“Royal Taj is our go-to restaurant for special occasions, like our 20th Wedding Anniversary last week. It never fails to deliver excellence. Because it was a very special dinner, we decided to try something different. So my wife ordered the Lobster Malabar and I ordered the Grilled Halibut. Both were very good, especially the Halibut which was covered in an outstanding Corn Relish. To top off the evening our excellent server, Joshi, brought us a slice of very tasty cheesecake with a lit candle on top. As usual we cannot rave loud and often enough about Royal Taj and it is all due to the GM Binda, who is very friendly, charismatic and truly sets the tone of excellence at Royal Taj.”

My favorite is the shrimp quesadillas, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the menu items. I understand the churros are a favorite too, though I’ve not personally tried them. The drive home is brutal. The food smells so amazing, I can’t park the car fast enough. 5⭐️”

I stopped by for gas after a run, saw the taco stand, and thought “why not?” Little did I know I was about to have one of the best tacos in the state.

“Oh my.. The perfect post workout meal. I recommend getting the London Broil to treat yourself. From the soft bread to the perfectly cooked meat, you can't go wrong with Bon Fresco. If you are also into soup, I recommend trying their tomato soup. It goes super well with the London Broil.”

Back in south India they had this local brand called Hangyo which churned out the best Belgian chocolate ice cream I've had in my life. Hangyo was immeasurably superior than the competition and I patronized that establishment quite frequently- much to my own detriment.

When I had a taste of the Tall Tale chocolate ice cream here it was the same moment; all over again. Identical in every fashion. I haven't had ice cream like that in 80 months. I had almost convinced myself the nostalgia for the product was a figment of my imagination but the charmery has earned the distinction of proving my sanity. Anyway, I am glad I don't live on this side of the country for the sake of my own health. Otherwise I would've had the top spot on the Charmery watchlist. You never know; the NSA's a stone's throw away.”

“We always have a good experience here but I just want to give them some praise for the accessibility. The disabled bathroom stall is so nice. First of all, it’s the very first stall right next to the door (I’ve never seen that, usually it’s the furthest stall all the way in the back, which can be annoying when you can’t walk very far). It’s also quite large, larger than your standard “accessible” stall. I would have no problem fitting in the stall with my wheelchair and my service dog. A standard accessible stall is barely big enough to fit my wheelchair, let alone with my service dog. I had a lovely conversation with the manager about the accessibility and I love the response he gave, that he doesn’t just want things to meet basic ADA standards, he wants things to be better/more accessible (because ADA standards for accessibility are quite literally the bare minimum and often aren’t easy to navigate). I really appreciate when I hear that type of sentiment because accessibility for disabled people is usually such an afterthought or simply not considered. I’ve recently had an extremely negative experience at another establishment, and it was just very nice to have such a pleasant experience this evening. I also love that every time I’ve taken my service dog, from the time he was a young puppy to now at 18 months and nearing fully trained, they’ve been very welcoming.”

I had to call the day prior to change the time and the change the time without any issues.
Our waiter SYLVAN was Perfect. He knew the menu well and all of his suggestions were spot on! The manager greeted us as we were leaving and this was a nice touch to the gathering.

Both our noodle dishes were tasty (one with beef and the other one with fish). Somehow, the noodles felt a bit overcooked. May be that’s the way they were supposed to be but we prefer them firmer. “We get take out pizza at Philly's Best, and sometimes subs. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. The people are very nice. Caveat, a few years ago they had some very rude people working the counter but they have resolved that issue and everything is great here again with the service. The atmosphere is typical take out pizza and sub shop. Very clean and neat. Easy parking. The food is always delicious. Give Philly's Best in Thunder Hill a try, you will be glad that you ordered pizza and subs here.

Both dishes were wonderful and we each took half our sandwiches home. We shared the three-scoop gelato, which was superb. I would highly recommend The Turn House.”

It was such a turn off because they were obviously done having food, and still spent their sweet time yelling over at each other, talking. Oh dear, it was a bit stressful during hunger pangs. I wanted to go home immediately, but that changed soon after we got our appetizer. 😅 Also, of note, several vegan items during brunch are unavailable during weekends and federal holidays. I didn't love that, considering it was my first time visiting their restaurant. So, just be cognizant of that. I really enjoyed the cauliflower bites, and my vegan "chicken" sandwich. Their home fries are marked vegan on the menu, so that was a nice surprise. With some bell peppers and a little bit of tomato sauce, it was a nice touch of zing.
