“Food is so delicious and staff extremely helpful and attentive”
“Craving tempura, my husband found this highly rated restaurant, so we had to try it out. Located in Stix ASIA, one of several Asian restaurants in the basement of Waikiki Shopping Plaza.
Servers were attentive, yet not overbearing. We had fun teasing with our waiter, thankfully he was a good sport.
I ordered the Shrimp Tempura and the other two had the Kiki tempura bowls.
My husband thought his were greasy, but all were very good.”
“WONDERFUL Experience! A truly great time for the whole family. Last night was a fantastic performance enjoyed by ALL, from 6 weeks to 90! The performers really make you feel like part of their extended Hawaiian Family❤️👍👍👍”

“My favorite panang curry on island! Attentive staff and fun atmosphere.”
“This is the best place to go to when you want quality hot pot without breaking bank and also breaking stomach bc you ate too much at all you can eat. Really friendly service and I love the ambience.”
“From the warm greeting everyone receives when walking through the door to the attentive and super friendly service, this place is amazing! The sushi was outstanding… hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had! The texture, taste and presentation was top notch. Wish there was a location on the east coast!”

“Sunny’s was an awesome find for breakfast. The servers are so nice and the food was awesome. I had the avocado toast - so good. Lots of variety and healthy meals. I would highly recommend this spot.”
“Holy cow! This was a highlight of my trip to Honolulu. The cesar salad was incredible!! The cannoli was amazing, the pizza was so tasty, and they had a great wine/drinks selection. If I lived in Oahu this would be my go to date night stop.”
“I have visited the Haleiwa location multiple times and it just hits the spot for unique gelato flavors! I also highly recommend any of the crepes ... and of course, the Ube Mochi waffle!!! Staff friendly and attentive and the place is kept very clean. Definitely worth a stop if you need to pick up a pint of gelato for a family dinner too. ;)”
“I love their vegetarian stir fry! I have to limit my sodium intake, and this dish gives me the flavor I need without a lot of salt.”
“The best modern omakase in Oahu. Great food, great environment, very personable staff. You’re missing out on the Oahu experience if you don’t attend Omakase by Aung. Mahalo Aung for the perfect Omakase.”
“Aloha, Han No Daikoro has amazing cuts of wagyu meats, served fresh from Japan. We visited during the Taste of Ward week - good deal at $85, nice. Kim chee and namul sides come with the meal. Add the garlic stone pot rice too, all so yummy. Nice fun cocktails, beer and sake. Enjoy!”

“A hole-in-the-wall place with a ~really~ good burger and fries. Probably the best on Waikiki, or at least the best I've found so far. Generous portion sizes, too. The only knock I can give is it's not "fast" food, like you might expect for a hole-in-the-wall place: Burger was (perfectly) made to order, so it took around the same amount of time to make as it would in a sit-down restaurant, but other than that, it was great. If you're looking for a burger you can grab and take to the beach, this is the place to get it.
Parking: Only parking is what you can find in the garages on Waikiki.”
“We RAN to Waffle and Berry after the zoo. We showed up 15 minutes before closed and they were quick to calm us. As long as we ordered by 2 minutes before close, we would be served. And then they showed up with a snack plate for our toddler. He absolutely loved it!! We absolutely loved our dessert. Crispy, warm waffle. Sweet ice cream and berries. Unbelievably welcoming environment.”
“TLDR: Melissa is AWESOME! But, if you are gluten free (ie no soy sauce with wheat) or allergic to mushrooms, you can’t eat here.
My husband and I combined have those allergies and Melissa was very kind to ask the chef if we could be accommodated. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible. Melissa was so respectful of how she informed us - aaaaaaand then offered us a complimentary cocktail (which was on point) and a reservation down the road at a nice restaurant that she knew could accommodate our allergies!
I don’t envy her for effectively having to kick us out, but she (and the entire staff) were so gracious to us. Thank you Melissa!”
“My favorite meal during my trip was at Southern Love, and I do not say that lightly. The food is clearly made with Love, as the title implies. It might seem off beat to get Southern food in Hawaii, but you would be remiss to not eat at least one meal at Southern Love. The authentic southern cooking (again, done with love) does take time, so prepare for a little (but not unreasonable) wait for your delicious meal! While you wait for the food (that will blow your socks off!) you can enjoy the ambiance of an at home experience that matches perfectly with the best local dining in the South.
We were lucky enough to have the special chicken sandwich, coated in fried honey crust with perfect tints of spice, with friggin' Mac 'N Cheese on top!! This sandwich slayed!! I saw it, thought no way I could finish it...and then couldn't stop myself from leaving the plate spotless!
In short, thank you Southern Love for an amazing meal and experience! All of the stars for the perfect Southern Love mix with lovin' Hawaiian feels!!”
“Great sushi and presentation! Very subdued decor, but I liked it. One of the best sushi places I've been. If you're in Honolulu, definitely check out this spot!”

