“I hail from Seattle, home to some great Pho and the weather dictates one eats it quite often so I've had my fair share. But this pho spot blows all of them away. The menu is simple but the flavors are complex, balances and absolutely delicious. The broth is salty, meaty, and umami. The meat is tender and the noodlea are fresh. This is a must try if you're looking for a bowl of noodle on the next cold day.“
“What a gem! The absolute best bahn mi in Austin! Plus they have espresso/coffee drinks now! And they give you a free cup of soup while you wait. Their new renovations also improved the atmosphere in a big way.The owner makes her own bread everyday, in addition to the entire pastry case (don’t leave without a dessert)!!I love going here for business meetings or when I’m meeting up with friends for lunch. Nobody I’ve taken here ever goes there and leaves unimpressed.I love the pork belly bahn mi & her sesame sweet bread. The owner always recognizes me when I come in & memorized my order. :)“
“The food is very good, the freshness of all the vegetables is felt in every bite you eat. The coconut is fresh and sweet, I recommend everything. And in service of the best, very attentive at every moment, enjoy everything⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I’m not a big crybaby like Brian Townley, who complained about the wait.. Mr. Jimmy is an amazing person and the best Vietnamese chef in town! I just wished he had more staff but he said it’s been hard to hire good help. B’s kitchen is amazing- authentic and serves delicious Vietnamese food. Best banh mi in town!!“
“It's named something else now. It's the fresh bowl. I was very disappointed. Because they didn't give us very much food at all. In fact out of all the Asian restaurants I've eaten at. This restaurant gave us the least of amount of food and had the highest prices. We really were disappointed.“
“It's a very small place and very popular so be ready to wait. The pho was good but a little bland. The Bánh mì was very tasty and seasoned well and the bread was fresh and crunchy. Their spring rolls were very good with a great flavor.“
“After I tried Pho at Sip Pho, I seriously do not want to go anywhere else to have my bowl of Pho anymore because Pho here is absolutely phenomenal, extremely delicious and flavorful, I am not even kidding. I ordered the rare steak pho and the meat is thick but so tender and moist. My friend ordered short rib Pho and the bowl is gigantic!? He cannot even finished it… I know for sure that I will have to come back here again and many more times? Sip Pho is a MUST TRY you all! Highly recommend!“
“We had a fantastic experience working with Jenn and the Open House team! As first time homebuyers, we were very overwhelmed by the entire process -- Jenn helped us each step of the way, educating us on what to look for when going into potential homes and advising us each step of the way from the offer to close process. She was an absolute pleasure to work with -- incredibly professional and so kind; we could not imagine a better realtor in helping us find a home!We would highly recommend Jenn and Open House to anyone looking to buy in the Austin real estate market. Thanks so much again!“
“Delicious and plenty of vegan options in a Vietnamese style. Located in the back of the buildings, it was being run by the looks of two people. Food was delicious and the wait wasn't long. Would come again!Dietary restrictions: Vegan as well“
“The service was friendly, attentive, and helpful. We got the durian sugar cane drink that was so good that we ordered another to go. Banh mi and crab glass noodles were good. They gave us little coconut almond cookies for dessert. We also ordered the coffee and pandan jello and it was soooo worth it!“
“My mom and I came to Austin to visit my little sister who has been living here for a couple of years. It’s our first night and we were deciding on what to eat for dinner and being Filipino - we were looking for a home cooked meal and Kapatad definitely satisfied that! When we came we didn’t realize they were closing 30 mins earlier than usual because it was Sunday. My family ordered quickly but we did not feel rushed at all because the staff were very accommodating and welcoming to have us for dinner. My mom talked to the owner who took the time to talk to her for a little bit even though he had his hands full trying to clean. Our server was also seemed very kind! The food was very delicious and gave us a taste of home. Overall, we definitely felt the Filipino hospitality here and cannot recommend it anymore!“
