“This place was really amazing. Me and my friends did a brunch. The food was fantastic the drinks were delicious. We really had a great time. The waitress treated us really good and she was always coming around to see if we needed anything. Thank you so much Maria for your service.“
“My favorite brunch in Brooklyn maybe even nyc !! Everything is absolutely delicious, fresh, good portions and you can tell they use quality products while maintaining good prices! Their coffee and drinks are also incredible. They were really cute before and just went through a lovely renovation that matches the incredibly quality of the food! Amazing friendly staff, I go so much they've started to recognize us, love you Betty!“
“Nice cozy place to go with someone. Lots of classics on the menu. If you’re a fan of Argentinian food you will notice a lot of overlap, although this may be a controversial statement. The Provoleta was really satisfying and the Chivito was as I was expecting.“
“Was the perfect plan for Christmas Eve. The cocktails was amazing, the services was amazing, Alex was really nice!! We can see that they take care of every little detail in the food and drinks presentation and it was absolutely good, the music, the environment- Just perfect. I really don’t understand the reviews that says the opposite this place is 1000“
“Fatima's is the best. I got the pernil, which I don't see on the "dishes I recommend" list, and that is a crime because this pernil was *amazing.* Also just plain old rice and beans, I don't know what they do to them but even the next day when they were cold they were still the best damn rice and beans I've ever had.“
“Amazing! Food is flavorful and delicious. Our server Juju was attentive and made great recommendations. The backyard is beautiful, great atmosphere. The gin martini was perfect. We shared the Frijoles, shrimp tacos and the chicken. Highly recommend!“
“Brilliant. Perfect. I had no idea there was a Tabaré closer to my house than the one in Williamsburg. Love love love the place, the staff and the food obviously. Everything we ordered was delicious (Uruguayan sausage, Chicken Liver pate, Beet salad, Shrimps, Churrasco). I don’t think that we were done eating when we tried to figure out when we could come back next. Also, really fair prices. Just great :)“
“Had a great experience tonight and definitely recommend:- Owners and workers were all friendly, helpful and on point.- Place was full of patrons, decorated nicely with musical theme, and vibe; Live band plays on wkends.- Food arrivals were perfect, tasted fantastic and we were so full. Had Calamari Fritto to start, Carne Asada (skirt steak) and Ropa Vieja, and ended with Coconut Flan.“
“Mia was great first time coming to this spot and I enjoyed it, the mimosa was hitting ! Definitely a spot to come back tooVegetarian options: Good options for all food choicesParking: Weekend parking will be perfect or you can get on the meter“
“Highly Recommended!! Especially for large parties! Went with a group of 20. We had the back room all to ourselves!! Which included our own bathroom and backyard space! It felt like a private party as we were able to get up and mingle with one another without bothering other diners. The food was excellent and the service was even better !!! Thank you for everything ISHMEL !!!“
“Everything we had was absolutely delicious and so beautifully presented. The birria torta was incredible. The chicken sandwich was crispy and juicy in all the right ways. I loved the seasonal cocktails as well. Can't wait to come back and try brunch!“
“Last night I had the ABSOLUTE BEST MEAL OF MY LIFE at this restaurant! Every bite was pure bliss! I would love to give specific recommendations, but I don't think you can go wrong here! By far and away, this is now my favorite restaurant in all of New York!“
“Very cute spot with really good coffee and service. Ecuadorian fried rice was delicious and hit the spot, the egg on top made the whole meal. Would strongly recommend, very well priced and good serving sizes. Not too many seats indoors but still worth a visit if you're in the mood for either coffee or good food.“
“I love the environment of this spot and the food it's truly great, they have the best preference for Latin food in Brooklyn, the help is astounding, and the server Nora Estrada takes my request and is truly kind, in the event that very much like Latin food this is an ideal spot for you.? ??“
“Laundromat Fulgurances is a culinary adventure playground. The rotating chefs bring a diverse range of flavors and techniques to the table, ensuring a one-of-a-kind dining experience every time. The service is warm and friendly, and the wine list offers something for everyone. This is a true gem of a restaurant!“