“High quality sushi you can order by pieces, price point is on the higher end but food quality well justified it. All pieces we ordered didn’t have tendon parts you can’t chew, they were very fresh, decent sized. Their wasabi’s freshly grounded version. Would definitely come back again!
The decor looked a bit cheap tho and the lighting of the restaurant didn’t offer any ambiance, didn’t create a feeling that we’d like to stay for a long time and enjoy our food, but rather, let’s eat then leave. Efficiency seems to run in all aspects of the restaurant. You order food on a iPad and pieces delivered directly from kitchen via a conveyor belt.”
“Can't beat a local bread shop that makes delicious baked goods at unbeatable prices. Ordering is easy online and pick up is quick and efficient. Parking is available in a parking lot behind/adjacent to the building. All of the breads and baked goods are larger than you'd expect. The ciabatta is over a foot long and the slice of potato focaccia was the entire length of the bakery box (started eating before I remembered to snap a photo 😅).”
“I am foodie from Japan, enjoy once or twice a month hotel buffet in Tokyo. But Orchids Sunday branch menu was the best ever. Not only does it taste good, but it also tastes good, fine scenery, number and placement of staff and their diligence noteworthy.”
“The best High Tea we've had, including The Fairmont in a few key cities. Excellent!!”
“I had the unexpected pleasure of enjoying drinks and snacks at Obake. We were early for reservations at Skull and Crown. The hostess recommended Obake, which is their sister bar and restaurant, just around the corner. We were seated at the counter across from chef Christian and watched him craft all the handrolls served during our visit. First, the drinks: we had the Momiji, the Will o' the Whisp, the Fallen Angel, and the Feels like Summer. This isn't your everyday bar. The cocktails took some time to craft, but they did not disappoint . The Momiji was their nod to fall, while the Feels like Summer, well, you get it. While each drink was light and enjoyable, my favorite was the FLS. A nod to the Old Fashioned, but light and bright.
The house pickles and Yukari Fries were perfect sharing plates. We also tried the Hamachi, Summer Toro, Ho Hayn, and Bangsilog rolls. The Summer Toro had strawberries in it that paired beautifully with the spicy Toro. The Ho Hayn was served with a small dish of Hawaiian chili pepper water, either dipped in the water or followed by a chaser sip of the water. The Ho Hayn left me wanting more. The Bangsilog was probably my favorite just because it brought me back to breakfast in my Filipino mother's kitchen. It was all the flavors of my childhood in one roll.
Our server, whose name slips my memory, was a delight. She was attentive and explained the concepts behind the drinks she brought us.
Christian was a joy to watch and a joy to speak with.
Thank you for an enjoyable evening.”

“Right now it’s a nightmare finding everything cuz they decided to change the store around so once it’s done and you relearn the location of everything it will be perfect again but don’t be afraid to ask where things are. I did and every employee that helped was very helpful and polite. I would absolutely recommend Safeway.”
“I had about 30 minutes before my "Me time" appointment to get all girled up with lashes, pedicure and manicure. I figured I stop in and have some breakfast. The manager that serviced me was sweet. The environment was kicked back as I noticed families enjoying each other. I sat on a 4 seater. That's all they had. I invited Father God to sit with me... I got to talk with him. And ate my breakfast... cried inside of all things going on in my life. Changes etc. Towards the end, a girl asked if she could use 2 seats... I said yes. Turned around and it looked like time with her mom and dad... at least I had the chair in front of me... #godsseat... I miss my parents. They both alive. They just chose to not be in my life. Been so long. Thank you Jack in the Box for being available for me to sit, eat and talk with God. God bless your buisness ”
“Best deal in Waikiki.2 tacos for under $2 bucks. Taste great, same recipe since it's inception. Not sure if it's BEEF or some combination of filler & beef the main thing is the TASTE the seasoning is timeless. I dined on these same tacos back in the what? 90's . The quality & pricing has remained the same. Frankly it's the ONLY food product I eat at JNB.... mostly for nostalgia.”
“This was definitely a different Pizza experience... their story is intriguing and hopefully this brand and cuisine comes to the remainder of the states especially Florida... I had their lime drink and it was amazing and their Pizza was delightful. 43 inc highly recommended. In Tampa Florida we have a network called The HUB and it's a place we recommend phenomenal experiences. This would be one.”

“Amber- the co owner, is absolutely astounding. Super super friendly, and If you have any questions on any of the food she has the knowledge of it all! Location is perfect as there is a bunch of seating area around and always good jams playing in the background. The food taste AMAZING, I recommend trying the B.E.A.S.T DELICIOUS”
“This place deserves 5 stars. They've probably gotten over $100 from me from the past week. l've been coming in here everyday for breakfast and the highlight is the pork kakuni & egg. Think of a braised taiwanese braised pork and a marinated egg ontop. They even stuff the masubi center with more meat! The pork melts in your mouth and you cant just eat one. I order 3 a day!! Service was amazing and always greets upon entry. Ambiance is welcoming a small area where there are trays of masubis and Bento boxes. Highly recommend for this is the best masubi place on the island.”