“I recently moved into the area a few months ago and found this place not to far from my house. They do trivia every Thursday and it has become our households biweekly activity. I absolutely enjoy the atmosphere and how delicious all of their food is. The view tex martini is my number one order and well worth the price. I am looking forward to their new menu coming out in a few days and hope they don't get rid of the viet tex martini.“
“I label this as “Austin’s last local spots” not overly trendy or done up with fair prices and good food. Super typical Asian place with big menu and not overly bothersome waitstaff.Food comes out quick, huge portions, good prices. Solid and delicious food every time I come here. This isn’t a trendy aesthetic spot, it’s a clearly well loved local spot. I’ll continue coming here for this amazing pho.“
“Step into a world of tantalizing flavors and aromatic spices at this hidden gem of an Asian food restaurant. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that sets the stage for a culinary journey like no other. The menu at this 888 Pan Asian eatery is a delightful fusion of traditional recipes and modern twists, offering a wide variety of dishes to satisfy every palate. From savory stir-fries to fragrant curries, each dish is expertly crafted to showcase the vibrant flavors of Asian cuisine. One standout dish that stole the show is the Pineapple Fried Rice and the orange chicken. The perfectly crispy battered chicken is coated in a tangy and sweet orange glaze that is both indulgent and addictive. Each bite is a symphony of textures and flavors that will leave you craving more. Another must-try is their General Tso's, a work of art that tantalizes both the eyes and the taste buds. The service is impeccable, with attentive staff who are knowledgeable and fast. Whether you're a novice to Asian cuisine or a seasoned foodie, the staff is dedicated to ensuring that your meal is nothing short of extraordinary. Our food was out in less than 10 minutes, and the portions are ridiculous generous for a $14 dish. Whether you're craving bold flavors or seeking a comforting meal, this 888 Pan Asian food restaurant is sure to exceed your expectations and leave you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal.“
“this place is wonderful for take out! I got the Thai green milk tea & the flavor was delicious! For entrees they have different options (bahn mi/ bao/ taco/ noodle(?)) and you can choose your protein. So plenty of options for everyone.I got the Tofu Bahn mi and it was soo good! If the bread was a lottle crispier I would say the best in town. they also have an egg option (if you eat them). Also a few of the appetizers were vegetarian!Vegetarian options: They have 3 different options (bahn mi/ bao/ taco) and you can choose your protein. I got the Tofu Bahn mi and was soo good! If the bread was a lottle crispier I would say the best in town. they also have an egg option (if you eat them). Also a few of the appetizers were vegetarian!Parking: The parking lot is shared with Rosale minimart, so it can be a little bit packed and difficult to find parking.Kid-friendliness: The seating is in a parking lot, and it is just a couple of benches. It's fine for a quick meal, but it isn't great for child safety/long-term entertainment.“
“It may look like a random restaurant at a pit stop, but Saigon is our favorite Asian joint in the Austin area. We make a 30 minute trip just for it.It's small, family run and the food is just delicious.Steamed pork dumplings are so perfectly airy and balanced it's ridiculous.Owners are sweet and kind and put a lot of effort to assure you enjoy your meal.“
“I can't decide which wad better, the food or the service. We were feeling a bit Phoish and attempted to oder online but unfortunately there seems to be a technical issue and the menu is askew. I attached pictures of it so that you dont have the same problem.(YOUR welcome) If you are feeling like Pho you need not look any further. PUT DOWN YOUR MOUSE OR PHONE AND GET YOUR BOTTEM OVER THERE ASAP. The food is delish and the service feels like grandma's house. After tonight my family is officially becoming regulars at this little gem ? ✨️ ?“
“Most people think of pho or banh mi for Vietnamese food. I'm a fanatic for bun, and the bun here is so much better than I've had in any other Vietnamese restaurant so far. It's not even close. I ordered the bun with garlic butter prawns (something I haven't seen as an option for bun anywhere else) and I added egg rolls. The variety and quantity of added veggies (cucumber, carrots, sprouts, mint, radishes) is unmatched by other restaurants I've tried so far.“
