“Leon's is literally in my dreams! My boyfriend and I went there for the first time three years ago. It blew our minds! Affordable, delicious food, and such a fun atmosphere. We returned a couple of times on the same trip. We live in NJ... and set up a trip last year JUST to go to Leons. I am actually scared to post a review because I selfishly want to keep it a secret for my boyfriend and I. Man, if you like chicken and oysters... you cannot go wrong. Damn, now I need to set up another trip. :)”
“The best, freshest seafood! Best fish taco i ever put in my mouth. And love the atmosphere!”
“OMG, The food, service and overall experience was amazing. Dan and the guys behind the bar made sure it was an excellent experience. Will be going back every year on St. Patrick’s day.🍀”
“The staff was amazing. It was our anniversary and the GM personally came to our table and poured us a glass of Champaign to celebrate. They also gave us a free dessert. The hostess, wait staff, and GM all took time to wish us a happy anniversary. The food was amazing as well! Overall it was a great dining experience!”

“DOPE very well thought out menu, top notch ingredients, top to bottom an amazing experience. 10/10 wait in line it's worth it”
“The service was impeccable! Suzanne and I had one of the best experiences during our weekend in Charleston. Suzanne loved her Shrimp and Grits, and I opted for a Ribeye Sandwich. I'm glad I did as it was perfect. Suzanne's birthday brunch was enhanced by the live Gospel music lofting through the building. I could go on and on about our brunch it was that much of an experience.”

“The best place in downtown Charleston to stop for a cocktail!! Adam welcomed our group of 7 with wonderful hospitality. We tried several different cocktails from the menu including the Bourbon and Clyde(this drink is a must if you visit Charleston), Manhattan, Sazerac, Ticket to Paradise, and Running Sraight. We enjoyed our top notch cocktails with the popcorn that was gourmet. Will make Doar Bros a place to stop every time we are in Charleston!! Well done establishment!”
“One of my top 5 restaurants in Charleston. Quality and taste is EPIC and getting to chat with Kazu and Chris just makes the experience so much more intimate. Such a fantastic value for the quality and quantity of food - my main recommendation is to keep a running list of the dishes served because at the end of the meal, you get to order more of whatever you liked a la carte. If you ever get the chance for a hard to get reservation here, TAKE IT!!!!”
“Simply perfection! The oyster selection is otherworldly. The chargrilled oysters the best Ive had in my life. (Florida born an culinary chef.) The peel & eat shrimp so plump and served ice cold I have craved them since I had them. The service was above and beyond. The atmosphere encouraged private chatter but also conversation with next table easily. Friendly and cheerful and above all excellent food served with smiles, suggestions, and ease. I will never visit Charleston again without making sure to dine here. (Do not eat the soup. I actually sent it back to the kitchen. Never have I had to do that. ) Highly recommend again and again for everything else.”
“We booked this as our first Michelin Star experience for our anniversary. It surpassed all our other top favorite dining experiences. They were super kind in accommodations for our allergies. The flavors of each dish were outstanding! Thank you chef for offering this experience in Charleston. The staff and atmosphere were amazing.”

“We went for lunch, there were so many great choices! We had the Pimento Cheese for an appetizer and it did not disappoint. My friend and I shared the Chicken Tenders and Classic Vegetarian plate full of great southern veggies. Delish! The atmosphere was inviting and the service was great. Definitely highly recommend!”

“Edmund’s Original is one of our favorite restaurants in Charleston. It’s the perfect mix of quality and price, with a team that always makes us feel right at home. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Whenever someone comes to visit from out of town, we bring them to EO so they can get a taste of what we’re fortunate to enjoy regularly. The food is phenomenal - from the fried chicken to the burger to the steak, and everything in between. The beer selection is top notch. In-house developed cocktails are creative, while the classics are on point if that’s more your speed. The chocolate cake and an espresso martini are the perfect touch to finish it all off! Oh, and don’t sleep on the special events they host! When the chef teams up with other chef’s from around the state, they always deliver a unique and delicious experience!”