“First experience here and it was for my 4 year wedding anniversary and it was a GREAT experience. We got the bar experience where they prepared each dish in front of us and got the package with the sake pairing.
Each piece was delightful and the chefs were very pleasant to talk to.
You get the option to add to your omakase before and after it begins.
It is a pretty penny so definitely a place to go for special occasions.”
“I really enjoyed coming to this bar for drinks I had a whiskey sour and it was perfectly balanced. The bartender that served me was very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately I did not eat the food since I had a full meal before although I've heard great things about how good it was. Next time I'm on island I will definitely try the food.”
“I've been meaning to go here for months, and a rainy Sunday afternoon proved to be the perfect moment to stop by with some friends. The interior, though small, is so charmingly decorated with such care and delightful details. Although known more for their bottled beverages, I opted for- and thoroughly enjoyed- a freshly made drink. The blueberry matcha was delicious, and is probably one of my top three matchas on island now! At first I wondered if I'd misordered because there was no visible blueberry-ness, but the first sip proved me wrong. The blueberry flavor was very present but still paired beautifully with matcha and oat milk, and the blueberry scented cold foam on top was wizardry. Overall, it was a nice sweet treat, while being not-too-sweet! My companion also got their yuzu chocolate oat coffee drink, and while that seemed like an ambitious combination, let me tell you... they pulled it off! The flavor notes come in waves and it was refreshingly unique and well balanced. The staff are all so friendly, fashionable, and chill. Also enjoyed their ube swirl bread to share. Also, LOVE that they are open later til 6pm, which is so rare for cafes here! Will be coming back to sample lots more and also check out their covered patio next time :)”
“We tried the new Scallops dish and it is well worth it! I receive emails from Roy's about their events and new offerings so we were fascinated by the U10 Scallops, Truffle and Uni Risotto and caviar dish. It is well worth the $79 price tag. The Risotto was excellent and the scallops were cooked to perfection! We went during Pau Hana hour (aka Happy Hour - 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday) so we also took advantage of the discount on the house wines. The white was a Sauvignon Blanc that was crisp and refreshing. I had the house res which was a fruity Pinot Noir. At $10 a glass they were such a bargain. We shared the scallops ( they happily provide sharing plates at no additional charge) and a Pau Hana Hour Brussels Sprouts as a side. The servings were generous enough to make a great meal. The downstairs manager stopped by to check on how everything was going and apologize for the lack of live music. Musician was ill but they usually have live music downstairs as well. Great meal and great service. Don't forget to tell your server if you want to pace your meal. Food comes out so quickly you'd be surprised!”
“Honestly one of the best omakase's I've ever had. Chef Howard makes each course its own experience with intention behind each bite. More than amazing quality fresh sushi, this dinner omakase experience was worth the splurge.”
“The food was very good, wife love the ice cream on her French toast.”

“I walked passing the center this morning what I found. They start putting up Christmas decorations in the beginning of October.. are you kidding me? It won’t help your sales if you looking for that goal. It would make many people though you are crazy. I am not sure the marketing or what so ever department does not knows well what exactly what is they doing. Instead of trying doing that you should focus on the coming event. Such as Early access sales campaigns it will be boosted traffic Not Christmas decorations in October.”
“We celebrated a big anniversary at Pai and WOW - they made it extra special. We did the four course menu with wine pairings. The service was top notch. The food was inspired, creative, delicious, and locally sourced. Though the portions of each dish looked small, it was more than enough food and so delicious you wanted to eat every bite! The wine pairings were spot on, absolutely perfect with our chosen courses. The space has such a lovely vibe - clean and modern, but comfortable and well appointed. There really isn't another dining experience quite like this on the island. Justine and Kevin have created such a beautiful place with incredible food and service. Pai is definitely a must-try restaurant. We will definitely be back.”
“Forget just dinner this was an unforgettable journey. The wow factor began instantly, turning the corner from the elevator to that view, perfectly framed from our table. Flawless food, impeccable service, great music, and a truly unique dessert followed. The heartfelt goodbye from our waitress capped it off perfectly. We loved every second”
“From food to service this place knocked it out of the park! Coming from NYC and been to Japan twice I think this is one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever had.
Seasoning for each dish was just right. The chef kindly gave me three pieces of dried stingray fin to try. Don’t be fooled by the name. I was surprised by how well seasoned and cooked it was. Moist yet crispy and sweet. It was so good that I ordered a whole plate.
Service wise, I dined solo at the counter. Chef and waiting staff were all super attentive but also gave me space to enjoy the food. During our conversation, I casually mentioned how good the mangos in Hawai’i were. The waitress kindly asked the pastry chef to add a few pieces of mango to my dessert. It was such a pleasant surprise!
Last but not least, they allow half sizes to some of the dishes. It was a huge positive cause it allowed me to try more dishes!”
“Took the family (party of 6) to the Waikiki location last night (12/23/23)... ABSOLUTELY stellar...!!! It was very busy... and this location is a little tight on space... But, everyone and everything functioned like a well oiled machine...!!! And, as always - with any Ruth's Chris... the food and service were World Class...!!!”
“This is one of the world’s great restaurant. The food is amazing, the ambience is incredible and the wait staff is one of the most knowledgeable I have seen. The guest is treated like royalty. I highly recommend this restaurant”