“This establishment has excellent Vietnamese noodles, tofu pudding dessert, soy milk, and ready to eat dishes. This is a self service restaurant. Order at the counter and find a seat in one of the handful of tables. Pick up the food from the counter.Dining atmosphere is completely absent. The place is very small and more suitable for takeouts than dining in. Environment is cluttered with boxes and restaurant supplies that don’t belong in a dining room.“
“This is my favorite food truck in all of Austin. I always get the tofu banh mi and the summer rolls. It is so flavorful and delicious I can barely believe it! It takes me right back to my Vietnam trip from 2018, so many wonderful memories. I am moving out of Austin tomorrow and needed to right a raving review about this food truck that I will miss so much!“
“The tastiest and most wholesome Vietnamese food I’ve had in Austin. I always start with the tofu spring rolls. The fried rice and lemongrass tofu are my favorite dishes. One lovely aspect of visiting here is being greeted by the owner Sinh, a sincerely good man that cares about putting out positive vibes and having heartfelt conversations. I’m grateful ?Parking: There’s never been a shortage of spots.“
“Pho with us was a great discovery and the food was great. My only complaint was the mayo (an excessive amount!) on the pork belly Banh Mi and a lack of hoisin sauce and no patè on it. In the future, I’ll order Oder it with no mayo. Was still a great meal.“
“To me, this is the absolute best of Vietnamese cuisine. Ever since they closed their 183 location, we'd been on the hunt for another Vietnamese restaurant that could match it and failed many, many times. They are back and even better now! Their vermicelli bowls are second to none! We get the grilled pork with Vietnamese imperial rolls almost every time as it's so good, healthy, and the portion size is amazingly big. I've added a new staple to it and just can't decide between the two sometimes, so I'll just get both and take some home: the Sunflower Prawns. These are enormous tiger prawns and come on a bed of garlic noodles that surprised us in how amazing it is. The noodles are so good, I wish they were their own menu item. I'd order a side of them every time. Needless to say, we'll be coming back often.Hint: the charbroiled pork on the vermicelli bowl is great, but sometimes they don't char it at all. Mention to the waiter that you want extra char on it if you like that.“
“I've come to this place several times since they were remodeled a couple of years ago and it never disappoints. The pho broth is really flavorful and comes with quality meats and veggies. The bahn mis are tasty and are easily two meals for myself. This time, I decided to try something different. I got the Spicy Noodle Soup which was amaaaazing. The broth is more salty and fatty as opposed to the herbal, clear pho broth. It also comes with a big beef rib which was a surprise. It is a perfect rainy day dish that I look forward to having again in the future.“
“This restaurant is a family favorite. We love the spring rolls with the generous portions and that special crunchy stick inside. My personal favorite is the lemon grass tofu, Mom likes the grilled shrimp. We always order the green beans XO for the table. So delicious. Some very thoughtful vegan entrees include Spicy Vegan Hue style Vietnamese noodle soup and the Vegan 512 Vermicelli. Of course many dishes can also be made without meat, but it's nice to have a vegetable based broth option. They also have a vegan option for fish sauce if you so desire. The portions are generous. It's a great place for takeout. The prices are reasonable. What's not to love?“
“Coming from Vietnamese background, I can assure you this spot is definitely top tier when it comes to authentic Vietnamese taste. Food came out maybe 5-10 mins and let me tell you I was right back in my grandmas kitchen eating her banh mi. Service was swift and the worker is very sweet and friendly.“
“Super fast, friendly, delicious, and it is like they are choreographed when I come in. They know just where I prefer to sit, that I need a fork for my pho noodles, extra bean sprouts/cilantro/thai basil, ice water, a bag when I'm done. They notice if I am not there once a week, and take their time getting to know me. They make people feel special, and are always warm and welcoming. It has been a joy getting to know Thach, Nick, Hal, and An.“