“Exactly what Charleston’s been missing. Creative menu- did someone say Burrata? I have tried most things on the menu and truly loved it all, although the Bass is still my #1. So fresh, tender, just melts in your mouth. So much flavor in every bite. Cocktails are innovative and right on point. And don’t sleep on the desserts- Midnight Snack with Fruity Pebbles.. trust me.. 🤤”

“Very cozy and comfortable. The staff is friendly and welcoming. You feel like it's home. The food was mouth-watering, with a variety of flavors, you are able to taste each spice. We tried the lamb (Yassa) and snapper. Lamb was rich, savory, and warm. The snapper was cooked to perfection...flaky, with a crisp on the outside, and seasoned to perfection. All side dishes paired well and the Fritters (appetizer) was also amazing. Be sure to try the fresh juices. We tried pineapple/ginger and passion fruit. Mm mm mmmm!”
“literally everything we had here tonight was fantastic. the calamari strips are some of the best calamari I have ever had. the drinks were wonderful. I had this seard fish with the succotash which was so good. my boyfriend had the pot roast melt and loved it. the owner was absolutely fantastic. we will definitely be back repeatedly!”
“My date was sick and couldn't keep our brunch date. Since it was a new decade birthday for me, I went alone and had a wonderful time!! I sat in a bar booth and had fun interacting with the very interesting, knowledgeable server, who also was an adventurous cook at home. I sampled new things and compared dishes with other diners as they were leaving. It is my new favorite restaurant in Charleston! The interior is pretty, cheerful and bright. The oyster / bone marrow was elegant. So many good dishes. Their sister restaurant, The James, is also wonderful! It's not as upscale, but delicious, non-the-less! Somebody is doing something right!!”
“Hipster joint in the North King area. Hipster who handed us menu’s at the bar “We’re a Rum forward bar”. Absolutely need the oyster sliders in your life. We had 6 between the two of us.”

“We only stayed here 1 day but we really enjoyed ourselves. The Staff is excellent and very friendly and honest. We checked out in a hurry and I left my wallet in the room. It was returned to me via express mail after they called me to let me know . I didn't even realize at that point it was missing. Edwin was a great help. Everyone there was super nice. The courtyard is an awesome hang out spot, great drinks.👍👍😁”

Takeout Restaurants
“I absolutely love this place. The baked goods are truly upscale—beautifully made, consistently delicious, and clearly crafted with care. The service is warm and thoughtful, and the atmosphere is calm and inviting. I also deeply respect Welton’s values and political stance and support them wholeheartedly. A place that does things the right way—through and through.”
“Besides the food quality being 1000000%, the owners/sandwich slingers are amazing at their craft and truly take the time and care to ensure an amazing feasting experience. From the food & drink selection all the way down to the playful names for each sandwich (and the hilarious art in the bathrooms) the total vibe is 💯 ❤️ 10/10 recommend. Support your local sandwich master!”
“I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! Although we didn’t have a reservation, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large party and quickly arranged a lovely table for our group. When we asked for recommendations, our waiter suggested a family-style three-course meal, and we couldn’t be happier with his suggestion! Each course was beautifully presented, and simply delicious. From appetizers to desserts, every dish was crafted with care and creativity. It was a wonderful way to experience the menu and share in the joy of great food together. If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and dine here—you won’t regret it! Thank you for an amazing experience; I can’t wait to return!”
“Always a pleasure to visit Beautiful South. The staff is all friendly, attentive, and accommodating. And the space is inviting and alive. The dining area has a more cozy section with booths and a buzzier section with small tables, but we always enjoy the spaceous bar, where Johnathan and Gabriel make excellent drinks (on and off menu) and are genuinely hospitable fellas. All of the food is cooked with care, good luck trying to decide what to eat without doing a complete tour de force of the menu. Beef dumplings are extremely flavorful, don't be scared of the rose water - it's just a hint but a unique and memorable one. The green beans are good enough to eat a popcorn bucket full. And the Hunan chicken is unctuous and saucy and just delicious. Did I mention there is plenty of convenient parking? What more do you want?”
“Had a fish sandwich. Collard greens, slaw, fried oysters, and calamari. Outstanding. Collards off the chart. Service even better. 15/10 recommend.”
“Food was amazing! Had the crab cake stuffed grouper. Hush puppies were awesome. Clifton our waiter was the best!”

“The atmosphere and aesthetic at The Living Room are simply impeccable — that perfect blend of mid-century modern and classic Charleston sophistication. It’s one of those spaces that just feels good to be in.
I’ve been here many times for cocktails, and they always knock it out of the park. Thoughtful, balanced drinks served with real skill — consistently excellent.
On my most recent visit, I stopped in for lunch and was genuinely surprised by how good the food was. I already have high expectations, and this exceeded them. The brunch we had would easily rival (and frankly outperform) many of the top dinner menus in Charleston. Beautifully prepared, flavorful, and refined without being fussy.
It’s rare to find a place that nails both ambiance and execution across the board, but The Living Room does exactly that. Highly recommended.