“This coffee shop is a gem and quickly became the highlight of our trip! The owner was so welcoming to us and our baby, it has truly left such a wonderful memory for us in Oahu. We went back again and again, day after day! The Açaí bowl, Pitaya bowl, scones, cookie and coffee were all so good. The owner even came out just to say goodbye to us on our last day on the island, it was truly heartwarming! We will miss Pai Cafe so much!”
“Tasty breakfast, friendly service and would return if we were not leaving island. Got blueberry pancake breakfast with fried eggs and crisp turkey bacon.
We had been coming nearly every day and the place was closed so we were confused about the operating hours which said only open on Thursdays, with a confusing hours pic on a review that said closed only on Tue. The owner clarified that they were on vacation the last 2 weeks (it’s 31 Oct 2024). But they ARE closed only on Tuesdays now that they are back. Hooray! Mahalo.”
“Edit, Dec 2024:
We had a matcha soft serve on a cone this visit.
Ube and peach were the seasonal flavors available, though almost everyone ordered matcha.
Original, 2023:
Amazingly creamy, lightly bitter matcha soft serve!
We ordered a matcha shave ice with matcha soft serve to share between 2 adults.
Plenty of dessert to go around.
Ice was a tad chunky and crunchy, not super fine.
3 mochi balls and 1 chestnut
A scoop of sweetened red beans
The soft serve was swirled and more matcha powder was sprinkled on top
This matcha shave ice is winning against my previous favorite at Uncle Clay's HOPA.
First week of March 2023: special flavors are Ube and
Sakura (Cherry Blossoms), which can be swirled together.
I would like to try the Ube next time. Sakura sounds pretty good, but Matcha will likely be the favored choice each time.
Staff were extremely polite and pleasant.
Shop doesn't accept cash, you must use a credit card or your phone (payment via Square).

“On Hale Koa's beach (Fort DeRussy). Nice atmosphere and 20% discount for military personnel. Only food is hot dogs and chips. Why a 5/5 rating? Because of Kimo the bartender. Have never met a more caring person. He gives water with the drinks, offers chairs, sun protection lotion and anything else needed. All customers I talked to felt the same way about Kimo. Excellent variety of drinks. Mango flow was my favorite. People from all over the world sit here and we become one big family. Will be back and will recommend ?”
“Such a hidden gem on Kapahulu Ave! I stopped by during a food tour (right near Ono Seafood and Leonard’s) and was so glad I did. I had the cold brew with coconut cold foam- the flavor profile was smooth, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. My friend was torn between the rose matcha and honey matcha, and the barista went above and beyond by mixing the rose and honey syrups (even though it wasn’t on the menu!) so she could enjoy the best of both worlds. The matcha itself was fantastic- vibrant, not too sweet, and really well balanced.
The baristas here were incredibly kind and welcoming, making the experience even better. Honestly, I’d recommend Better Daze over Sunrise Shack if you’re in the area!”
“My husband and I went in on a whim. I didn't expect this little cafe to be the highlight of our week, but here we are! My favorite part, besides getting to pet several kittens at once of course, was the staff. We booked a 30 minute slot to start, and it quickly went by! The room volunteer was so helpful and kind. Every kitty we pet she told us all about their personality, habits, and history if available. You can truly tell they love the cats deeply and wish them the best. it's also so nice that they are so helpful when choosing a kitty that's right for you. personality is so important! Also, the drinks were fantastic! I got a mango matcha tea and was so happy with it. Perfectly sweet! Thank you again for giving us such a fun experience! You'll see us again for sure :)”
“It's a small low key store with not much of a storefront that always have a long line all the way outside on the street. If it is not for the long line I wouldn't even have noticed the shop existed. The poke they're selling however is just exceptional. It was so good in fact that I recommended other people from other hotels to go get the poke bowl. The fish they use are fresh, they don't oversauce, and they mix the sauce in only when you put the order in. None of those fishy watery poke that you see in other shops that uses pre-mixed poke. You can custom mix and match fish type and sauce type, or go with one of their preset bowls. I personally highly recommend the preset "spicy spicy" bowl + a scoop of ikura (salted salmon roe) topping. Incredible! It's a takeaway shop so there's no service to speak of. They have a eating area next to the ship by side of the road, street food atmosphere.”
“Staff at Lulu’s couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful if they tried. We went last night as a large party and they were so wonderful! Accommodating all of our needs, including moving our table due to a sensory overload for one of my children. Our server was outstanding, from helping with a suggestion for parking to getting all of our meals and drinks perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful night”

