“Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. The salsa was very tasty and not overly spicy. The coffee was even tasty (Costco Kirkland medium roast). Unlike some breakfast restaurants, the background music was so low and mellow (helps with digestion), I could hear my friends talk. We have to go back during the week for dinner. UPDATE - I forgot one very important thing, the service was excellent. Our group was one of two in the restaurant, but shortly afterwards other start to arrive. There was only one friendly waitress, who, despite the growing crowd, was able to get back to us about more coffee and to check on us”

“This was a great choose for a small relaxed family dinner. 4 stars for food, only because some meal portions were smaller than desired for the price however hats off to the cook the evening of 07/11/26; the flavor and presentation was perfect. 3 stars for service just because our hostess could have been more welcoming; personable and informative about the menu offerings etc, maybe she's just not the talking type who knows but everything else about the visit here was much enjoyed.”

“I was in KC for the weekend and if I'm in a city with a Whataburger, I'm going! I was traveling back home so I just got my food to go. I didn't get a cinnamon roll or shake this time but normally I do because they are so delicious.

The portions are typically large with the burger being big as hell. What I love is the burger and bun match in size.

I didn't get any pictures because I got it to eat later, which I did. Because nothing beats eating Whataburger at home, especially when you live in a state that does not have one.

If you have yet to try this fast food joint, I highly recommend it!”

“I went to this drive thru at 1pm today. The lady on the drive thru speaker was just the sweetest. The gentleman at the pickup window was so kind and when I looked in the bag of food I have never seen a McDonald's order wrapped and bagged so nicely. I didn't even have Ketchup on the outside of my McDouble sandwich. That has never happened before. I was just super impressed with the employees on this shift.”

My card was declined. Which puzzled me. I don't keep much money in my account, but there should have been much more than enough to cover $6 and change. (Figured out later that it was because they put a hold my last deposit - even though it was drawn on their bank - AND - there was a big funds freeze from a recent small gasoline purchase.) I was surprised and embarrassed and apologized. I was about to pull away when the young man looked at me and said: "Don't sweat it. I got you." Pulled out his wallet and swiped his card for my meal. People are good. I'm going to do something to make that young man glad for his act of kindness soon if I can. If you happen upon him (his mask was a modified neck gator (had ear straps, but also covered the back of his neck) with a sort of blue tribal print on a black background and came to a point on his chest, somewhat like a bandanna would - tell him thanks for me.”

He guided us through the menu selections and counseled us on our selections. The manager Adam Von Spreecken checked on us often to make sure our dinning experience was spectacular. “Tonight we came to Thai Orchid for my birthday and sat in Dylan’s section and he was outstanding! So friendly and attentive. He gave us just enough time without being pushy. Our food was wonderful and fresh. I cannot recommend this location enough. We ordered the soft spring rolls, steamed dumplings, shrimp yellow curry and the shrimp pad Thai. Delicious!”

“My family has had the pleasure of eating here twice. Our most recent visit was yesterday! The owner and staff make you feel right at home from the moment we walked in the door. My papdi chaat was perfection, mango lassi was refreshing, chicken shawarma wrap with fries & garlic sauce was delicious! My 13 yr. old son thoroughly enjoyed his butter chicken with naan! “We had such a great experience at the LS Pegah’s tonight. Our kids were tired from homecoming festivities and whiny, making them harder to maintain. Our waitress and the entire staff were nothing but amazing to us coming over talking to the kids and making sure we had everything we needed. There was a slight mishap with our one of our dishes and our server (Emma I think) felt so bad and went above and beyond to make it right. We will definitely be back- our food was amazing!!”

Allowing for Chef Peter to select our menu created a fun and delightful dining experience. This place is a 1/1 on the Kansas City food scene in our opinions, and we are already looking ahead to find a time to come back.”