“I love to support my people but I've come from staten island two Saturday's in a row and have been turn away. Was told they weren't taking orders. Finally the 3rd Sat I ordered 4 empanadas de carne and two sodas, paid almost $25 only two find each empanadas had less then half in meat. The empanadas should have the meat falling out of them at the price we paying.. very disappointed..Sounda like your saying that you cook the empanadas with raw meat. I've seen my many family member make empanadas and the meat is put into the empandas already seasoned and cooked and only the shell is uncooked so that don't make sense too me.“
“I got there food right before the closing time and lemme tell you, it was SO SO GOOD!The flavors are amazing and the food's always piping hot and the portion was generous!I only discovered it through TooGoodToGo but now that I realized that this place is such a gem, I'd be coming back for more :) and help support local businesses.“
“Performed at the shade45 launch show for the punchline academy. Nice venue, dope vibes. Didn't eat here, just drinks.Parking: Can be tough to find street parking. We parked about 2 blocks away, got lucky and found a free spot because of the time and day of week“
“I came to NYC around a month ago and I was looking for a place like this one, where you can buy affordable, delicious and reasonably healthy food (having eaten too many burgers and sandwiches this month). The portion sizes are quite big, I barely managed to eat all of the meat and half of the rice. The price is similar to what you'd pay to buy a meal at McDonalds, so going to this place instead is a no-brainer. The corn bread was amazing! That being said, I am giving the atmosphere just 1 star because I had the worst time waiting inside. It was also so loud that I could barely hear the person who served me both times I was there. The staff was patient and friendly enough though. The other customers, not so much. In my country, when a place is crowded, you usually wait near the door until the line starts moving, which is what I did. Someone must have thought that I was trying to cut the line and literally whistled at me and pointed to a spot behind him like I was a dog. 5 years ago, I would've left never to return again, but I understand that this is not the fault of the staff, so I stayed and bought a delicious meal. It is advisable to avoid the lunch rush and other customers some of who lack basic manners.“
“I went here for my mom"s birthday and all of us enjoyed the food so much. The food was rich is flavor, hot, and super savory. The drinks were fantastic, they were able to substitute certain parts in drinks we wanted and didn't want, which was really nice of them as well. The service was really good too. Our waitress was really nice and really patient with us, she was extremely helpful, and we didn't feel rushed. I really recommend this place if you're looking for a calm and comfortable environment with delicious food and fast service.“
“I really enjoy getting breakfast here. Mary’s is such a neighborhood staple. I usually get the sausage, eggs, and grits (comes with toast) and always leave happy and full. Service is friendly and prices are fair. They recently renovated the small dining area which is nice to see as well.“
“The place was very warm, the manager was very friendly, very clean, and I think that's what we all look for when eating at a pollo.campero. They gave me some delicious empanadas ? It was my first time at this pollo Campero, it was very good, I was delighted with it. “
“I had my wedding reception here. We had a private room with bartender and servers. The service was amazing. The food was delicious .my party of 28 had an amazing time. Afterwards we went upstairs to the bar and enjoyed some more delicious drinks. The lighting was nice and low it fit the occasion. There was also a live entertainer that night. He played the guitar beautifully and sang songs that we danced to. This was a great night for my wife and myself.“
“Bogota Latin Bistro was a fantastic experience! The ajiaco and skirt steak bandeja were delicious, and the host, Maria, was incredibly friendly. They provided crayons and toys to keep my daughter entertained, and the music created a fun atmosphere. To top it all off, they surprised us with a delicious tres leche dessert. Highly recommend this restaurant!“
“This is a great spot to go after an event finishes at the Barclay's center. The DRINKS WAS STRONG And the HAPPY HOUR IS THE BEST ? . must try is the calamari, it is soooo good and smelled delicious. Comfortable environment for a diverse crowd. Will go again!!!!“
“Food tastes as if my grandmother was in their kitchen whipping up amazing food. I have yet to experience anything that wasn’t absolutely delicious. Ribs, pernil, Chicharrón, seafood, beans, soups, desserts, the list can go on. Make your way here, you won’t be disappointed!“