“What a great find! This spot is a bit tricky to locate—you might walk right past it thinking it's a hotel or apartment—but once you step inside, it's a truly nice place with excellent food.
The menu is full of winners. The pasta is all made fresh in-house, and we absolutely loved the sausage and rigatoni; it had great flavor! The beef carpaccio was very delicious, and we almost ordered a second plate! To top it off, the cocktail with the cucumber was made perfectly and was wonderfully refreshing.
We did order the burger but the food took so long we got full on the prior small bites so we were able to cancel it as it did not make it to get cooked.
Also the celery salad is a must try. It was delicious. Did not know what to expect but definitely was good.
We ordered the oysters, and while they were super fresh, they were a bit saltier than the sweeter oysters I prefer, but they were still good overall. We were thoroughly impressed and will be back again for sure!”
“We had the most amazing night celebrating our 10th anniversary. The entire team went above and beyond and we left feeling so filled with joy—and OUTSTANDING food. Flavors that we never will forget and memories for a lifetime. WC team, thank you for making our first night in Charleston one we will never forget.”
“We had a lovely dinner at The James. I have a restricted diet and they wendy out if their way to make sure I was accommodated. There were 4 of us and everyone enjoyed our evening. Our server, Jessica was first class as were everyone we came in contact with. Would highly recommend The James.”
“I asked my fiancé to find a nice coffee shop that also sells beer in Charleston. After her google search, she asked our friends at The Lucky Luchador and they also recommended your establishment. I was definitely impressed with the atmosphere and selection of beer that was available. I will be coming back soon and will be your ugliest ambassador!!! 😊”
“Ordered the tennis anyone cocktail and ceviche tacos - both were fantastic. That said, I ordered the ceviche tacos for lunch - they were under the shareable section of the menu. I was thinking there would be 2 normal size tacos. When they arrived I nearly spit my drink across the table because I was laughing so hard. There were 3 teeny tiny tacos. Delicious tacos but think a heads up that they are baby tacos would have been useful. Left with my stomach empty but heart full thanks to the view and delicious cocktail.”
“Vern’s Restaurant in downtown Charleston truly exceeded our expectations and left us with an unforgettable dining experience. The food was exceptional—quite possibly the best meal we have ever had.”

“We attended Raw Lab for the first time last night, we booked four seats for a company Christmas party and the sad thing is, we will never be able to top last night’s experience for the remainder of Christmas parties in our company’s future.
To describe the night in a word, I would say incredible. The food was delicious, wines paired extremely well, and the service was a blast. You can tell how much Kevin and sandy enjoy getting to do what they do.
Sadly, we will never be able to go back because it is closing, but we will be on the hunt for the next city Kevin opens in and will travel to do it again!
Kevin thank you so much, and I hope your future endeavors outshine what you’ve done in Charleston.”
“I found out about Southbound, through my job. I had to go do some work there, and found the owner and everyone there, super friendly. Most people at restaurants ignore working people while they are there. As my 42nd anniversary was quickly approaching, I decided to give this place a try. Some of my past picks, have not been the best. Southbound cleared EVERY hurdle I have about restaurants. From the moment we approached the restaurant, great service began! While coming thru the gate, the hostess yelled out, "HEY LARRY" and then said, "This must be your beautiful wife"! Like CHEERS, it felt great to go somewhere, "Where everybody knows your name" We were seated and got to view the open fire oven. I had dropped off 42 roses the week before for them to put on our table, for my wife. Tropical storm Debbie, and downtown flooding prevented us from going exactly on our anniversary. I was worried that store bought roses, would not last thru the weeklong delay, Joel assured me everything would be taken care of, and not to worry. As we were seated, there on the table, sat 42 roses. Fresh, and arranged with baby breath flowers included. I was told the young lady with the hostess had arranged them. They were gorgeous! They also had an anniversary card on the table from them, not something I had dropped off. The service was tremendous, the food indescribably outstanding! I have only had steak Tar Tar once before in my life, and was greatly afraid to try it again, as the first time was awful. It was superb! They take great pride in the presentation of their food products. I felt like I was in an episode of Master Chef. We had the steak, as well as the Sea bass, okra, corn, sweet potatoes, and the Caramel cake. Everything absolutely wonderful! This was a truly wonderful and memorable dining experience!! I would give 100 stars, and a Siskel and Ebert two thumbs up! There was only one thing I was disappointed about. No sweet tea! Were In Charleston SC, no sweet tea. Everything else totally made up for it though. The staff even had everyone present sign a menu, wishing us a happy anniversry1 I will most definatly go there again for a special occasion. Thanks to Andrew, Joel, and the entire staff, for making this night special!!”
“We loved this restaurant. It specializes in beef entrees but also had a large selection of seafood, which is what we had. Our food was perfectly prepared and flavorful. The wine list was extensive with some of our favorite wines. Our waiter was professional and attentive. We loved the artwork on the walls and we never felt rushed. If there is any downside at all, it would be that the restaurant is not inexpensive. But again, we loved the restaurant and would highly recommend it.”
“The food was excellentellent and the atmosphere was great. Was a great dining experience for our mother-daughter trip to Charleston”
“When you go sit at the kitchen counter. Loved watching the cooks.”

