“When I tell you this ramen was so good I ate it in like 5 mins. I had the veg miso with the seasoned egg and I've never had such good ramen like omg it was amazing and everyone was so sweet and it's so chill here too u guys have to come here pls ???“
“I live the Vegan Shoyu Reman, the soup broth was good and full of umami, i will rate it the second best ramen in Canada after Ramen Danbo in Vancouver, the vegan gyoza was doing okay just not the best, i cant tell whats the stuffing inside, it was crispy but not texture can be improved. The waiter is not friendly when i want to use the washroom before seated, he said it is only for customer but he didnt ask whether i am going to order here, his judgmental attitude make my evaluation deduced 2 stars on the services.Overall is good and i will definitely come visit again when next time i visiting Toronto.“
“Very quick, friendly, and extremely delicious. We had a meal for two which came with two bowls of ramen, an order of gyoza, and two drinks. A lot of food for the price. If you’re in a bit of a rush for lunch but still want high quality food, come here.“
“We ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen Black and Shoyu Ramen, along with some gyoza, and I must say, they were absolutely delicious! Each bite was a burst of flavor, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The broth was rich and flavorful, exactly how I like it. The Tonkatsu Ramen Black had just the right amount of depth and richness, while the Shoyu Ramen had a delightful balance of savory and subtle sweetness. Both dishes exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely be coming back for more. The gyoza were also a hit, with a crispy exterior and juicy filling that complemented the ramen perfectly. The service was also prompt and friendly, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend!“
“Me and my family eat here often and we’ve found that the staff are very friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is nice and quiet, and the food is amazingVegetarian options: Their vegetarian dishes such as the veg original are very put together with delicious topping such as bamboo and onions“
“The ramen was delicious. Highly recommend the pork with an egg. My grandmother has a gluten allergy so it was nice to have the option of the potato noodles. Oddly I really liked their bathrooms as they were playing older Japanese music and there was mouthwash to use“
“Minimal, cozy atmosphere with enough seating space for parties of all sizes. Great portions, good quality ingredients. Plenty of menu options but not enough to overwhelm, plus the waitstaff are attentive and efficient. I’ve had great experiences here with family and friends.“
“Unreal Ramen Spot. So fresh and delicious on those colder days. Gyoza was fresh and light/the smaller portions didn’t fill you up before Ramen.Signature Tonkotsu was unreal but need to add the premium toppings! Add this to your list of must try Ramen spots in Toronto. Also staff was super friendly and excellent service!“
“An authentic ramen experience, you can watch the chefs prepare your dish if you’re seated near the front.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the menu, and it’s served in a different bowl than their chicken and pork ramens.“
“I ordered the vegetarian shoyu ramen and I found it to be one of the best vegetarian Ramen options in scarborough. It's hard to find good vegetarian options when it comes to Ramen so I definitely recommend if you're looking for a affordable ramen option in the gta.“
“It’s on the Michelin guide for a reason!Their ramen broth is perfectly balanced. Full flavour but not greasy. Portion size is perfect, you’ll have just enough room for one of their strawberry mochi. Also, the staff here are amazing, so considerate and friendly.“
“Visited this restaurant today and I must say their ramen is one of the absolute best. I had the Red Dragon reman and it was a bomb. if you like your soup loaded with chopped green chillies and a whole red chilli I highly recommend this soup. Truly a masterpiece.“
“Wonderful cozy ramen bar! The food and cocktails was amazing and our servers were great; they were very informative and passionate about the menu, and had us seated, and served promptly, and billed early, so we could make the show we were seeing on schedule. Will definitely be stopping by again when I'm in the area!“
“The service is great and quick. I really enjoy how you can either order from the waitress or you can order from the QR code on the tables. Their broth is very different from other noodle places. Broths are a both thicker. Overall very great tasting. Noodles have a great taste to them as well. They also have an allergy restriction options on their online ordering system which is unique.“
“I literally found this place randomly and now its my fav ramen spot everr! Ive tried some others like Crafty ramen, Kenzo and Kinton but still came back for this place bruh ?. Like literally the staff is super friendly and serve us with joy even though i don give tips sometimes ? ? the price is mostly the cheapest ive known, like about $15 per person without tips. The chicken karaage is juicy and crispy 10/10. The gyoza ive tried cuz my bf ate all of it ? but it looks nice and crisp. The ramen? gorgouse, the broth taste like real bone broth and not just sauce package.Would very suggest this place guysss!! I don have pictures rn but will update when i go visit again!!“
“This place has amazing veggie ramen that left my taste buds singing with delight. The soul-soothing broth was a symphony of rich flavors, without relying on any meat based ingredients. Highly recommended for anyone who is devout vegetarian or simply looking to explore new culinary horizons.“
