“While visiting Disneyland, I searched for and visited a Vietnamese restaurant.Located next to a shopping mall with Korean restaurants, about 20 minutes away by car.Parking is convenient and very friendly. The food prices are reasonable and above all, the portions are very large.I ordered large and had a lot left over, but ordering regular would still be enough.I recommend the rib rice noodles.Be careful because mix includes crucibles and parts. The taste of the rice noodles is pretty good, but the sweetness is quite strong, perhaps because of the American style. It would be nice to eat it once in a while when you get tired of American food. You can choose between thin and thick noodles.“
“I came here after visiting another ginko katsu in diamond bar because it was so good when I had it there. I was a little disappointed with the bento boxes, they weren't as good. the other location came with more side dishes+ pickled veggies. while it's probably really good standalone, i was kind of disappointed that it wasn't up to the same level as the other location :( however the atmosphere and staff is perfect!!“
“Came here on a whim on Saturday night, so glad it was not crowded and we were seated immediately. They have pictures of plates they serve on tv screens so it's very nice to see what you may be ordering. We ordered egg, filet mignon and meatball on a sizzling plate with baguette and a bo luc lac with garlic noodle and it was delicious! Very affordable prices. Fresh made and not too sweet drinks too, I recommend the penny worth and mung bean drink! Nice Vietnamese traditional restaurant vibes.“
“The service was great! I was looking for a sushi spot near by and it was one I wanted to try because of the variety of sushi options! I had the Andy's roll and the Hot Summer Roll. Both were good, not super memorable nor do I feel like running back but they do have a good lunch option if you're looking for something good, quick and affordable! Overall good but not on my top sushi spots. I will end by saying what I did love those was huge the portions were I think for the rolls I got you definitely get a generous amount of protein!“
“I was surprised to see a Sichuan restaurant in Garden Grove of all places. Heck, it might even be the only one in the city. Food was very good and the service was even better. The waiter/cashier definitely deserves a mention for how attentive he was. Overall, it's comparable to Rowland Heights/Irvine places.“
“After visiting Da Vien for Vietnamese style teas and coffee our appetite was stirring for some Thai food.We wanted to go to another Thai Restaurant down Garden Grove Blvd, however the spot was too small and too packed. We took a little drive further down and found Thai Avenue. The restaurant looked pretty inviting even during lunch hour on a Sunday.Ordered their fish cake appetizer for starters and they were absolutely delicious even though Mom didn't think they would be good for the first try.Next 2 orders of Pad Thai, Pah Kee Mao, and I got the Khao Kai which was amazing to my taste buds and palate. My first try of this amazing flat rice noodle dish and I will get this again for sure.Pah Kee Mao (aka drunken noodles) was also a hit here and if you enjoy this Thai dish, you won't go wrong here. The Pad Thai was a bit too sweet to be honest, I understand different cooks, different locations. I have had so many different styles of Pad Thai and a hint or a dab more of some tamarind and less sugar would have made it.Mom and daughter both didn't like it either. So all in all with the exception of their Pad Thai being too sweet, the Thai Cuisine was a 4 out of 5 stars.Restaurant is clean, organized, friendly & accommodating service. They did a great job here, thank you Thai Avenue.Parking: Plenty of parking, may vary during peak hours.“
“Saturday 3/16/24 Lunch at Hòa Bình Restaurant in Garden Grove with my cousin. Enjoying Vietnamese foods. All the dishes are good; authentic and savory. It’s a nice day out to enjoy good foods and good conversation.David YoungRestaurant Enthusiast“
“This is the best dry noodle I’ve had in OC. I had the Grandpa’s dry noodle. The sauce under the noodle is very yummy. They gave a separate soup bowl and the server told me to not pour it over the noodle but just use some to sprinkle over. It’s really good. The first two special menu was very delicious. The filet mignon is very tender. The sauce is very unique. The last one on the special was not my favorite. I haven’t had pennyworts for a long time but they sell it here. Great spot for family vibes.“
“The phở here was okay compared to the many other phở restaurants around the area but I like how this place is open late since I ate here at midnight. Service is friendly and otherwise pretty decent place to eat phở but there are other options in the area.“