“I ate like crazy!! So there are only two pictures...
There are about ten side dishes and they are all delicious. I ate it without taking a picture haha.
It tastes like a non-irritating side dish.
The soybean paste stew is salty and spicy, not the taste of a meat restaurant.
The simple taste of making it at home without adding ssamjang, my child really enjoyed it even though there was pepper in it.
The seasoned ribs are also delicious. Most of them are not tough and the seasoning is just right.
Please do not cook only on high heat. It was a shame because the delicious meat burned quickly haha.
Jjambbong contains a moderate amount of seafood and has a rich taste.
Jjajang tastes like old-fashioned jjajang, and it’s light and good.
I also added pot rice, which is black rice.
Overall, everything was delicious, and I was very satisfied, perhaps because I live in a neighborhood that doesn't have many Korean restaurants.
The service is also very friendly!!!
The parking lot is conveniently located in the building.”
“Food is ALWAYS delicious and the staff is so kind and attentive! Katsu-san creates the most beautiful sashimi platters and omakase sushi!”
“The Tomahawk steak is outstanding. No need to ruin it with A1 sauce. The stuffed chicken breast was not dry, so tasty. Everything is ala carte but totally worth it. Would go again”
“This great bar is tucked away in an office building. The drinks were fantastic, although the service was slow for the amount of people at the bar. We will return the next time we are in the area.”
“My husband was in search of some good fish in Waikiki. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I’m not a seafood person so I got the chicken pasta and he tried snapper for the first time. Both of us were blown away by how tasty everything was. The portions were huge too! Out of all the places we had been to during our trip, this place is at the top. Even as a non fish eater, I loved it! There can be a wait, but it is well worth it. Try it, you’ll love it.”
“Simple, shareable, strongly spiced food, reasonably priced but will make you want to drink. Cozy, maybe 10 tables total. Bonus points for being open late but that will mean rowdy tables. Party room next door overwhelms the ambiance with skull-numbing, throbbing bass. Limited parking.”
“You will never be disappointed. The chef’s creativity in every dish shines through and is phenomenal every time. Makes me cry good tears! The best sushi on Oahu and a memorable, friendly atmosphere!”
“Best garlic shrimp I’ve ever had! I’ve been to 15+ eateries ordering the same dish on the mainland and the Hawaiian islands. The guava fried chicken and Lilikoi Pie were epic too! ”

