“Ok so this was my first time here, and I absolutely loved the atmosphere. Very cozy and welcoming. There is also an outside patio for dining, which is also super sexy. I opted to sit at the bar and order my meal. It was a nice cozy spot in the corner by the front door. A waiter suggested it when I walked in. I don't remember his name, but he is awesome because it was absolutely perfect. I was waited on by a super sexy bartender named Abby. Very welcoming and sharp. She was on the job.Moving on, I ordered the 14oz New York strip, seafood pasta, and the calamari. The calamari was the best I've EVER HAD. You have to try it. There are no small stingy pieces. All thick juicy cuts and battered to perfection. My steak was just "OK." I expected more from this place, but it just wasn't there. I grill a pretty damn good steak myself, so I'm hard on restaurants when it comes to steak. The pasta was also just "ok." The pasta noodles were overcooked, so it had that gooey sticky feel, and the sauce it was cooked in obviously wasn't made with high quality, rich ingredients. In closing, this is a classy, laid-back place. Perfect to bring a date. The service is sufficient and friendly. The food that I ordered in particular left me wanting and expecting more. Quality ingredients are a must when ppl can spend $130+ $30 tip for a meal, and that's just 1 person! The portion with the steak could've been better for that kind of money, for sure. Many restaurants post pandemic have taken shortcuts on quality ingredients and good portion sizes. Ppl don't mind paying for good food, and you actually feed them. It's so bad that it has kept me from going to higher class restaurants altogether because there is simply no value anymore.Parking: They have a couple of small parking lots. However, if you co.e when they're busy, you may have to part on the street.“
“As a foodie and a snob for the finer foods I’ve traveled a lot in the name of culinary excellence. Without exaggeration, this is in the top three restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The simple menu has just been perfected. Crab cakes, a dozen raw oysters, roasted chicken (the absolute best), and crème brûlée. This establishment has set the bar for fine dining in St Louis.“
“This has been the most exceptional dining experience in a very long time. Me & my friend came in for a quick bite. We were greeted immediately & told to hang on a sec & it was literally a second. Mike the waiter was very attentive & took care to our almost every need. Chef’s kiss to Yellowbellly!“
“Absolutely tasty. Wonderful to have this diverse pallet of flavors in St Louis. Come with good company so that you don't notice the wait. Because the food is worth it. I recommend saving room for the chocolate cake and the Passion Fruit moose. Yum.“
“Amazing food, beautiful presentation in a lovely location! If you haven't tried it, it's a must!!! We will be returning and recommending. Our party of 4 had 2 starters, a ceviche and 4 entrees- everything we ordered was beautiful and delicious! The servings are very generous and we all had leftovers to take home to enjoy.“
“0 a+ rating I would just say that everything was on time and it was hot prepared immaculately and on top of that you could get no better in service or privacy so if you want to instrument dinner with somebody that you care about deeply this would be the place to have it so a+ double a plus in my book“
“Some of the very best true Italian cuisine restaurants in St. Louis! Service is always flawless and the food outstanding! Party’s of six or more can set a reservation. Please expect to wait a bit for a table! It’s usually not long and the food is certainly worth it. My family and I have been coming here since I was a kid and I will continue that tradition!“
“This is a VERY nice restaurant in Clayton. I didn't realize it was fine dining and showed up in a hoodie and jeans. At first, I was concerned that I would be turned away or treated differently because of my attire, but that wasn't the case. We ( my son and I) were led to a booth and ordered drinks. My son ordered a burger, which looked delicious. He confirmed that it was. I ordered the lobster bisque, and it was to die for!! Velvety smooth and full of chunks of lobster! Honestly, the BEST lobster bisque I've ever had! For dessert, we had cheesecake, and again, it was divine! The atmosphere is beautiful!! You are immediately filled with a sense of calm. Its the kind of place you would take someone for a very special occasion...like a marriage proposal. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. We were well taken care of and will definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: It is NOT a place for small children.“