“We ordered both the first and second pho on the menu. The difference between them was just the size. The first one was huge and the second one was smaller but still filling. The pho was delicious and they gave us many beef slices. I was so thirsty when I got there but they charge for water so I ordered the lemon soda instead. I was worried that it would be super sweet and taste very artificial but it wasn’t, it was actually pretty good. My friend ordered the passion fruit drink and I thought it was a bit too sweet. Overall, it was really good and I would love to try their other food.“
“I never tried pho here but only order pho satay. I just had to give some comments. First pho satay here is good. I order from here and the one at Torrance. The Philippino guy who married the wife there is nice. Anyways, March 28, I ordered two pho satay and asked if I can I can sample pho soup. I tip generous here even though I'm not eating here. She said, you can't try since you don't order it. She said it in a rude way. Probably not going to come here again because of that. Pretty sure she's the owner or related to the owner.I'll just order from the sister side restaurant instead.“
“Ordered the jjajang combo with fried pork w/ sweet sour sauce. The noodles itself is enough to feed 2 people. The combo doesn't have the spicy variant so the lady was nice enough to provide red pepper flakes for us to add in. The fried pork isn't as crispy as I had wanted it to be but the sauce that comes with it is enough to satisfy. Prices here aren't that expensive compared to other places and there was a good amount of older folks sitting down enjoying the food as we waited for our food“
“Cozy little local restaurant with wonderful staffing! We came by near closing time and they were still very kind and efficient. Portions are great and ingredients are fresh but there is a limited quantity so it’s best to go early. Yummy and filling! This place is Ike Eveland approved ?“
“This is the best Thai food both my family has ever had and we love Thai food! We can't get enough of the pad see ew, crab fried rice and papaya salad we literally dream of it.The service is always phenomenal, quick and we have zero complaints. We're so happy to see this place always busy and even with the waitlist we are sat and eating within 10 minutes.“
“The food here is really delicious, especially the Vietnamese dry noodles - it goes perfectly with the garlic sauce! The waiter taught us how to eat ~ order a cup of delicious plum soda... OMG ? delicacies on earth ~ remember to order a small plate of fried pork rinds! Add to dry noodles and “
“The service here was super quick and the waitress was extremely friendly and funny! She also spoke fluent English and was able to explain in detail when we asked her about the contents of a certain dish. I got the duck noodle soup which is what they specialize in. And it very flavorful and the duck was so tender and fall off the bone. There was a deep rich umami herbal flavor to the soup but it was also sweet. I didn't expect the soup to be sweet but added a nice contrast to the flavors. The portion is a bit small though, so I left feeling hungry. If they sold a larger portion I'd definitely be ordering that!“
“Did not know much about these specific Vietnamese dishes. Our server was amazing and showed us pictures of each dish and tried to describe the flavors. She even went out of her way to make our experience more enjoyable! Loved it! Will come again!!“
“The noodle & broth immediately transported me to the alleyway stalls where an auntie cooked her special egg noodle soup. Everything else mid just icing on top of a GREAT noodle soup. The dick and chicken are both delicious; OMG, the egg noodles are perfect! The service is friendly, but are native Vietnamese speakers. My server preferred Mandarin to English. And even the interior design reminds me of the old country. I will find excuses to drive by & enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner.“
“Mostly consistent food quality. Semi open kitchen shows transparency. My go to for banh mi right now. Fair prices. Drive thru is a plus for on to go days. Majority of their locations are a bit out of the way. If it was closer to a freeway line that’s be ideal especially as a drive thru. Bathrooms could be better.“
“Ordered karaage with came fresh and tasty. I ordered tonkatsu ramen after asking about the spicy tonkatsu ramen. The waitress said it was spicy compared to hot Cheetos which I don't do so I opted out, the broth was creamy I just prefer more garlic . I could have added on to the bowl I ordered for an additional fee but I decided not to. The chashu pork was a bit salty, my sister ordered the same bowl and shared it was too salty for her. Overall it was good, staff was friendly and the restaurant looked clean“