“We were fortunate to grab seats at the bar before a show at the Blaisdell. Beautiful atmosphere, very attentive server/bartender (Kalei), amazing food options and lovely hand mixed cocktails. We were pleasantly surprised and will return!”
“Amazing dinner and friendly staff from bar to dining room! Our must every time we visit Oahu!”
“Outside table for one at lunch time. Korean barbecue chicken sandwich. Excellent, delicious and messie to eat. I would order again.”
“We loved both the food and the wine and the service. The place is gorgeous too. We had a wonderful time.”
“so good!!!!! best lobster roll strongly recommended first time trying and i really like it”
“Fabulous Food and wonderful staff !! Wine list is also terrific!!”
“Authentic Japanese food! It was great to be able to have it while vacationing in Hawaii. Brought back so many memories of living in Japan!”
“Came here for the $32 lunch special, what a great deal! High quality meats and unlimited sides, soda, curry and Dave's ice cream!!! Nice atmosphere, comfortable and great music. Alex our server was exceptional as usual. Love everything about this place! Our new go to!”
“A friend of mine came here with me for their restaurant week menu. We're glad to just order one set and did a la carte for the rest of the order so we could try a lot of things!
Overall the food was pretty good, a mixture of Spanish or just general European / contemporary American fare. The service was friendly and the outdoor patio seating was pretty nice. We had a lovely evening there.
For the restaurant week menu, the appetizer was Molokai shrimp tartare, iberico rioja wine stew with blue cheese, squid ink seafood and chorizo paella, chocolate mousse with lilikoi and mango. I liked all the items. The flavors were good, nothing surprising or wowed me though. The pork was tender and juicy. The chocolate mousse was definitely a safe bet. The paella taste was solid but I think it could do without the sausage because the fennel seeds were overpowering of the seafood flavor in the dish.
We also tried their croquetas de jamon, buñuelos, truffle egg custard pudding, octopus Ala Gallega, and Ube basque cheesecake. (I know we ordered a lot hahaha). I felt like the croquetas and the buñuelos had too much potato and just a bit of ham flavor and butterfish flavor respectively. Nonetheless they were deep fried well and tasty. The truffle egg custard pudding was smooth, delicate and delicious. It's small though - size of an egg for one order so each person should get one. The octopus was decent but I've had better. I like the Ube cheesecake a lot. It's had a good balance of flavor and texture - not too sweet, not too hard or soft, strong Ube flavor. Also the cream was delicious.
With all the food, and some drinks, I thought the price was pretty reasonable for the ambiance and the type of food. It could be a good spot for a date or hanging out with friends.”
“Pizza was really good. Very thin crust. San Marzano tomatoes sauce, perfect. Fresh toppings, just the right amount. House pulled fresh mozzarella. Need to find a more authentic Ceasar dressing recipe. Our salad was bland. We will definitely go back.”
“We had the garlic shrimp, kitchen, Ramen, potato tower. The food was excellent and made fresh. The portions are very large and filling. Highly recommend! Absolutely delicious! Outside tables to enjoy!”
“My all itme favirite restaurant. Excellent food and service. Reknown for their chirashi.”
“My now husband and I had our wedding rehearsal lunch here on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Their restaurant was my first choice and they were so accommodating! We had a private indoor space with an oceanfront lanai to mingle on. Jenni, who is the manager, and her employees went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The plumeria buffet was delicious, the drinks and souvenir cups were amazing, and the restaurant had such a relaxed ambience with such a beautiful view for pictures on the patio! Jenni and her team were outstanding, and the venue is highly recommended!”
“What a view when eating next to the small marina. The pizza was delicious. The beer was cold and great tasting. We will return the next time we are in the area. We grab a reservation online. It’s in a busy area and it took a few minutes to find a parking spot. Service was fantastic.”
“Absolutely delicious food from the kitchen and stellar service from Codi!
I loved the cocktail selection and the pulpo appetizer was great!
The pasta dishes we ordered were the perfect amount to share and be satisfied with and still have room for their delicious Crema Catalana and Cassata.
I'll definitely bring the family back to try more of their Spanish cuisine.”
“About the Rating Stars (optional) - suggest a switch to Mandatory! Comments Illustrate as Advertised. Mr. Dolan has another location opposite Kahala Mall. One can pre-populate the Survey. Yep, (Better Be) too busy Dining-n-Enjoying themselves!”
“Fio and Markus took excellent care of me. The drinks were superb and the atmosphere is excellent. Definitely the best bar I’ve had the pleasure of visiting on the island.”
“There's not enough space to right the good things about this place. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted and acknowledged by everyone, including the sushi chefs. Water and drink order is perfectly timed. Whether you order teishoku complete meals or sushi, the flavor and and portions are spot on. If you choose to sit at the sushi counter, the spread is just amazing. From white fish, tuna, to shellfish and sometimes even a fruit or plant to cleanse the pallet. I would recommend reservations as this place is always busy. Takeout is also very good!”
“This place is small but stylish and beautifully decorated, from the star of a bar design to each and every cozy nook throughout. Now home of the best craft cocktails on Oahu and complimented with well thought out, mouth watering bites. I went with a friend for the grand opening evening and I would never have guessed it was a grand opening. The staff was friendly, seemed very at ease the whole night and the bartender was knowledgeable about the menu. We tried 5 or so different small bites and a couple various cocktails each from the menu and EVERY SINGLE item was delicious and crafted so beautifully we almost didn't want to eat or drink them (almost! 😋) Well done, Podmore!!”
“Great local, parking etc for visiting. Seated at the bar, favorite spot, service and attention to detail second to none. Love the monthly specials, cocktails a must. See you soon”
“Great variety of beers on tap! The refrigerated beer cans selection was super fun and has changed a lot since I was there in early June (2 months). They have a lot of really good San Diego beers, and some good NA beers too! Staff was friendly & helpful. Suggest finding street parking.”
“Fantastic food, delicious drinks, and the most welcoming staff. Everything our group of 6 ordered was outstanding and we all said we couldn’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend!”
“So welcoming ❤️ simple dinner or a drink at night next to the beach, priceless”
“Beautiful venue, fantastic and attentive staff, and amazing high-level food. Highly recommend! Having more plants dispersed through the space could warm it a bit more but other than that we wouldn’t change anything. Amazing all-around. Special thanks to our server, John C, who helped make our dinner experience there exceptional.”
“If you want top notch sandwiches and pizza made with the finest ingredients, come here! Everything is made with the utmost care and attention, no short cuts, no cheap substitutes. Service was warm and very friendly. These people take ownership and pride in their food. You won’t be disappointed. We were so impressed that I asked to meet the owner, Donato, who stopped what he was doing to come and chat. Best Italian!”
“We came for lunch the food was delicious! For appetizers we had the frying dragon roll, parmesan brussels sprouts, and mesclun mix salad with blackened ahi. Our main lunch was the chirashi. We love coming here and listening to the live music. It's so relaxing! We'll definitely come back again!”
“Fantastic sushi! Large menu, small intimate location. They have great value for rolls but you can also order very elaborate pieces a la carte. Very popular and can be busy but they take a number and call you when your table is ready! Will definitely be back!!”
“I cannot say enough great things about Ruscello. All the food is excellent, the ambience is great, but what is the best is the service. The staff is beyond incredible, everyone is so friendly and nice. When we come we literally feel like family. We are always greeted with a smile. Everyone loves this place so would highly recommend making a reservation unless you are planning to walk in right when they open. Wish I would rate them a 20/10 because this restaurant is the best, which is why we always go so frequently! Thank you Ruscello Ala Moana! See you again soon!”
“What an exceptionally wonderful place for ambience, service and food. The staff were so friendly and attentive, our sever went above and beyond to be professional and friendly. The food - steak and salad with sides was excellent. The live music - guitarist/singer was also so good and created a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend this restaurant.”
“Definitely the Hawaiian Eggs Benedict with toast, the fried ice cream. the tarot pina colada, etc... you will not be disappointed with anything you order. Also, don't get me started with the service. Plz ask for Jessica. That girl deserves a raise or a promotion.”
“This place was fantastic. Such a great variety of food and beverages on offer. It is on the 3rd floor of the building. You get to the restaurant by going up to the top of the stairs on the side of the building. I cannot recommend the yuzu chicken enough. It is super moist with crispy skin. And the yuzu sauce is super flavourful without being too tangy. I chose to just have it with a side of regular white rice. It was so Ono!! We cannot wait to go again to try other menu offerings.”
“Recommended Merriman's to my childhood friends, one of which had never been there before, and we all loved it. Food and service were great. Definitely will be back.”
“Everything was great from entering the restaurant till we left stuffed. Ventilation is great knowing how the cooking is table side. Though as entertaining as it was throughout dinner, set up leaves little opportunities for conversations cross table, but that's not you go there for. Larger parties should definitely consider the private dining area available. Overall very nice dining experience.”
“Food was amazing.full of locals. It’s upstairs and around a courier. Definitely worth going to.”
“The only thing I didn’t like were the metal chairs and the noise. Service, food, and even the wait time were incredible. (We didn’t make a reservation and they still got us in quickly.”
“Had a good time at mr ojisans neo bar and sushi. Ordered the tempura udon.....it was very delicious. I would recommend this place again. Just a side note last seating at 130 pm for lunch. They open at 5 for dinner. Great tasting food and nice portions.”
“Bianca, Katie and molding Clay were so great serving us tonight. Thank you so much for the fast service, the friendliness and overall creating a great experience for us!”
“It was a genuine privilege to watch a master at his craft. The food was fresh and delicious, uniquely prepared in front of you. The restaurant is a discrete and intimate experience with only 10 seats (6 at the counter to watch the chef).
We had the 21 piece option and it is truly worth it.”
“My family and I come here every time we visit the island at least once. They have dedicated parking, the food and beer are fantastic, and the staff is always extraordinary in their service. My two young kids split a Mac and cheese which they now demand I make when we go home... The August special and the garlic shrimp were demolished by my wife and I. Honestly the only way you can go wrong is to not come”

