“Living so close to Sultan’s and driving by for over a decade, I always wondered what it was like. We finally went for dinner and the belly dancing show, and our expectations were exceeded! Everything was absolutely incredible here - their menu is huge, the staff was knowledgeable about the food and very friendly, and the food came out quickly despite how packed they were with multiple large parties. I thought the lamb kofte was so tender and perfectly cooked. You have to order the mixed cold dips platter too! The belly dancing show was so fun to watch, and we had such a great time that we decided to bring my grandfather here 2 weeks later for his birthday. All we can say is we can’t believe we hadn’t visited sooner! We will definitely be regulars now.”

“After much anticipation, my fiancé and I went to Diorio to celebrate our anniversary several months ago! This spot has been high on my list of restaurants to visit ever since they reopened after COVID and remodeling. The interior was so charming, with a classy vintage feel that I absolutely loved. The menu definitely had some good choices, and while everything we ordered was good, we did agree that we’ve had better. Mostly we thought my fiancé’s ribeye could’ve used more seasoning, but the truffle butter that he had with it definitely added to the flavor. The pasta with my chicken parm was a bit cold, so it must’ve been plated before the chicken. One of the highlights for us though was when the waitress came around with a platter to showcase their desserts - it helped us make our decision on the banana banoffee and chocolate cake. The banoffee was excellent, but the chocolate cake was a little dry. Overall, I do think this is a great option to have in downtown Waterbury, and I would still come back to try some other dishes. We came on a weeknight and were impressed to see that it got pretty busy at peak dinner time!”

“Tonight I went to Texas Roadhouse with my friend , and we're fortunate to immediately be able to sit in the outdoor patio. Our server (Sanaiah) did an excellent job checking into the questions we had about specific dietary needs for my friend and provided a welcoming environment while we were there.The food overall was good. It seemed like possibly the kitchen staff were a little short-handed due to the length of time we waited but when the food came it wasn't bad.The unfortunate reason why I gave it a 4 out of 5 not only for the general review but also for the atmosphere was not due to the staff but the rude patrons and how they treated the staff while my friend and I ate dinner. It's unfortunate to see how individuals talk down to individuals in server roles and so forth, and even at one point had the manager come over to their table to complain about dishes that specifically indicated the ounce size of how much proportion you are getting of the salmon or steak, yet they still complained. Either way... A petite sirloin is going to be petite AKA small, plain and simple. It's sad to see that servers while doing an excellent job are still being treated as secondary. “Stopped in on our way home from DC and had a fantastic dinner - the snow crab was outstanding. Nice, big pieces of meat that slid right out of the shell with virtually no struggle. Good sized shrimp, and the sausage, corn and potato were great too. Super friendly (and fast) service. What a pleasure it was to take a break from our almost 12 hour drive (thanks to traffic and crappy weather) and spend some time relaxing here with good food and great people. I hope we are able to stop in again the next time we are on the road!”

“I went here for the first time for New Year's Eve food. My regular place was unexpectedly closed so in Googling around I decided on this place. I did let them know I'd be giving them a review afterwards. I do have to say firstly, this place is so absolutely clean and they had a very nice area if you want to dine in. The people who work there are very nice and they had no problem cooking the broccoli longer in the chicken and broccoli because we don't like it too hard. I had a large order and there were no mistakes and it was done while I waited in a timely fashion. The food was delicious. They did not overuse the vegetables so you get less meat. The egg foo young was great! The chow mei fun was very good and actually the reason I chose this place cuz every place doesn't make it. Lo mein excellent and chicken fingers tender. All In all this is my new place to go when I want Chinese food. When you order they ask if it's cash but they definitely do take cards. I wouldn't hesitate to give them a try, just be specific about how you want your order as they were very accommodating. Besides softer broccoli, I wanted only mushrooms in my egg foo young and they did it no problem, it cost $1 more but that's fine. Again. It's a great and clean place for take out or eat in. Dunya fries and meat pies are always the OG order, we also went for the spinach feta phyllo and lamb kebab over rice. It's very cluttered and product is always coming in. Sliding down the aisles for tahini or dates is just part of the fun, looking for spices to bring home or trying something new.”

“I was craving Spanish food and found this place online. The interior is very inviting and spacious. The tables also have some beautiful artwork on them. The main thing about this place is the food. I tried the tortas. I was a little hesitant because I never tried tortas before and was thinking of ordering tacos like I usually do at these places but I decided to give the tortas a try and was not disappointed. I got mine with stake. It was filled with lettuce, onions, avocado, and pickles. The texture of the bread was ideal and held everything together. They were also very quick with serving my order. I also got a strawberry and cheese danish as a dessert. This place gives you the best value for your money. I will definitely come here again to try other items.”

Today 01/05 I walk in and here is the same lady with her daughter asking them for free food bc she left yesterday bc she had to go to work and continued to say I was the one that made her leave and bc the food took some time! I literally laughed and couldn’t believe this woman literally blamed a total stranger that applauded the staff as to why she left. Her and her daughter began to yell at me, curse, and threaten me. It’s all on Dunkin’ Donuts camera and I can play a video on my phone about how nasty these individuals were but it’s very embarrassing. I called corporate, filed a police report as well. Nasty people don’t need to hurt in any way people trying their best to service you!”