“It's so delicious, everyone. Remember to buy sour soup with braised fish and stir-fried vegetables. It's delicious. Went in to try it for the first time and was so lucky to buy delicious food. Finally bought it home 3 hours ago for dinner. In Houston, I haven't seen any place that can cook this well“
“Great neighborhood spot! Love all the soups and service here! I also enjoy the matcha drinks :) Friendly suggestion, The last few times I ordered the vegan pho, the broccoli tasted like soggy frozen broccoli. I know it may costs more, but fresh vegetables make a big difference. Hope you can consider this ?? “
“Really enjoyed my bowl of pho with steak and brisket. Broth seemed legit. Noodles were in a clump so had to get them separated and let them soften more, which I've not previously had to do with pho. Customize with however much basil, jalapenos, bean sprouts, cilantro, hoisin and chili sauce to get the flavor profile you like. So good! My husband enjoyed his banh mi as well. We shared a bowl of steamed broccoli and carrots on the side and tossed those with his extra sauce to flavor them. We'll be back!“
“I love it here ! Cute corner shop that has lots of yummy vegetarian/vegan options as well. Local spot that's conveniently located; one of my new favorites !Vegetarian options: Labeled vegetarian section, appetizers available as well.Dietary restrictions: Good for pescetarians, vegetarians, vegans, etc.Kid-friendliness: Good food for the whole family!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp access and open table seating“
“This place is so bomb. Best Viet restaurant I have had in Austin. The Broken Rice Combo - Com Tam Suon Bi Cha (bottom) with Pork is DELICIOUS. I love all the variety on the plate and mixing them all into a perfect bite. The sides of pickled jalapenos, chili sauce, chili oil and pickled garlic are perfect additions to the meal as well. The Banh Mi Chao with Xiu Mai (top) was crazyyy. So good, and each item in the skillet is so delicious with the bread.“
“5 stars all the way. Since the opening of the establishment my family and I have been coming here and have never been disappointed. The selection of Boba teas is broad. Family favorites among our household would have to be pork Bahn Mi, tofu bao buns and rice paper rolls. As far as Boba teas to recommend it would be, not necessarily in this order, matcha green Thai tea, taro tea and last but certainly not least the classic juggernaut, Thai tea with Boba. Hallelujah and amen.Vegetarian options: Tofu Bahn Mi, Tofu Bao Buns, etc.“
“We have visited Wok on Fire several times. Always enjoyable. We had our last meal delivered. I had a busy day besides having family coming for dinner. I was able make the order early to be delivered at dinner time. The food arrived on time, freshly cooked and steaming hot. The potions are generous. But most important...the food is delicious!“
“I’ve been to and worked with a lot of Vietnamese restaurants there Ph’o broth is done right I ordered the viet beef stew (Bo Kho) the broth was very flavorful and delicious I highly recommend trying the Bo Kho and everything here is very reasonably priced the server was very professional for this kind of establishment as well, overall I am pleased with coming here for the first time and will be back again.Cheers,Executive Chef Jimmy ??“
“Great bahn mi - reasonable sizes, pretty well filled and freshly prepared at a good price point! I’ve had 5 or 6 different options and really like the house special and pork roll. They no longer take credit card, but do take cash and Venmo.“
“One of the best Pho in Texas, the vegetarian pho is also super good. This place is a little hidden gem, clean and simple. The servers are super friendly and attentive with our needs having a small toddler. I super recommend this place. The Pho broth is super rich, and so is the vegetarian broth. I highly recommend this place, they give you good portions at affordable prices, and the Vietnamese lemon roast beef is super good. I recommend the place. ????“
“We’re in love with this place. Authentic, in the heart of down town. My kid absolutely loves the broth and noodles lol. She’s so picky but goes nuts for the Pho. And the best part is, it doesn’t close on Thursdays like some other places….“