“I have a long, productive day where I celebrating accepting a new job with CPI Security and hanging out with Dad today who lives adlund the corner on Society. Both my parents came here back in the 60's. It was phenomenal and very enjoyable! They staff killer - very friendly. Also, I'm a former craft cocktail bartender with a fairly refined palette and that Manhattan was fire! 🔥✌🏼”
“Make sure you get here before 12pm or he will sell out. Sandwich’s rotate every day so there’s always something new to try. If you check his Instagram you can usually check to see if he is open because Ive showed up plenty of times to find out that he was not open that day. These are exotic sandwiches so don’t show up if your a Plain Jane”
“Amazing food! My family and I went here yesterday during our trip to Myrtle Beach based on some recommendations I saw online...and this place exceeded all expectations!! All of us were beyond satisfied with our meals. Delicious flavors and good portion sizes too! We said we will come back to Myrtle Beach (from PA) just to come back here 😂. Great service, nice atmosphere, and the food is absolutely amazing! We wanted to get photos of our meals but we were so excited to dig in when it came out that we forgot all about photos! Go check this place out and see for yourself.”
“Had to check this place out. Read about them in the local City Paper. The sandwich options are plentiful, atmosphere cozy and the staff are very friendly. The sandwiches though 😳. You won’t disappointed. Glad we’ll have “The Pass” in Mt. Pleasant soon.
Three thumbs up and 5 Stars from the Mrs. and me :)”
“The porcini rubbed prime rib sandwich is without a doubt one of the best sandwiches I have ever had in Charleston. I have been trying to get by this place for a couple of weeks and I am glad that I did. I compared this sandwich against my other favorite in Charleston, which was a steak sandwich from Fugazi… Only to find out that they own that restaurant as well. Absolutely fantastic sandwich will become a regular here and I will recommend you to everybody. Capt. Paul”
“I have no clue on who the owners are, but I can tell you that all of their food is made with Love ❤️. You can see it and you can taste it. Everything I have ever had has always been so delicious. This place is a Charleston Gem and I pray this little place continues to Thrive and Prosper. Charleston Loves You❤️❤️”

“Dinner was very good & everyone was so very nice. Had reservations & they seated us at 5. It was Mothers Day& graduation week so they were really busy BUT no one made us feel rushed. We will definitely come back..”

“Still our favorite takeout spot! The chicken garlic noodles are amazing—always delicious! Don't miss out on the KFC wings and General Gerry's chicken, which are likely even crispier in person. The trip from downtown to Mount Pleasant is totally worth it!”
“This is a MUST!! It’s like a beautiful art museum as soon as you enter, beautiful exhibits!! It’s definitely a VIBE, mature crowd and the food was delicious!”

“Fantastic atmosphere. Saturday brunch with Beth, server as pleasant as con be. Highly recommend Shrimp and grits with Bloody Mary. A must when visiting Savannah.”
“Fabulous. And if you're impatient, the sro.. best service in the house!”
“The best, freshest seafood! Best fish taco i ever put in my mouth. And love the atmosphere!”
“I have mixed feelings. Our first visit was over a decade ago and it was wonderful. Our anniversary was yesterday and it was an ok experience. We sat in the courtyard AB’s was placed under the above heater. We started smelling gas and the heat never reached the table area. So we were freezing. The appetizers were wonderful. The couple got seated next to us ten minutes after us and received their food first. Was told about different and best food options and a dessert menu. We were not given either. Bbq in the shrimp and grits was over powering any other flavor. Husband got fish and grits and it was excellent. Not a 0 but I’m in no hurry to go back or recommend to anyone else. Ruined my anniversary to be honest….”
“We had our Christmas Day meal at Poogan's Porch and it was delicious! The service was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was very good. They did not server their standard menu as it was Christmas. I had the Fritters, Beef Loin, and Banana Pudding. My dining partner had the She Crab Soup, Turkey Platter, and Pecan Pie. She said it was by far the best She Crab she has ever had and the Turkey was moist and delicious (tough to do with all white meat). My fritters were one of the best bites I have ever had. The Bacon Jam really made the dish shine. The beef loin was very classic Christmas and was fantastic. Banana pudding was one of the better I have ever had. We went back on Saturday to get one togo! Looking forward on trying Poogan's Porch again soon. We want to try the brunch menu! This place gets very busy and is in a super cute, but very old house. I would recommend reservations.”