“Sansotei Ramen provided a decent lunch experience during my visit with my boss. While I typically don't gravitate towards noodle dishes, I do enjoy sampling ramen on occasion. Opting for the Miso Black variety with a side of Zangi (Fried Chicken), I found the overall meal to be satisfactory, albeit lacking in standout elements. The broth at Sansotei Ramen boasted rich flavors, adding depth to the dish. However, it didn't quite leave a lasting impression, falling into the category of a standard ramen noodle offering. The Chashu, however, stood out as the highlight of the meal, impressing with its tender and flavorful texture. As for the Zangi, it failed to make a significant impact. While I appreciate a well-prepared fried chicken, this particular rendition didn't offer anything particularly noteworthy. That said, it served its purpose as a decent snack to enjoy alongside the ramen.Overall, Sansotei Ramen proved to be a convenient option for a quick lunch, offering efficient service and a satisfactory meal. While it may not have blown me away with its culinary prowess, it provided a solid option for a fast and filling midday meal.“
“My favourite hand pulled noodle place in the downtown core (ive tried alot of them). I like the taste, and the local/homey feel of the restaurant personally. The staff are a little innatentive, and dont refill my glass of water at all (which is very small) unless i flag them down. And tables are also a little cramped. To be honest, if youre looking for a place to have a fine dining experience, or a place to impress friends this is not the right spot at all. However, If youre looking for a quiet local joint to have some noodles in peace, this place is better than most. Also portions are good and prices are fair.“
“Just saw that this place is closing?! What a shame, this is the best korean hot dog place in Toronto! I don't like to name other businesses in reviews but this place is thousands of times better than Chungchun!!! I came here with my friends so many times over the years, and we're on the photo wall too ? Thank you for many years of amazing food and memories, I'll never forget you K-Seoul Hot Dog!!!!“
“Great appetizers, and delicious food. One of the best ramen you can eat.Parking: There is plenty of street parking. There is also a parking lot next to it for paid parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access is easy due to the fact that the restaurant is on the same level as walking.“
“Me and my family are here from out of state and we were looking for a place to feast and chill after exploring the royal ontario museum, and WOW. The place is super cute, inside and out. I was initially nervous because Im a bit of a picky eater but the noodles here are next level. Its almost as if they soak the noodles in broth and it makes them so flavorful. They can easily edit and customize meals per request. I personally recommend the Beef Udon and the pork Gyoza (so good). The service is quick and the servers are very kind and straight forward. Big shoutout to our amazingly friendly server, Hina!Peep the pic where i left the plate clean lol“
“One of my favorite ramen spots in the city. Haven't been failed yet on any if the items.BIG TIP: If you're coming on the busy nights at the end of the week then book a place in line ahead of time. I've on more than one occasion waited about an hour to get in with my girlfriend.“
“A fine set of ramen selections, Ajisen Ramen will satisfy your Asian soup craving. Service was quick and servers were polite. The place is small but understandable given its location in Toronto’s Chinatown. Only drawback is that the washrooms could be a bit more clean and organized. Overall, this place is favoured and greatly recommended.“
“Our experience at Ajisen Ramen was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance exuded an inviting charm, reminiscent of an authentic ramen spot.Service at Ajisen Ramen was exemplary, with our server displaying patience and attentiveness as he took our orders, accommodating substitutions without hesitation. We tried an array of dishes including different ramen variations, pork katsu with spicy miso soup, pork katsu with original soup, Tom Yum soup with rice and assorted toppings, soft shell crab bun, ebi (shrimp) bun, tofu fry, potato croquettes and kaarage. The food itself exceeded expectations, with each dish showcasing rich flavors and generous portions. The broth, in particular, stood out for its depth and robustness, while the flavored egg added a delightful touch to the ramen experience. While the soft shell crab lacked freshness and had a slight fishy flavor, the ebi bun was a highlight, though we wished for more than just one shrimp. With a menu boasting a plethora of options, our only dilemma was deciding what to try next. While adding appetizers alongside ramen can make the bill slightly pricey, opting for ramen and appetizer combos can be a savvy choice. In conclusion, Ajisen Ramen left us eager for more, with its delectable offerings and inviting atmosphere. With its stellar service and flavorful dishes, it's a destination worth revisiting time and time again.“
“Best ramen in Toronto. I think I cried when I ate it because it reminded me of Japan so much. Thick twisty noodles just like in Japan. You won't regret coming here. Ikkousha is amazing but kyouka's kind of ramen is far more ubiquitous in JapanBut you can probably skip the donburis. Bring back your mazemen!!“
