrive, the quick and friendly service more than makes up for it. Just a heads-up, parking is limited to a few stalls in front, and whatever you do, DO NOT park at the Post Office across the street. “Love their lava bowl! I have yet to try other things from here because I can help but always get their lava bowl! It comes with shrimp tempura, spicy ahi, unagi sauce, over brown rice. So ono! I crave this every time I'm in the area. At the Kaneohe location, they have a walk up type storefront. It's really easy to order and the people working there are really nice. “Came on National spam musubi day 8/8! Love how they are opened super early 6am so we can grab breakfast. There are so many options!!! We tried various spam musubi, dynamite chicken and garlic peanuts. They even have curry, noodles, and poke bowls which we didn't get a chance to try.The lady at the counter was super friendly and efficient. There is a parking lot and the store is spacious and clean. “I'm an ass, I have been selfishly stalling on this review because I don't want it to be so crowded they turn me away. I really enjoy the homey feels of their food. Even when the man grouchy you cannot taste it in his food it still tastes good. I maybe tried only like 3 things because it's hard to change when you ono for something and that something is so good you scared the next thing going make you wish you had the other thing. Hamburger steak is that thing. I don't know how they make the mochiko chicken so lightly fried almost like tempura. I like that there is a sauce for it. I want to tell you what the worst thing is but I cannot get past the first few things to try everything on the menu ..I want to, but chances are everything is great. Which is not open Sunday Mondays and when they need a break from a holes like me and sometimes they have tsukemonos, natto thingies, & special made desserts on the days I cannot go. So let me tell you the coolest thing is the actual people of bobs burgers (the show) made a cartoon of Ethel's and it looks just like them as if they stepped out of that cartoon. Freakin awesome but so is the girl who runs this place.“

“A little hole in wall place near Kailui Beach Park serving decent take out food for the beach. The chicken katsu, spicy fried chicken and loco moco were pretty good. The beef curry was average and we would not order again. They offer a mini size for a lot of their menu items which we found perfect for eating at the beach.“

“It's a small location but it packs a punch. The service was quick and the line didn't take too long to get through. The poke is quality and their poi is delicious. Dried aku is a favorite of mines and they have some of the best. Next time I'm gonna try their plates. I look forward to coming back!“

“I have been wanting to try this place for a while. There is parking in front but limited. We decided to park in the garage, which wasn't pricey. We went between 1 to 2, and it wasn't busy. We ordered the grilled cheese sandwich for the kids and waffle fries. Also ordered the Papa Smokes Burger, a Buttah Big Boi Burger, thai milk tea, and brown sugar ube milk.I wasn't too impressed with the drinks. Was a bit water down. But we did like the food. The waffle fries were crunchy and had nice seasoning to it. The grilled cheese was glooey and the kids loved that. The japanese milk bread used with the grilled cheese was good. My kids ate it, so I was happy, lol. I enjoyed the papa smokes burger. The bun was soft and the brisket and burger patties were cooked great. My bf really enjoyed the big boi burger. It is a big burger with three patties and he really enjoyed it. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would go back again. Sorry, pictures/videos aren't good. lol we were hungry.“

It is a family-owned business that specializes in poke, char siu, and roasted pork.Overall, I thought the food was solid! Poke was tasty with good flavors, along with their char siu. However, I wasn't a fan of their roasted pork. The skin on the pork wasn't as crispy as I hoped for, it was appetizing but nothing outstanding to me.All in all, Alicia's Market is worth trying out. The market is quaint with no seating, more of an order to-go spot. Parking can be tricky as it shares it's parking lot with several other business. Staff was nice and service was fairly quick.“

Ordered the laundry laundry plate w/poi and a squid luau. Good size lau lau and poi. Pipi kaula was delicious and sweet potato was tasty. I enjoyed the squid luau. My friend lives the tripe stew. “Takeout lunch from Kalihi, Honolulu, Hawaii... I had Tatsuo's bookmarked for a while. It's an old-school type of place. There were some seats for dining in, but there were some guys there, and I didn't wanna cramp their style. Located at the beginning of Sand Island Access Road - on a lane to the right - on the right-hand side of the street, Tatsuo's is also known for their catering. Hint: I would get their namasu for a party... Note: they're closed on weekends and are open from 5:30am to 1pm Monday through Friday... so, plan ahead! Bonus: there are two designated parking stalls in front I got the Pork Loin plate... I had to find somewhere to eat with knife and fork... LOL! I should have thought harder and gotten the Beef Stew - then I wouldn't need a knife, but Pork Loin jumped out at me. Anyway, the Pork Loin was tasty and satisfying! It was a bit hard and a little dry at times, but I dipped the pieces in the namasu sauce and the House dressing (creamy Oriental) from my tossed green salad. Yummy! I gotta go back for the Beef Stew... it's haunting me now... Service was excellent! The nice, patient, polite man at the counter noticed that I was taking photos and asked if I was doing it for social media... Uh... Yeah, I guess so... Haha!“

Especially the spicy ahi (tuna) katsu and the ahi salad.The largest ordering/dining space among Fresh Catch on Oahu. There is also poke that is not available in other branches. In-store dining is possible and parking space is large. I usually like spicy firecrackers, so I ordered fireballs, and my friend said they were spicy and delicious. Poke is priced per pound, so just ask for the amount of rice (1 scoop/2 scoops) you want and the amount of poke or tacos you want (recommended). The daily specials are delicious and plentiful.“