“Great Food with a European influence of France and Spain. Cozy atmosphere and the Chef ZZ is very talented with many years of experience. It’s a little hidden gem and has elevator parking for your car in the back of the building or you can park in the Walmart lot. I very much recommend this place.”
“OMG! The Hauoli Pastry Poi Mochisada is DA BOMB! Light & airy, slightly crispy outside. If I had known it was going to be this good, I would have bought 2 dozen. If you only buying for yourself, MAYBE 6 is enough, but I'm a big boy so a dozen would have been perfect for me. We discovered them at the Night Market at the Royal Hawaiian Golf Club and I'm so glad we did. If I ever see them elsewhere, I'm definitely buying again. Otherwise, I will have to wait for the next Night Market, but I won't make the same mistake as tonight, so gonna leave with 2 dozen!”
“We visited Aina Steak and Seafood over the Christmas holidays and were a little bit late for our reservations. Luckily, the friendly staff still saved a table for us by the open kitchen. The kitchen and the entire restaurant, including the bathrooms, were very clean. The restaurant had a different vibe from other steakhouses on the island which was very refreshing. The friendly waitress took our drink orders and gave us an overview of some of the recommendations and specials. Our waitress was very attentive and always had a smile on her face. She checked on us multiple times throughout our dining experience. We ordered: Appetizer: Oyster platter, salad (came with the steak) Sides: Truffle mashed potatoes, mushroom medley Entrees: Prime ribeye, lamb rack Dessert: Creme brulee, cheesecake The apps were fresh and delicious. The protein entrees came with these special salts and wasabi on the side. It complimented the meat well. The ribeye was just mediocre but the lamb was some of the best I have ever tasted on this island. The sides were portioned well and very tasty. Desserts was just what you would expect to end the meal with. Overall the food was very good. Now this is where the night was sort of ruined. As we were seated near the kitchen, we could overhear the cook/manager/owner(?) berating his service staff very loudly and in earshot of us customers. We were not eavesdropping, but he was so loud that we could see that this was legitimate borderline verbal abuse. I felt sorry for the female staffers that had to endure his unprofessional outbursts in the workplace. I say this as someone who has worked in every position of the restaurant field. As a manager, I have never yelled at any of my staff ever, because you as the leader must show leadership. How do you expect to manage or control your environment when you cannot control your own temper? As a waiter, I would never tolerate an authoritarian manager. I would quit right on the spot. As HR, you might have a lawsuit on your hands if you were to abuse your workers. I loved the food, but I would only come back again if another cook or manager was working instead of this man. I cannot support a business that mistreats its workers, no matter how good the food is.”
“I and a couple of other retirees discovered Pur Sina when they opened and have been weekly customers ever since. Their small kitchen limits the menu choices, but what they offer is tasty and reasonably priced. The pleasant customer-oriented staff has made it serve as a home away from home for us, and we have always felt welcomed. If/when they leave, they will be sorely missed.”