“Amazing food, service and staff across the board. Our waiter Maz is in the team picture of best 5 waiters I’ve ever had. Attentive beyond necessity! What waiter pours 3 guys bottled beers into a frosty glass? Maz does! Total understanding of menu, ingredients and recommendations! Highly recommend this restaurant and ask for Maz! Definitely will be back next time i’m in St. Louis!“
“First time visiting El Potro, had the enchiladas with mole and 3 tacos dinner Al pastor and carne asada. Everything from the service to the food was great. The owner and staff are super nice!! Will definitely go back , next time will try the molcajete.“
“This is in contention with the fanciest place that I've ever had dinner. I had the steak and mashed potatoes, both of which were the best that I've ever had. I added a succulent bone marrow butter that I still think about from time to time. The service is top notch as you would expect. If you are driving you have to valet park. Be prepared for that. Also, plan to spend money. It was the most expensive ticket that I've ever had.“
“I really enjoyed this place a lot. From the moment I entered the staff members were incredibly friendly and suggested so many different foods. I was served with smiles and fun conversations. This place gave "family" vibes. Everyone was so kind, they felt familiar. I'm a stickler about things being hot and fresh. Everything I ordered was hot, fresh, and tasty. I definitely will be back to try more of their food. This is a place I recommend because they have good food and good service.“
“I love the food. However, I just realized they charge 15% gratuity on carry out orders. I just paid $15 to have my food put in a plastic bag. And I always tip for carry out, not knowing until today that I'm tipping on top of the 15% they've already added.“
“Another fantastic evening overall at TMH! We snagged the last Fish and Chips special thank goodness bc it's a new favorite you've got to try. The Salmon risotto special was delicious, as was the beet and butternut squash salad topped with salmon. Of course the Denver Wagyu was perfectly prepared. The bourbon smash is a must try. Addison, our server, is always delightful; the service at TMH keeps us coming back just as much as the food! Best place to eat and drink on Main Street!!“
“I love Mexican food, and I've been here previously with a coworker bit wanted my wife to experience the place. This is more than a restaurant, it's a destination! The food and service were excellent my last time here. Although on this visit, the service was very slow, and my wife's Quesadilla was way overcooked.Every place can have an off night, I'll say this was their off night. We will be back. The carne asada was outstanding!!!“
“Delicious food with large portions! It was hot, fresh and seemed legit homemade and authentic. Fun atmosphere with live music! Service was efficient and attentive. Will return! You can tell the owner takes pride in operating a great restaurant.“
“Just a heads up they do have a sign that says they can search you before entering. We came in a Saturday night and it was busy! They had two customers celebrating their birthday so the bar decorated the entire place! There is a DJ in a booth. There is a stage to dance. Outside there is two covered seating areas, fire pits and tons of room for at least fifty people. The bartenders were very nice. They made us lemon drops which were delicious. The atmosphere is very neat, laid back and fun. They promote for 35 and up for the "grown and sexy." It is a club feel.“
“Cobalt Smoke & Sea is the perfect marriage between surf & turf. They have something for everybody! This is a spot where you can bring a seasoned foodie or a curious food newbie. The ambiance is enchanting illuminated with lit up Ginkgo trees stationed around the restaurant.See below. This is unique.Step 1: Pick a protein. I chose scallops. You could also choose Sea Bass, Salmon, Tiger Shrimp, Rainbow Trout, Beef Tenderloin, Pork Chop, Cornish Hen, Ribeye, & Wagyu.Step 2: Pick your style. I chose Mediterranean which included saffron risotto, olive tapenade, Italian herbs, & basil cream sauce. You could also choose these styles.Traditional - whipped potatoes, haricot verts, crispy onion, and béarnaise sauceHarvest - sweet potato hash, bacon & kale, charred lemon & maple bacon butterCaribbean - dirty rice and andouille sausage, fried okra, & blackening spices remouladeIt creates so much versatility for your dining experience!“