“I have eaten here probably 20 times even though I live 4 hours from here. I make a special stop off of I37 and try to time Austin for when I will be hungry. I get the chicken Banh Mi usually although sometimes Grilled Beef. It is always excellent. The sandwich is the perfect size. If I ate like this every day I would lose a little weight, but only very slowly. Its a great lunch or dinner. A child of mine would eat it for breakfast. Given the prices of less than $7 it is also one of the more economical places. I have only had the Banh Mi.“
“I love Tam and hope it never goes away. I've been dozens of times and always get the banh mi (#14). I see people eating other dishes that look great, but I can't bring myself to try anything but the banh mi because it's exactly what I want. It's always a highlight of my week to see Art behind the counter.“
“Awesome restaurant! The staff is so incredibly kind and friendly, they loveto chat are are clearly passionate about cooking. I got the Orange Chicken and I have to say their portions are incredible for the price, to the point that I barely finished half and am looking forward to delicious leftover.100% would recommend, the surrounding businesses are questionable but this place is a diamond in the rough!!“
“Family owned and operated. Very welcoming and enjoyed talking with them. Excellent service AND they prepared my meal separately because I have a food allergy. Too bad they will be closing in October 2024, but they deserve to enjoy their retirement after 35 years of business!!Dietary restrictions: See my previous comments. They were very gracious and accommodating upon learning about my food allergy.“
“Absolutely my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in west campus. Everything on their menu is amazing and affordable. The food comes out so fast and they care about the student community. It’s so hard to get fresh, healthy food as a college student but this place has it! Please get the pho and the banh mi!Vegetarian options: Lots of tofu!“
“we just stopped because another restaurant wait was too long and let me tell you we were happy we found this spot! the food was fantastic the service was incredible and the whole place is just so pretty and clean!thank you so much we will come back again“
“Loved their Pho! There are plenty of options on how to customize your Pho for anyone craving a specific blend. We had our food within minutes of ordering. You could tell it was a local favorite by how people came and went. I just wished their restrooms were a bit cleaner and stocked.Parking: The parking lot for the strip has narrow lanes. I would recommend parking in a spot that has open spaces next to your car and hope no one parks next to you. Check your car for any dings/dents before leaving if someone does park next to you or vice-versa.“
“BY FAR my favorite restaurant for pho!! A little expensive sometimes but always worth it! I have been going here for about 3 years now and they do not fail me ever! There was one recent hiccup and I feel bad for how I reacted but I still really love this place and still have their shirt from 3 years ago (I dont think they sell them anymore sadly). I will definitely stay loyal to them for special occasion Pho though!Parking: Parking is usually pretty open honestly, I havent gone on a Friday night in a long time but the dinner hour on Fridays and Saturdays are usually the busiest I remember!“
“I made a larger order today for a staff meeting. Ordered 15 dishes and it was done in 35 minutes. Labeled for each staff member correctly and the orders were perfect. Food is great quality, delicious, not overcooked and great service as well. #101 is my favorite dish.“
“I have never been in, so can't speak to anything but the quality of the food and how well they pack it for delivery. I love the pho broth so much that I get it every time, no matter what else I get. They also have fantastic appetizers and the vermicelli I've had was really good. The meat is grilled well and not super salty, but flavorful.“
“THE FOOD IS AMAZING.! My husband and I have been coming here for years.! The owners are very friendly and always know what we’re going to get before we can even sit down. Come check them out and I PROMISE YOU WONT REGRET IT.! Worth 5 stars for sure.!!!“
“Overall the food is good for the price! Great place to come w groups. They don’t take reservations but they do have a waiting list and we only had to wait 20 mins which wasn’t bad. The live music is a bit loud but gives the atmosphere a nice touch. The cuisine was good, the Pad See Ew with beef was the best thing we ate.“