“Wife and I had dinner here to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. And we really enjoyed our meal and drinks. We started with the steamed pork buns, which we really enjoyed so much we devoured before I got a pic taken. The egg foo young was delicious, loaded with pork and vegetables. The gravy was very flavorful and not overly heavy compared to take out spots. The breaded shrimp was excellent as well, the shrimp fresh. And the pork fried rice was great, loaded well with pork and veggies and egg. The service was really quick and the staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very cozy, all the tables have flags of different latin countries which I found really cool. And I love the giant pilón by the counter. The drinks were really good, had the piña colada with rum and the Mrs a nice Chardonnay. The place was quiet which we enjoyed but saw a few folks doing takeout along with delivery workers from popular apps so that tells us the restaurant is very popular. Check it out, prices are very reasonable and the portions are great.“
“Been eating from this family run business for more than 35 years amd they've been selling their amazing food longer than that! I've introduced countless friends and whenever they're in town during the spring/summer months eating here is one of their first stops. Pupusas are what they're known for but everything they sell is top notch to include their drinks!!“
“I had the pleasure of stopping by this little gem. I ordered a chipotle chicken, beef and spinach.cheese... and chimichurrri sauce that was amazing!!! I was so shocked of the flavor that was in each and the empanada crust was perfectly flaky and crunchy, I can't wait to try them again.“
“The food here is hands down the best “Spanish” Dominican style food in Brooklyn!!! Everything is always fresh! Nice and hot! And free flavors will blow you away! The staff? Well the staff and service make you feel right at home. My favorite neighborhood spot. Try the steak and onions with rice and beans and a side salad or maybe even the Sancocho!! Honestly I can’t just choose one dish. They’re all delicious. Thank me later!!Parking: It’s street meter parking on the actual avenue … But you do get lucky and Side streets are free.Kid-friendliness: Yes it is.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it is.“
“A nice breakfast spot in an older building. Friendly staff with a variety of breakfast items. Today I enjoyed a roll with eggs and sausage with my coffee. They have a cooler with juices and other drinks. There are several tables up front by the grill as well as a seating area towards the back. Great place for an early morning bteakfast in DUMBO.Parking: There is some street parking nearby if you are here earlier in the day. The area gets packed with cars as the day goes on. There's a paid garage a block or so away.Wheelchair accessibility: It's an older building (1800s) with a large stone slab several inches thick/above the level of the sidewalk at the main entrance.“
“Best Dominican Food in all of Brooklyn! I’ve been going to Ari’s Pollo for years! I order from them every Friday night too!We often order the Pepper steak, Beef Stew, Steak w/ onions, Pork Chops, Rotisserie Chicken and Chicharrón de pollo- depending on what we’re in the mood for! I always get a few chicken empanadas too!“
“A true hidden gem in the neighborhood! Great happy hour till 8pm and they even brought out snacks for free for our group! Small intimate front space, and there was a large area in the back. I imagine this is a good spot for private group events.“
“I actually have to commend these folks for a different reason. I was out in a run and the need to 2 hit me really really hard. I wasn’t going to make it back to my apartment. After several classically inhuman New York refusals of no bathroom wing of if I bought something, they let me in my desperation. I bought a bottle of water and tipped heavily. Really just trying to point out that a few establishments on Knickerbacker are inhuman, and these folks are nice and reasonable. Order from them!“
“Very Delicious. I attended a Mix & Mingle event at Bklyn Commons and my Business Partners had the Beef and I had the Corn Empanada. We loved it and highly recommend for your future events. I didn’t even miss having meat cause the Corn was so delicious.“
“Let me start off by saying I am a Brooklyn/Coney Island native and have only recently discovered this hidden gem in my hometown! I now try to make it a weekly treat to myself during the summertime months! I absolutely love the quality, freshness, and flavors of all of their foods— especially their ceviche!Their ceviche is perfectly marinated in their homemade sauce blends and is accompanied by a fluffy side of white rice and limes. A full, satisfying and not greasy or expensive for the experience they deliverNot to mention, customer service is always so welcoming and prompt. After a couple of times, my order was remembered, down to the sauce :)Will continue patron until summer permits!“