“Hello. I am a "regular" now at Oceano Bistro (and I have been for a while). It's about time I wrote a review. The food here is excellent. The service is wonderful. The atmosphere is open and welcoming. I have my place at the bar that provides me with a great spot to view all the action. I would like to thank and recognize the following individuals: Alex, Robert, Scotty, Ben, Jake, Mary, Matt (bar/server), Matt (kitchen), Armando (kitchen), Ann, Pierre, Marena, Amy, Sasha and ... last but not least ... Amer. I know I am missing a few names here ... sorry. I look forward to my next visit. See you soon everyone. CHEERS.“
“This might be one of my new favorite lunch spots. The food is absolutely amazing. This was my first Poke bowl experience. I was nervous about it at first but the food was amazing and the service was even better. Highly recommend especially for a lunch that won’t leave your stomach feeling heavy after.“
“Stopped in Gulf Shores Restaurant for the first time and had a wonderful experience! I'm from the east coat and haven't had good seafood since I was back east. This restaurant delivered great seafood that reminding me of home! Definitely recommend! The food and service was outstanding!! My new favorites restaurant in the area!!“
“went for lunch & was sat in sabrina’s section — sabrina was freaking hilarious and had amazing customer service skills , she is an amazing server and deserves all the recognition possible (and maybe a raise) , will def be coming back !!“
“Come often and never disappointed. Yesterday had Margarita', chicken wings & cheese dish. Everything was Amazing. The owner always speaks and the staff makes sure everything is to your liking. 1st class & best Mexican is St. Louis.“
“Website says dress code was “smart casual”, and in actuality it was far more casual than that. People were in sweats, hoodies, one wore shorts to dinner when it had snowed 6” that day. It made me wonder who didn't care because they were rich versus who didn't know about dress code.“
“Hidden gem! Despite being hidden in a rather boring strip mall Cowbron truly stands out as a great Mexican restaurant. It's a relatively new spot, and as I mentioned it's pretty unknown, so don't expect to wait long for a table. I personally have eaten here about 5-6 times and have yet to wait for a table on a Thursday or Friday night. Don't be fooled, they are amazing but quite off the map in terms of nearby restaurants, which is how I account for their low wait times. The food is great! The fajitas are large portions, enough for two to split after a couple baskets of chips and queso, and they have THE BEST CARNITAS I have ever had in my entire life. As a former chef I can definitely speak to this as carnitas are a dish that take time and thoughtfulness to be done great, both of which are evident once you've tried the tender meat on offer here. As a regular to Mariachis II and La Catrina I can tell you that this place has earned a spot in my top 3 favorite Mexican joints in the city. Go to Cowbron!“
“Happy hour! They have a great happy hours Monday- Friday 4-7 and 10-close… Look online for the details but the hurricane, muffaletta, peel and eat shrimp were pretty good. Fun ambiance with nice music. They have life music but we came to early. Totally worth checking for a good deal… we did get some of the house infused rums, got a daiquiri and a mojito… pomegranate and strawberry mint (or similar), both drinks were good. Recommended.“
“Absolutely amazing food! I've tried about 12 rolls so far, the seaweed salad, and orange chicken. My partner and I can't get enough of this place! This is one of the best places to eat around Grand and Gravois. I love being able to order online and bring it home!“
“We sat at the bar Easter my husband & I. AJ was amazing!!! She was friendly had a smile on Her face and was very knowledgeable for the entire menu, and all the drinks, and even could describe how it tasted on your pallet basically, which is very hard for a lot of people, I was impressed. It was a very good time and my dirty martini was so yummy with the blues cheese olives.“
“Wine was cold, appetizer hot, food plentiful and hot. Service was great. Prices reasonable. Definitely a repeat. Little known gem.Parking: Anyway large strip mallWheelchair accessibility: They have booths or tables with chairs which can be removed and easy seating for wheelchair. No steps“
“Jordan took care of us and was super friendly. The food was amazing, and I would eat here every week if I lived here. The other kitchen staff and front staff were very helpful and kind our experience doubled due to this! The little robot that came to our table was also adorable!“
“This was my first time going to dim sum in St. Louis. I was surprised at how spacious the store was with its high ceilings. The staff was passing around putting dim sum in a cart, and it was an authentic style where you could take what you liked. The fried rice had a good taste, but the rice was crushed. I couldn't eat the seafood dim sum that I was looking for, so I would like to get revenge again. Prices are also reasonable.“
