“I went to Mande’s with my family for lunch, and it was amazing! We walked in with 2 toddlers, and within a few minutes of sitting down our waitress brought out a little bag of toys!!! She then asked for the kid’s orders so she could get their food going. I’ve never been treated with such kindness and thoughtfulness when dining with kids. It made lunch really easy for us, and much quieter because the kiddos were happily coloring and playing. The adults really enjoyed the food (I got the shrimp and grits, omg amazing), and the kids ate their meals really well. Which is quite a compliment coming from a 2 and 3 year old. Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Our waitress saw our 2 toddlers and brought out a bag of toys and colors. She took the kid’s order first so food would come out quickly. By FAR the most kid friendly place I’ve dined!“
“Looking for a different restaurant to try and stumbled upon this gem.Venue: in a small shopping center- place was clean with average seating.Service: Quick & accommodatingFood: My shrimp quesadilla had a bounty of shrimp! Plus, they were prepared perfectly. The salsa was spicy like I enjoy it, but the chips seemed to bought. The beans that accompanied the quesadilla were adequate.Cocktail: The margarita with Grand Marnier and tajin was solid and an ample size to be the regular size.Verdict: My next meeting in the area is in April, and I know where I'm going.“
“Update: Just went today to get crawfish, gumbo and boudin balls. The crawfish were so good and well seasoned!!! I hesitate to go today because for the past 3 years, they have not been spicy at all. So I couldn't have been happier today with how spicy they were. They are always clean crawfish, decent sized and today, they were some of the best I've ever eaten!The boudin balls were very delicious. They were kind of like chicken fried, which made them so good. I picked up a quart of gumbo in the market as well... I was super pleased with everything todayGood reliable food!“
“While in the New Orleans area for my wifes birthday trip, we found this place while looking for great seafood on our way back to New Orleans from a trip to a plantation. Upon arrival, we were met by the owner, who was able to find us a seat on the restaurants beautiful and new dining porch overlooking Lake Pontchartrain. I highly recommend this restaurant for quality seafood and great service. The waiter could even tell he was serving some "Yankees" and had fun with the situation. Thanks for the southern hospitality and the delicious seafood!!“
“WOW! What a great place! It was packed, but you don't really care. They have some nice rocking chairs looking out over the lake to calm your nerves, if that doesn't work they also have 3 bars upstairs that you can "pick your poison" and chill. We got some drinks and hung out upstairs overlooking the beautiful lake and all the activities that were going on. I think our wait was over an hour, but it only seemed a short while as the view was spectacular and the conversation was great with other guests. Everyone is very friendly here. The staff was top notch and even recognized the regular customers, which I plan to be from now on. Let's get to the food... In a word - Outstanding! From the chargrilled oysters to the chili shrimp appetizers to the main course, all was well more than anticipated. The cheesecake dessert was out of this world, creamy with the best flavor I've ever had. Definitely give this place a try. You won't regret it.“

But it exists and it is great.Open only during the crawfish season, this place sells exactly what you would expect. Crawfish and crawfish accessories only. Here is the way it works:1. Pull in line2. Pick which size crawfish you want.2a. They do have them live if you want to cook your own.3. Pick any sides you want (corn, potatoes, mushrooms).4. Pay - Prices are in line with other local vendors.6. Pull around and someone will bring them to your car.7. Drive home and enjoy.The process is incredibly easy and the crawfish are perfectly spiced. The perfectly spiced is the key for me. Many other places have bland crawfish which is no fun. Another fun fact, if you order large, they are legitimately large. In most other places you get what you get but not here. I look forward to next season because I will be coming back for more.“

“Very pleasantly surprised! My husband and I had a doctor's appt in mandeville so we stopped for lunch. I had the Ferdie ( roast beef, grilled ham, and Swiss cheese) hubby had the surf n turf (roast beef and fried shrimp) they both were delicious! Very flavorful roast beef, it just needed a little more gravy, which I asked for and the young lady provided with no problem. The bread was perfect poboy bread, IYKYK! The onion rings were real homemade onion rings and were delicious. The spicy cheese fries were good as well l, they definitely don't skimp on the cheese! The service was excellent. The young lady at the counter is finery customer friendly. She greets you when you walk in the door and thanks you for your service when you leave. While eating in she comes to the table to check on how you are enjoying the food. We will definitely be back!“
“Cafe Lynn is accessible, one story level, spacious, classic, warm, romantically charming even for lunch. It host a small bar area with a few tables and a dining room. Would suggest reservations if you plan on eating formally. The food is southern Louisiana style dressed up. As for myself, I met my husband here for lunch. I have no complaints.