“the noodles were hand made in the restaurant! you can see the chef kneading and tossing it. the portion was massive for a great price and great tasting noodles and soup! the atmosphere was very authentic:) would definitely recommend coming here for a bowl!“
“Great experience but i’ve tried the one in hamilton and it tasted fresher and they put more effort into the presentation. I’m not sure what was wrong but the broth had an odd taste, generally, it was a great experience, just maybe that was a one off situation but Kenzo has the best ramen out here HANDS DOWNDietary restrictions: Halal friendly“
“A very 'Kanpai' experience. The perfect bowl to cheer you up: creamy, spicy, and delicious! This location is relatively new, which offers a very pristine atmosphere. The service was on point. I ordered the spicy Tan Tan chicken with Sake as it was raining, and I needed that boost to let go of my blues. It was BOMB DIGGITY! :)I definitely recommend especially on those rainy and cold days.Kanpai!!!“
“This grab-and-go Japanese eatery offers top-notch food with high-quality ingredients. Every dish is bursting with flavor thanks to their delicious and well-crafted sauces. The best part? It's all reasonably priced and served up with lightning-fast efficiency. If you're looking for a quick and satisfying Japanese meal, this place is a definite winner!“
“I don't tend to leave food reviews. I'm breaking that habit for this. I'm not from Toronto and I used to think that the ramen I had access to was pretty great. I'm ruined for that other ramen now. I got a bowl of tonkatsu ramen, served in a paper bowl with a plastic spoon and it is quite possibly the best ramen I've ever had. The noodles were fresh and tender, the egg was runny but the yolk didn't completely dissolve into the broth, and the pork was melt in your mouth. Both employees were extremely respectful and friendly, the place was clean and bright, and it definitely brightened a stressful trip during a pandemic that had shut down most of the food court this place is located in.“
“Delicious Katsu Sandos and probably some of the best pork gyozas I’ve ever had. The nori ranch and onion rings are pretty memorable as well. My wife and I had two sandos with sides and an appetizer and it came to 50 bucks so fairly affordable too. All in all a great addition to easy end Chinatown. We will be back!Parking: Green p around the corner on Gerrard by the stone gate.“
“When I say I want ramen, this place is what I mean. Hands down the most flavorful bowl of ramen I’ve ever had. And not just the pork I mean the broth too which many places fail to do so!! Gyozas were also amazing and waiter and chefs were so friendly and welcoming.“
“This place was soo cute! I had their vegetarian ramen which had the most unique flavour! With the heavy cream, the dish can get quite heavy overall so be prepared to be full and satisfied after this dish. The shop was so cute too and the service was great. I’ll be coming here again for sure.“
“The ramen at Buta-Nibo is the first of its kind I've had in Toronto. First, they are very large portions. Interestingly, it's not from a lot of broth, it's from the hefty portion of noodles and bean sprouts. There is a lot, and I enjoyed it.The ordering system is a little odd, because it takes away from the service aspect. You get sat, then you pull up the QR code on your phone, then you order, but the whole time a server is kind of guiding you through and walking away. You should just take someone's order and speed it up.The flavour of the broth was slightly mild considering you have the option of mild, medium or full flavour, and I chose full. I wouldn't put it in my top 5 ramen in Toronto (Konjiki, Isshin, Santouka, Sansotei and Raijin) but I will still return, as for $18, it's a great deal - it might just replace my frequenting of Kinton....maybe.“
“Pretty much the only place that makes creamy milky chicken broth in the Toronto dt area. Not very common to see this type of broth but I enjoyed eating this so much. Very creamy and delicious. What I usually get is the signature ramen or the one with the truffle sauce on top. You won't regret coming. Give urself a try!“
“One of my favorite ramen in the city. Bless their hearts for trying to make tsukumen but it is a fry cry from real tsukumen (think Rokurinsha in Tokyo). Not real tsukumen noodles imoRegardless, a fantastic place to end a night of drinking in Little Italy“
“The Tonkotsu ramen and Zangi chicken were all good and they gave a decent amount of food. The staffs were very nice and courteous. I just hope next time they would be more mindful with the dishes they used to serve customers. The bowl they gave me for the chicken was chipped.“
“Martin's kitchen does it in spades. My husband and I went for dinner for the second time as the first time we went with friends and truly enjoyed the experience. So cozy with the wood burning stoves, wonderful ambiance and the staff are so kind and inviting. We had the drill this time, the flavours were incredible but when the dessert came out, it was a show stopper... I stopped Sheila in her tracks (I was aware she is the master behind the creations of desserts) and politely informed her if she wasn't married, I would marry her....it was that good!!!! Then we had a paella to take out for lunch the next day which was sooo delicious and heart warming. Congrats Martin's Kitchen, you and your staff know how to do it well. Happy Holidays!!!“