“Nicki is the best Nicole is an awesome person awesome customer service ??? awesome food ??Parking: Front or backKid-friendliness: Yes and they have plenty of space ? no games but it's very nice on the inside ?Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it's wheelchair accessible ??“
“I frequent the restaurant for brunch and happy hour and this was my first time coming for dinner. Although my party had a reservation, we still had to wait 30 min for another party to get up. The party was rude even though they were told several times to leave. To accommodate us, the manager provided free apps and dessert. The wait was disappointing, but the server Jackie made up for it with her warm hospitality.“
“Pretty solid. Was our first time having Indian, so this was a new experience. We got the dinner for 2, the soup was super good! The chicken tikka masala and the lamb curry was nice, though my lamb had a super crunchy bit that I couldn’t tell what it was. Not as spicy as I was hoping for but I was happy. The rice pudding they gave wasn’t very good, had a muted taste. The bread was excellent. Service was okay, the servers weren’t very chatty and we had like 4 different people checking in. Kind of an awkward experience. Would definitely get carry out or go again!“
“I had been looking for another good black, owned fish, restaurant, other than mothers. Even though I like mothers fish, there aren’t many around…. When I found the Fishhouse, I realize I had found a home.. it’s a family owned business, and their fish is fresh and fried well. They even have good sides, and I don’t usually eat everyone’s side dishes.“
“Great Place to dine ? The Cajun boil bag is DELICIOUS! It came with ? corn, ?potatoes, sausage ? and shrimp ? Awwwe Man the broth n sauce in the bag was soo tasteful and full of garlic ? and it came with a side of garlic bread ?Definitely will be eating here again?? and recommending to my friends ?“
“Would have never even known this place existed, but we got a "seize the deal". Started with the chicken wing special. We are both very picky, and these wings were cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. We got the cod dish to split. We could have split the half. Such garlicky goodness. We live in Portsmout and will go again. The picture I posted is half.“
“I took my daughter who's 2 on her first bus ride. It must've been God's Plan. Our scheduled day had changed just as our little adventure had begun. At first, we were just going to go home. Instead, we detoured inside to the KING CHOP SUEY on West Florissant. We had such a wonderful and memorable time! The lady took our order and was so very patient. She made our day so much better. (I wish I had learned her name.) My daughter and I sat in and ate. Well, I sat, the baby sat every once in a while. (terrible 2's ?) No one complained, made faces, or gave any attitude. The food was SO GOOD, even the Crab Rangoon! It was hot, fresh and made just as asked. She called out my order as a number but I didn't have one. (it's on the receipt btw). I told her she hadn't given me a number. She didn't argue that she did or give me any flack. She just asked what I ordered. I found it later in my pocket later with my change. (Sorry Ma'am ?) I also asked for something so my daughter could eat on her own. She gave me a cute little baby sized box. It was perfect. The place was very clean, AND I felt safe, which is really something to say in St. Louis City. So, as we're walking through the door later that night, when we FINALLY got home, the first thing my daughter said was RICE!! So we ate the leftovers. That was probably the clearest thing I've heard this girl say besides No, Mama, and Juice. Thank You Guys So Much!!! If ever I get another chance, I'll be back. I definitely recommend this location to others. A much better than their competitors. (Place Unspoken)Kid-friendliness: My daughter and I sat in and ate. “Well, I've only been once to get oysters for a NYE soiree. The industrial park joint was none too fancy and, of course, smelled about like you'd expect a seafood wholesaler's to, but super friendly service, solid selection, great price and quality, so five stars for my needs.“
“Quaint little restaurant with authentic Mexican cuisine. The staff is nice and attentive and the food is delicious! They have gluten sensitive options as well.Vegetarian options: You can get just about every dish without meat and it will still be delicious.Dietary restrictions: Great place for gluten sensitive customers because you can substitute wheat for cornParking: Ample free parkingKid-friendliness: Plenty of choices on the kid menu.“
