“What an amazing place. Selected it as a venue for a gathering of friends as an upstate/downstate geo midpoint. Food was unbelievably amazing (ordered off appetizer menu, late night menu, but the whole menu looked great), hosts Russ & Helga were warm welcoming and friendly, live music from Ethan Levy was perfect, every server and bartender were top notch. We will definitely be back. This is a rare Hudson Valley jewel that I am so glad we found.“
“Given that our dinner was at a premier culinary school my lamb was very disappointing. I specifically told our server that I wanted it medium rare but he stated that the could only serve it medium which I agreed to. When it came out it was more than well done and dry. Even the server recognized this. I sent it back. We raise lamb and would hope it is prepared in a way that consumers enjoy this an alternative to other meat. The key is a proper preparation. If someone had not had lamb before, they would probably not order it again if this is the dish they were presented.“
“Our experience was pleasant. The food was delicious and presented exceptionally. Appetizers and main dishes were served hot and great presentation. Able to walk from one event to the next made things so convenient .But we were particularly impressed by every staff member. “We unexpectedly stumbled upon this diner when looking for somewhere to eat on our ride home to Jersey. This diner is worth a stop on your list!It was so cute inside-everything was decorated with cool posters on the walls, even the bathrooms and spunky light fixtures covered the ceiling. There was a "soda shop" area, a "bakery" area, and a bar with some seating. They had a decent amount of booths/bar chairs -only half of which were open when we were there, but seems like that depends on the time you go.I got a lunch special -Mac and cheese & pulled pork grilled cheese, it was amazing. Also ordered were a chicken sandwich, eggs Benedict, and a "down under" burger, all of which came out great. We tried a cream soda and headed back on the road with our black and white cookies (only one pictured because I ate mine too fast) ?Everything is very clean, prices are great, atmosphere is very welcoming, service was goodWe would go back again!“

“I have thoroughly enjoyed the menu and atmosphere of Fireside for years. Today was the first time their food was not five star. Two of us had a tri-tip roast with a section we could not cut through instead of the usual soft and delicious. I’m looking forward to our next visit and seeing if they are back to five star.“
“What's not to love? This Wappingers spot is right in town, they serve up tasty food, quality beverages, and the staff will treat you well. The bar is quite nice, and definitely clean. Even better, when it's nice outside, there's an adorable back deck that's perfect for sipping a cider, or one of their serious selection of craft beers on tap. There are also cocktails available, but they seem to truly care about the tap selection. Right now they've got a 16% ABV stout out of Brooklyn on tap, which is downright dangerous. This seems like the rare bar that not only fries things well, but it also cares about the rest of its menu too. No one is ever sad about bang bang shrimp and chicken fingers and fries (we order like adults around here), but the salads are very solid as well. There are even vegetarian and vegan options for your friends who aren't quite as meaty (technical term). And that's all I have to say about that.“

“Dive bar in Highland, NY. It's worth the visit for sure. Hospitality is great as the owner Sal came around and greeted us. The waitress was on point. We got the wings, and these were your old school wings, meaty and flavorful. Definitely not the pigeon wings you get from some places. So yea, Sals place is absolutely worth the whiskey ?“

“Googled a good sports bar and this was the number one option. It's a indoor golf/whiskey bar more than a sports bar but drinks are good and cheap. The kitchen messed up my food order but it was still good so I won't knock any points off. The bartender and staff were super friendly and welcoming. I'll come back for sure.“

Hubby had the Parmesan crusted swordfish and said it was deliciously moist. I went with the bone in filet. What generous portions! “This was my second visit. Great place to meet with friends and listen to live music. I see a the American equivalent of a British pub, but much more colorful and cozy. Good selection of tasty comfort food, excellent service, good assortment of draft beers, pool table next to a generously sized area for bands and open mics to play. “My first time here. A couple of friends who’ve visited establishment numerous had treated us to dinner here. Nice looking place! I am loving and digging that chef statue they have near the entrance. Brings back some fond memories of being a chef and cook who had worked in several of food establishments! I had the 12 ounce burger with French fries and American cheese. Burger was cooked to perfection well done. Fries had good flavor. Sampling the onion rings and salad for appetizers while awaiting main course. Waitress Maddie and her assistant I didn’t get the gentleman’s name they both provided excellent service!! Very attentive and thorough with any questions we had about the foods we ordered. Food was excellent I enjoyed everything! Had a blast! I don’t eat out often much anymore but this was a great treat and experience! Rest of company also ordered burgers and was happy with everything! We did ask the waitress to turn down the volume and they did, but the annoying joke was where is the Mechanical Bull in this upper quality dining experience?!? “The service and food were spectacular! I was really surprised by the quality of food in a sports bar. Enjoyed the Cashew Chicken wrap so much I came back and had it again! The only down side is there were a lot of tv's. In my opinion too many and a little too loud. But it is a sports bar so thats to be expected. Highly recommend the food and drink!“