The server made the coffees and put them on the counter for us. There were several tables inside to sit at & since I was on a date we decided to hang out inside Dunkin for a bit. It was quiet which was nice (it was around 6:30pm-7pm on a Friday)The only negative thing I can say is that all the tables inside were dirty. “What refreshing little neighborhood cafe! It's nothing fancy and exactly what you want a free morning close to home. I didn't delve into the menu but trusted a friend who goes often and I wasn't disappointed! We shared the breakfast charcuterie board featuring Pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, Italian smoked sausage, cheese, tater tots and fried eggs. Add a couple of Americanos and we were set for a couple hours of great food and conversation. Have it there or get something to go and you'll get your day started right.”

“I work nearby and I’m not sure why it took me so long to check this place out. First off, their coffee/lattes are fantastic, some of, if not the best I’ve had in the city. They have many flavors and their specialty lattes are all very good. The food is also fantastic. Fresh and reasonably priced. I’m not sure if they bake their bread in house but it’s very soft and delicious, it tastes freshly baked. I haven’t had any of their bakery items yet but I imagine they’re also great. I highly recommend this place for coffee/breakfast. It’s roomy with enough seats to relax and get some work done if you need a place to sit too. The staff is very friendly as well. “We were traveling through the arena on Hwy 84 at 6 am and wanted coffee. Caffe Italia was the only place open so we drove into Waterbury. Winding our way there we almost decided to turn around and then…there it was. This was like walking into a little Italian neighborhood hangout….with EXCELLENT espresso! At 6 am there was a group of local Italians, reading papers, playing cards and generally sharing the days news. It felt like being at home with family. Great atmosphere! Lots of specialty Italian food, cheeses etc. Super nice guy who made our espresso. We would definitely stop in again for more!”

“I have been going on the weekend getting a slice of buttercream cake. Always happy with that. I was in there Sunday morning and decided to ask about the whipped cream slices. I asked Diane, of of the bakers why whipped cream can taste so different from different places. She was very busy, but she took the time to explain it to me. I asked if I could taste the whip cream, she let me. It was so good I picked up a slice with whipped cream. Problem is now I probably will be buying 2 slices when I go, instead of one. “My family has had Ming Wah as our main Chinese takeout place since we first moved here (over 15 years ago). Their family has grown alongside ours. I still remember being in elementary school and coming in with my dad to see their son playing games in the back, and my dad always was excited when he heard about their daughter going to college and how everyone was doing. They’ve always recognized me and my mother and given us a free soda, even after my dad passed away. “As newcomers to Waterbury, we've been on the lookout for ethnic restaurants. We found this little corner Dominican restaurant called El Encanto near Route 8 in Waterbury. It's 3 blocks up the road from a better known Dominican restaurant, La Cazuela. We liked El Encanto more for several reasons. First, it's in a quiet residential area, unlike the noisy intersection where La Cazuela is, located next to several bars. Second, the price is better than La Cazuela for the same type and quality of food. Third, the food tastes better. Our favorites are the beans-&-rice, the beef stew, roasted chicken, and the beef/chicken patties.”

I'm originally from New Orleans and we LOVE flavorful food but I've never been too big into Jamaican dishes. However, I am so glad I decided to try this place. I got the j*** chicken small platter with rice and peas, honey glazed chicken kabobs, fried chicken and bar-b-fry chicken (they had run out of wings for the day so they gladly substituted 2 other fried chicken dishes for me)... all I have to saw is WOW. Every single piece of chicken was cooked perfectly tender and flavorful. Their food is FRESH and these people know how to cook! I know where to go now when I'm craving fried chicken.Do not walk, but run to Chew2Live. You won't be disappointed!I pray this place stays as this was one of the best meals, if not best, I've had in Waterbury since I moved here. I'll be back again and again. Thank you!!!”

“Tonight I went to Texas Roadhouse with my friend , and we're fortunate to immediately be able to sit in the outdoor patio. Our server (Sanaiah) did an excellent job checking into the questions we had about specific dietary needs for my friend and provided a welcoming environment while we were there.The food overall was good. It seemed like possibly the kitchen staff were a little short-handed due to the length of time we waited but when the food came it wasn't bad.The unfortunate reason why I gave it a 4 out of 5 not only for the general review but also for the atmosphere was not due to the staff but the rude patrons and how they treated the staff while my friend and I ate dinner. It's unfortunate to see how individuals talk down to individuals in server roles and so forth, and even at one point had the manager come over to their table to complain about dishes that specifically indicated the ounce size of how much proportion you are getting of the salmon or steak, yet they still complained. Either way... A petite sirloin is going to be petite AKA small, plain and simple. It's sad to see that servers while doing an excellent job are still being treated as secondary. I would recommend this location and definitely want to give a shout out to our server for doing a wonderful job while we were there. Thanks Sanaiah! ?”

Super easy to order online and although I waited closer to 40 minutes rather than the 25 minute estimate, I knew it would be busy on a Saturday night so I didn’t mind. The gentleman that came outside with my order had a big smile on his face and was so friendly, it made me that much more happy about my decision to order from them and just put me in a good mood. The food was still hot when I got home and everything was delicious! I had the honey chipotle chicken crispers with Texas fries and nothing was soggy by the time we got home (approximately ten minutes later), chicken was crispy and the honey chipotle sauce is incredible! The fries were awesome.. as usual and still had life to them without getting soggy in the package thanks to the foil the kitchen used to separate the fries from the saucey chicken. Everything was great, I just wish I knew the guys name that brought out the order- he has longish curly hair and just the friendliest demeanor. Thank you for being so kind if you’re reading this!”