“My son’s took me to this place for my birthday brunch. He reserved a table so I highly recommend you check availability to avoid long wait time. Our waitress Mone’ was Awesome ?? she had our table set and ready upon our arrival. It’s a small location but it’s nice there’s video music ?playing on the big screen ? at a low volume and conversational paintings ?️ on the walls while you wait for your order. I ordered the lamb chops with the glaze sauce on the side it was delicious, my son’s and my mom had the shrimp Alfredo, fried potatoes, stacked pancakes, fried chicken, French toast all was good. It was funny that we all eating saying okay this taste good and my son was like mama let me taste your lamb chops I handed him a bone with a little meat? Try this place out you will not be disappointed“
“Had my phone delivered to me. The food was really good, been avoiding take out places/restaurants for a while bc I’m very particular but seriously the best take out I’ve had in a while. Never in my life ever been a tart sauce person but OMG best tartar sauce I’ve ever had. The shrimp was outstanding (again not something I eat Ever!) it’s a bit of drive for but I’ll definitely be back“
“I ate here tonight and had the Chile Colorado with beef tips in verde sauce. The beef was tender and the sauce was nice and hot, very good. The portions were standard and the rice and beans were good too. The atmosphere is more quiet than other competitors which was nice. They also had a man singing and playing guitar which was a real nice touch. The service was fine. The chips could be upgraded. I will be going back sooner than later.“
“We've passed this place several times and for my birthday, I figured we'd give it a try.The place is exactly the aesthetic I was hoping for, a lodge/inn look, with great lighting and simple decor. It's not something others may care about, but for me, it sets a great mood. And this place delivers on that for me.I was told they had a tomahawk ribeye steak on special, and I couldn't resist ordering it (admittedly, without asking the price), my wife ordered the filet.I don't want to complain too much, especially since we didn't bring it up to our server, but we both ordered the steaks medium-rare, and what we both received was medium to medium-well... a significant temperature difference. Especially for those cuts. That was disappointing, but we stopped 'complaining' about overcooked steaks a long time ago; too many horror stories. But, the flavor was outstanding, seasoned flawlessly, my only nitpick on the tomahawk (besides being overcooked) was the rosemary garnish, it should have been left off the dish unless you love to eat those needles. That is pretty much culinary school 101, don't plate something that can't or shouldn't be eaten. The staff was great with everything else, including bringing me a cupcake with a candle on it and wishing me a 'Happy Birthday'.For the price, I expected much better preparation of the steaks, but the place itself, the service/staff, and the overall flavor of everything were very very good. It's a birthday dinner I'll not forget (in a good way).“
“Ambiance = none I stopped in for plain white steamed rice to go. The smells are AMAZINGLY DELIGHTFUL so upon entering I was disappointed to see a large too With really no decor only tables and chairs. I did not go on a tour, nor peruse the online photos so I'm guessing that the back rooms are sexy intimate dining rooms. But that's for you to check out! Enjoy“
“I visited here for my daughter birthday it was really fun I liked that we can dine in it was very nice & cozy, I think the crew thatbI was with wrote their names like over the place in different parts of the store, I had a good experience here ...But I know after that someone found a bug in their food they which I knew them. & I haven't been back every since..Do anyone know if they still have bugs bc they were good when I visit?Comment if u know“
“Yum yum yum. I called ahead since there were 10 of us coming in & they had the table ready with no questions! It's a smaller area so if you do have a larger group I would definitely call ahead. Tried almost everything on the menu & it was all amazing. I don't think you can go wrong! Parking is all street parking so don't try to drive directly to the restaurant!“
“Listen, I totally forgot about this place until I was looking for a shrimp po' boy and I am so upset that I have missed about a year of their food. Stop and get something even if the line happens to be long. It is WORTH THE WAIT! Even my kids like their fish, which is highly unusual.“
“Well …we all know that’s it’s hard to find an great friendly good fast food restaurant that actually have great tasting food. My Goodness you gotta come to This Captain Ds PLEASEsssss. Bon app appreciate there great service keep up the Fantastic job.!!!!“