“New to the area & found this great restaurant just around the corner. Absolutely amazing! I am always on the lookout for restaurants serving fresh, tasty ingredients for great priced meals… Crafty Ramen is our new favourite place to go ?! We ordered takeout & choose from the 2 can dine special. 2 Ramen dishes & 2 appetizers were the perfect size for my husband & I. This is the kind of food that soothes the Soul… definitely comfort food for any reason. Absolutely love Crafty Ramen & will be back often! For times that I want Ramen but cannot get myself to the restaurant, I found that Crafty Ramen sells their Ramen in stores. I have been to downtown Longos 3x in the last 2 weeks for: 1) tofu/vegan ramen, 2) pork ramen & 3) chicken ramen. All very different & all very delicious!Ramen at Crafty Ramen is not a noodle soup, it is a wonderful & pleasing meal ?! Check them out, you won’t be disappointed.“
“Stepping inside, I was instantly transported to a local Japanese ramen shop. The authentic interior, charming decor, and friendly staff's demeanor brought Japan to life. Ordering my ramen was a breeze thanks to the intuitive customization options. My miso ramen was rich and flavorful, while the "Got Fire" lived up to its name, packing a powerful punch for spice lovers. The juicy gyoza and refreshing green tea perfectly complemented the meal, making it a truly enjoyable experience.“
“My favourite ramen place and I’m so glad that they’ve survived through COVID and various constructions around the area. The seating arrangement is definitely not the best as you will be sat among everyone. They might as well as make it bench or shared seating as the constant shuffling of the tables is probably the only negative here. The service is not top tier where you do have to ask for water and bill as they servers are not really watching the tables but the food never disappoints. I recommend their Kara miso ramen and if you are hungry, get the large with more noodles in them.“
“The restaurant was busy but the staff was hustling to serve everyone. The spicy udon was delicious but the chicken was dry and flavorless. My guest had the shrimp spicy udon which was delicious. The boa buns were overflowing with meat and very tasty.“
“I liked the food. The menu does a fairly good job of warning what may be in different orders.I came to eat soft things here ( I have braces). I had difficulty eating the egg noodle vege ramen. I'll try the kale noodle instead next time. The temperature of the ramen was too much for my tooth sensitivity. It would be nice if a smaller portion was offered ( I left two 3rds of my ramen uneaten even though it was enjoyable)I'll likely try it again after I get the braces out, or if I do take out.Vegetarian options: Limited variety: There was really just one vegetarian ramen option (that you would want to augment with side dishes / extra toppings). Tastes good.“
“Had the Spicy Tan Tan ramen. Broth was rich and slightly spicy. Ramen egg and noodle was cooked perfectly. Have tried their other locations before and quality is consistent here as well.Love the fact they’re inside a mall which is very convenient for shoppers, but it can be tough to find a spot to sit especially during busy hours (carrying a tray with a bowl of noodle soup can be slightly dangerous / inconvenient)!“
“Good ambience in the restaurant with the modern industrial decor. They currently have a $25 combo which includes ramen, a side dish and drink. The portions are filling and worth it!Noodles are OK, nothing mindblowing. The Ninniku Shoyu was a bit lacking in flavor although very spicy. The Yuzu Tsuyu tsukemen was tasty but noodles were stuck and hard to dip - overall sauce tasted more Chinese than Japanese.“
“We got Tonkotsu, Black Tonkotsu and Black Miso.I ate the Tonkotsu, it was tasty (not the best I had but good overall). The person who got Black Tonkotsu said that it was very too salty but tasty anyway. The person who got Black Miso said it was really tasty, though the sweet mushroom was a strange experience for them. The servers were really nice, kind, polite and overall pleasant to interact with.Food was ready quickly which is always a plus. We will definitely come again.“
“I hit up this place yesterday after a concert. I had Har gow, Pan Fried shrimp and chives Dumplings, Deep Fried Squid Tentacles, and Veg Spring Rolls. The veg spring rolls were massive and kinda greasy inside, but those har gow and deep-fried squid tentacles stole the show. They were delicious!Since it was late at night, there were only a handful of other customers, so the service was quick and efficient.“
“Good restaurant. Sansotei has consistently good tasting ramen at the typical ramen price. I always think ramen shops portion sizes are way to small so I'll once again echo that opinion. In the image you can see we ordered extra noodles ($2 CAD each) which were of acceptable size.Flavours are nice. I got the Shiro (I think?) And it tastes flavourful without being too heavy on the msg taste. The bamboo shoots are fantastic and you get a nice egg too.I am always a fan of ramen so of course I'll keep on getting sucked into eating more. However, objectively speaking I'll still recommend this location.Environment was nice too. Small shop area but well furnished throughout.“
“Food/sauce is very flavorful, atmosphere is great and you can watch him making the noodles. What’s not to like?? Oh yeah and the cat robot that delivered our appetizers was awesome! We’re here at noon on a Monday and I can’t believe this place isn’t packed; with this delicious food it should be. We’re on vacation but I wish they had one in Charleston! Two thumbs way up!!“
“The Pork Original is as great as it has always been - amazing consistency over the years and across different locations. The Gekikara Chili is seasonal special for spicy lovers - great taste and definitely spicy that not everyone can handle.“