“My favorite spanish food restaurant. Food is delicious, service is excellent, alcoholic drinks to die for, as soon as you walk in u are costeously greeted! We always go mid afternoon because we go with our little one but if u go late afternoon-night u will find the adult astmosphere u r looking for. Ppl say the restaurant is pricy but to me is worth it, the food quantity is great and delicious, can't order appetizers bc if i do i wont b able to finish my food. Overall go try it u wont regret. Esther is very nice and corteous, they all are but Esther is my #1 girl“
“This restaurant is always packed when I walk by. I finally decided to go inside for dinner and the food was fresh and delicious. I had the Mac and cheese with fried chicken and carrots and string peas. Delicious I went on a Saturday morning at 7am and got 2 large delicious oatmeal and cornmeal portions. Delicious The manger is super friendly and attentive. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. This is definitely a place you MUST go for delicious hot fresh meals breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.“
“The menu at El Sabor de la Esquina is a delightful tapestry of Mexican flavors, featuring a variety of dishes that cater to all preferences. Their tacos are a must-try, with tender and perfectly seasoned meats, fresh toppings, and homemade tortillas that add an extra layer of authenticity. The Carne Asada tacos, in particular, were a flavor explosion that left me craving more.Beyond tacos, their selection of enchiladas, burritos, and quesadillas are equally impressive, showcasing the rich diversity of Mexican cuisine. Each dish is crafted with care, using high-quality ingredients that shine through in every bite. The ambiance of El Sabor de la Esquina is lively and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a fun and memorable dining experience. The friendly staff adds to the warm atmosphere, providing attentive service that enhances the overall enjoyment of the meal.If you're searching for an exceptional Mexican culinary experience in New York, El Sabor de la Esquina is the place to be. With its mouthwatering dishes and true-to-Mexico flavors, it's a restaurant that will leave you with a satisfied palate and a desire to return for more.“
“This place is a neighborhood gem and i will be back, the food and drinks are well within the budget for how great it was, i had the grilled chicken quessadillas which i fully recommend, and 6 bbq wings with my beer, the food was over the top good, the quesadillas werent sloppy messes filled with cheese and skimp on the meat compared to other places like calexico, the wings were juicy and tender with a delicious sweet bbq sauce, and above all the food was plated beautifully on premium white china like a five star place which i was impressed with, watched the cowboys get murdered by the packers on two big screens, the only down side is that in winter the space is pretty limited with the patio closed but if its an intimate sort of setting you want for a date this place is more than perfect.“
“Incredibly tasty for how cheap it was. Really really happy to have found this place. Highly recommend the chimichurri steak sandwich, and the cubano was quality as well!Really can’t beat it, especially in this neighborhood. Ice cold corona!!!!!“
“Came in around 7 on a Friday night. Found parking s few blocks away. I’m not naive. I know it’s Brooklyn but the walk from the car to the spot was sketchy. Some kids aimed a colorful nerf/ water gun at me. I didn’t like that. But once inside all the riffraff of the block is forgotten. The lightning, the murals, and the decor have a really nice vibe. They had some music playing and the ambiance was chill. There was one other table occupied at the time and the space was nice and open with a spot in the back for live music I’m assuming. The service was good. Our waitress was attentive and helped us with suggestions. She was able to accommodate our little side requests and chances to the menu.I order the fish tacos and the corn on the cob. I had the sangria/margarita drink which was super overpriced but good. The fish tacos were good not out of this world but a good size with a good amount of fish. I added some hot sauce and it hit the spot. The corn was flavorful and tasty. It was cut up into 3 pieces. My friend ordered the fried fish entree with a seafood crème sauce and substituted the rice for beans. Along with the montaditos (one beef, one chicken, and one veggie) and the passion fruit fizz for drinks. It was a good portion of food. She had lots to take home. It had oysters and crawfish. The sauce was delicious. The drink was strong and tasty. This spot was good. In the area, I’d def come back. There wasn’t a happy hour for Friday but other days sound good.“