“It was an authentic Korean restaurant, and the foods were great, especially their Kimchi was absolutely awesome. We ordered Kal noodle, which was too big for one person, Jaengban noodle, which was a little bit of sweet, and Tempura, which was jumbo size. There was no sampler for small amounts for tempura, so I had to take it home for leftover. It was still good after heating with the airfryer.“
“If for any reason you feel under the weather, and need something warm to fill your tummy. Head over to PHO 99 in Garden Grove. This spot has always always curved my craving for PHO. It was so hot and delicious but it hit the spot . Trust me try it it is so so tasty and flavorful, I had the oxtail my daughter had the meatball with brisket. It was so good.“
“Great ambiance, super duper friendly service, shout out to Thanh, the host, and the girls there. Oh they have karaoke like other lounges in the vicinity and also DJ in da house after 9pm I think. Love their #lẩuriêucua #hotpot and salad. They serve all kinds of liquor and beverages #austinhope #theprisoner #sake #soju and #beer“
“Ngon quá! :)My family's favorite place for Hủ Tiếu. They make it rather quickly and it tastes way more flavorful than other restaurants. They also give you a plate of bean sprouts and a shrimp cracker to go along with your soup. The service was very good and attentive even though there was only one person taking orders and bringing out the food. The shop was clean and cozy which we also liked. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for some tasty Hủ Tiếu.“
“Yummy and good portion size for the price! The salty lemonade did not taste great though. I usually love viet salty lemonade, but the lemon flavor was not very pronounced here so it just tasted salty with a hint of lemon. The food was great though!! And the food came out quickly“
“today 5/16/23 i got Bỏ Ne and my friend got bún chả,both are very tasty with large portion,.Bo ne gồm có steak ,steak, friend fry, rice and one egg sunny side.Bun chả Hanoi large portion and tasty than at other places. one super extra thing is you also get very tasty soft che đậu đen free for dessert. The service is very good taken care by many respected gentleman. thank you very much.Danh và LT.“
“The restaurant area is a bit small and you should probably reserve a table before you arrive. But if you have to wait, it's worth it. The food is delicious and very similar to that in Saigon. The only thing is that there are not many parking spaces and sometimes you have to compete with others for parking spaces.Parking: There is free parking in front of the store, but there are too many cars and you have to compete.“
“Pho 88 is the go-to spot for delicious pho and refreshing tea. Their pho is flavorful and satisfying, with tender meat and perfectly cooked noodles in a rich broth. Pair it with one of their teas, hot or cold, for a complete and satisfying meal. Whether you're craving comfort food or a refreshing beverage, Pho 88 delivers on both fronts with quality and taste that keep customers coming back for more.“
“Located in the rear side of the 99 cents store.Establishment is pretty small but not rundown.Became a full house of patrons as I just came before the lunch rush.Decent bun rieu soup! You get about 7-8 pieces of snail, 3 fried tofu cubes, 2 crab Patties, & 1 piece of cha lua packed with lemon grass.Too bad no blood cubes included in this bowl of soup.Be sure to request mam Tom sauce "fermented shrimp paste" which adds a lot of umami flavor!Parking can be quite tight around the area and also watch out for POT HOLES!“
“We got here at midnight on a Monday and it was PACKED and now I understand why. The pho was good, but they also have other food items. I got the Eggrolls which hit the spot. And the desserts! My friend got the Che ba Mau which she says was good and I got the durian smoothie was amazeballs because they use real durian! Now I dream of that durian smoothie.“
“I've dined here before, but it's been at least two years. I've had a craving for pho for several days now, so today was the day. Arrived just after 1:30 PM. Not crowded at all. I had made my selection by consulting the pictorial menu on the front windows of the restaurant: #36. That item is shrimp and fried pork and noodles and lots of vegetables and it was awesome.“
“Didn't have to wait for a table on a Friday night for a party of two. I think if you're a larger party, you may have to wait. Got cha gio, pho tai chin, and a cafe sua da. The cha gio and cafe sua da was nothing special. Not the best I've had, but not bad at all. The star of the show was the broth of the pho. It was very tasty, with no overpowering notes from a singular spice. All the ingredients from the beef in the pho tai, to the vegetables served with the cha gio were very fresh.“