“There was a long wait for dinner when we visited, but they had an open seating section where we were able to grab a table within 10 minutes. If you are vegetarian (like us), expect the options to be limited at a seafood restaurant. However, we tried the Macadamia Nut Hummus and vegetarian Nachos and both tasted great.”
“We ate at Hula tonight for the first time and Levin took care of us! He went above and beyond and made the experience for myself, my mom and daughter absolutely wonderful. His suggestions for entrees were on point and his customer service was the best we had since arriving on the island! Thank you so much!”
“Although I had made a reservation at 7pm, I was a little disappointed that I was only able to enter the restaurant 30 minutes later, but they arranged for us a window seat, which we had requested. The food was excellent, and the wine they recommended was a delicious match.”
“Our dining experience at Morimoto Asia in Waikiki, Hawaii was exceptional! The appetizers like ribs and pork gyoza were fantastic, and the dinner choices, including fried rice, orange chicken, and the Miyazaki Wagyu certified grade 5 beef, were simply out of this world. To top it off, we enjoyed a birthday celebration with delicious doughnuts and ice cream with a beautiful chocolate decorative piece. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience! Plus: the service was amazing!”
“We had a group of 7 and they had us seated quickly. Service was excellent. Food was delicious—there are menu and bar differences based on time of day so pay attention to that. We had several of the small plates rather than an entree for each of us. The bao buns, sliders and fish tacos were excellent. My companions liked the calamari and margarita pizza. One thing-I had received a notification via open table from the restaurant that alcohol would not be served but when we arrived we found the bar was open and available to us. It would be advisable to plan parking ahead of time- parking in the zoo parking lot was full (we were there on a Saturday evening) and street parking is metered and limited however you can download the app and add more money from there. Smart Parker or something to that effect. Overall would definitely eat there again on a weekday.”
“Lunch at Mariposa is usually a good choice for a business meeting or lunch with the girls. It's convenient and view is relaxing. Audrey serviced us well and was helpful and considerate. Food was always good. Love my laksa curry! Room was little stuffy and warm. We are not sure if the windows needed to be opened for more breeze to come through. Love the location and restaurant.”

“I stumbled on this place by accident (one would have to as it's in the very back of the Market), and I ordered the takoyaki, the karaage, and the Miso ramen. I was a little worried when the karaage first came out because it was very dark and I was worried it was overcooked. It was slightly crispier than I usually prefer, but very good. The takoyaki were also excellent - the subtle extra crisp made for a delightful final product. The Miso ramen, however, was delicious! No notes, except for one to myself - don't leave the ramen until last, as the meat on top did cool down quite a bit before I started on the ramen!
Be prepared to fight for seating, and woe betide anyone that wants to bring a large group here.”
“I love the flavors, very unique and natural, very different than most gelato places in town, my fam ate here everytime we are in Waikiki, as we live locally. I never really left a review, but today I brought a friend from abroad to try a second time, and we got a 2 scoop cone that didn't even fill up... it was very sad and funny, since the 2 scoop cone was so big, and both top of the cone and inside was all hollow dried cone. We were observing the crowd and other customers with kids also got super tiny scoop! What is going on? We were not as satisfied with the changes, not sure if it has to do with the employees being untrained properly, or just cutting budget? If the gelato serving is shrinking... then don't offer big cones and cups! It will just look bad. I didn't even take a picture because it looks very sad... I will come back again eventually and hope to see some positive changes.”
“Nice building but had to park across the street. The restaurant was immaculate with appropriate lighting and ample space between tables. The menu is perfect for dining family style which was great for our group of seven adults. Our waiter seemed new, but was friendly.”
“Finally had the chance to walk over to Lahaina Tacos for lunch while my car was charging at Aloha Tower 🔋.
Mahalo for the friendly service and delicious food at a great price! I’m especially happy with their veggie options—and even more thrilled to find rice in the burrito. It really hit the spot and reminded me of the Mission burritos I’ve missed since leaving San Francisco 🌯💚”
“I treated myself on my birthday and bought their ulu banana bread and a lemon poppyseed bread that came with a blueberry compote. Everything was absolutely delicious, nicely packaged and the woman (Maile?) who helped me was very pleasant. The baked goods are pricey and I doubt I would spend that much money every week, but they use quality ingredients that are themselves expensive. I highly recommend trying the products from this bakery.”
“This place is SOOO good! Every dumpling we had was a 10 out of 10! We had 3 kinds of pan fried dumpling; shrimp/egg/chive, veggie w zucchini/pepper, and pork/napa cabbge, and a beef & onion bao. We loved it all!
It's delicious food, great price, easy free parking, and nice people. We'll be back SOON!”
“These guys take creative to a whole new level! Well done!”