“This is a place that we have go to once a year due to it being hard to get to. But it has such amazing Hondurian food. It is hard to find food from my home country but this is one of those places that makes the journey worth it. During the Christmas time they have a time when you can order authentic hondurian tamales for Christmas. These tamales are very juicy tasty and filling. They cost $4 each and are worth getting due to the size. We always get at least 20 tamales for the Christmas season and the owner is happy to do our order. She is very friendly and has know us for many years even if we knly see her once a year. This time we sat down to order some food. I got a classic Pollo Chuco (Dirty Chicken) which is fried plantains, fried chicken, cabbage or cold slaw, a ketchup mayo combo sauce drizzled on top with pickled onions (which i asked without since i dont enjoy onions). The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the plantains were crispy and salty. I have to get this item again as it is delicious. The place was clean and empty as we went early. A little cramped but not bad.“
“Although I didn't no much of the food selection, there were plenty of options to choose from and mix and match... the best part all at an affordable price point. I left with two platers completely full with a mix of rice, veggies, meats all for less than $19“
“Cesar’s is hands down the best spot for lunch in the area. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. They do get quite busy at lunch. Bear in mind this is a small space and during lunch will be packed. Been coming here for the past 4+ years and has never disappointed.“
“Morra & the Cheff was amazing, from the time we walked in till the end. Morra made up her own drinks for us because my daughter & I are not drinkers but my niece is, when I tell you everything was great... We are coming from Suffolk county Long Island & will definitely come back 3/14/2024“
“The food here is great, fast, and affordable. They serve up hearty portions of succulent meats and stews. The server behind the counter is super friendly and quick. It's your typical buffet style Spanish/Dominican take away lunch counter with some tables if you're looking to sit down. On my last visit, I got an order of pernil with yellow rice and beans, a chicken leg, and plantains. The total came out to $18 and was enough to knock out 2 people with food left over. The pernil is tender and juicy and the drippings add so much flavor to the rice underneath. The chicken legs are literally fall-off-the-bone good. And the plantains were soft and lightly sweet.“
“I came here with the family on Saturday evening. I called ahead to notify the restaurant that we are a group of 9. I was told they would have my table set up for us, in which they did. When we arrived, they had just put chips and salsa on the table. For drinks, I ordered a pitcher of the strawberry margarita, and for the non alcoholic drinks, we ordered shirley temples. For appetizer, I went ahead and ordered my favorite as a previously stated in my first review of the guacamole in molcajete. I ordered the boneless chicken chunks as an appetizer. The guacamole is always on point. it's always delicious. The chicken chunks were completely gone within seconds. Everyone went in on those and raved how good they were. Moving on to our main entrees. We ordered breaded chicken cutlet, steak with onions, churrasco skirt steak, la paella marinera, La Placita, Chicken Fajitas, Shrimp in garlic sauce, shrimp in spicy devil sauce and a side order of tostones. For dessert, we ordered the vanilla flan and the fried ice cream. All the dishes that were ordered that night were delicious. Everyone loved their meals. The margarita was so good. Seems that their margarita pitchers are a hit. Everyone at the restaurant mainly had a margarita pitcher. Super great vibes in this place from staff to customers. Everyone in my group was enjoying their time, and so were all the customers dining in around us. I absolutely love how family-friendly this restaurant is. Overall, our night was amazing, full of laughs, great food, and conversations. FYI, the margaritas creep on you. I highly recommend you try this restaurant out! Can't wait to go back with the family. Thank you, Elora's, for the great service.“
“Went with my boyfriend last night. Food was very good, drinks also, our waitress Valentina was a sweetheart! The only thing I didn't like was that we felt rushed because it turns into a club we were told when we walked in. I feel they should not put tables on the dance floor than. Other than that it was reasonably priced and music was very good. I would go back but not sit at tables on the dance floor.“
“Good vibe, the Tlalpeno Rojo soup is brilliant. The hot figs are a treat to share. Loco corn is also good. Chicken sandwiches are not their specialty. Delicious volcanic hot sauce. Neat weird variety of hot chocolates you can grab to go for a park stroll on a cold day.“