“Best seafood ever and I don’t particularly like seafood, but this was exceptional”
“8 oz filet was perfect. Not crazy about the fries, but thats just me, they are coated if you like that type of fries. Ribeye was delicious and the greens were very good. Meat is seasoned perfectly. Will definitely go back”

“Always amazing!! Cooking class with Chef Tyler was so fun!! Zero George is our go to in Charleston!”
“Came for lunch today and the food, service and portions were great! Highly recommend the Buttermilk Catfish Sandwich with the sauce that comes with truffle fries instead of mayo!”
“Some gal pals and I went here the other month and from start to finish it was an absolute delight. As a seasoned veteran of sampling culinary delights I have got to admit it was one of the best meals and experiences of my days. Absolutely no notes.”

“My family celebrated my niece’s 21st birthday with you this past Monday (I missed out due to illness) and did nothing but rave about not only the food but the service! The staff individually and personally signed a birthday card for my niece, had a special dessert for her and a small gift and treated her and the rest of my family extremely well! They said the food was amazing! I am so disappointed I had to miss out but plan on making a trip to your wonderful restaurant the next time we visit Charleston!”

“Had a great experience and stay… we enjoyed our time at the pool bar. Bartenders were very engaging and friendly.. great group and they make great drinks. Cozy and quaint.. just wish they played music around pool and not just on the bar side.”
“Went to Charleston to celebrate ? my husband's birthday. Learned about the Forte and it was a great way to finish off our day with glasses of wine and delicious live music. Each musician was so incredibly seasoned and delightful to listen to. Thank you!”
“A great spot to check out if you’re looking for a nice place to hang out at night on King Street. The staff are super friendly and provide excellent service. Big thanks to Rachel for making such a delicious cocktail! ❤️”
“The food, service and all at this restaurant was beyond excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“The restaurant interior is elegant and intimate. The lunch menu reasonable priced and delicious. The service cortious and appropriately not in the foreground. If you like Vietnamese food I highly recommend trying it out.”
“Great place to get out of the hot weather, everything was amazing! The staff went above and beyond! If I’m ever back down in SC I’ll be coming in again”

“We visit Le Farfalle every time we visit Charleston, as it is a tradition for me and my son. We love the food and the atmosphere. We can’t wait to have many more trips together to enjoy there.”
“We had a fantastic meal at Tempest last night! The wedge salad was prepared differently than the typical wedge and it was delicious! We had pasta both bolognese and cacio e Pepe and both were fabulous! Our daughter had steak frite which was prepared perfectly and was tender and flavorful. Dessert and cocktails were also delicious. Out server was wonderful and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I loved that it was not loud so we could hear each other. This was our first time there and we're already planning to return with friends soon!”
“😊Good food, and cool atmosphere. I only wish the bar seats were taller.”
“While my wife and I only partook of wine/cheese, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and recommend this quaint and well-adorned shop...perhaps as a respite while window-shopping.”
“Great food! We came for lunch and ordered the combo meal. It was a good price and generous portion! Everything tasted amazing! The salsa is a cooked salsa where the peppers and tomatoes are roasted giving great flavors! Nice cozy atmosphere with friendly staff.”
“Jenn was the best waitress I have ever had and I go to restaurants for fun. She was caring and was passionate! The buffalo Brussels sprouts were amazing and the shrimp Gnocchi was to die for!!! 10/10 would recommend and ask for Jenn!!!”
“Amazing food, atmosphere and staff! Sushi and cocktails were phenomenal!”

“We stumbled upon Wine & Company while visiting Charleston. The staff was Amazing - knowledgeable about the wines and very welcoming. We returned for a second day because we really enjoyed the wine and the atmosphere. If you love good wine and a laid back atmosphere, it is worth checking out.”
“An entertaining chef, creative and exceptionally well-executed cuisine, a pleasingly funky ambience, and the delight at watching a fine chef at work, which equals a terrific experience.”
“Amazing food and spectacular service from Kat! Highly recommend the pub burger and truffle fries. The tuna poke is excellent as well! You can’t miss this place when in Charleston!”

“Stopped by on a whim. Excellent drinks, good food. Corn bread WONDERFUL surprise.”
“I have never had anything less than a 5 star experience at Bar George. The menu, delicious. The cocktails, creative. The vibes, high. Spencer is awesome, he’s very attentive and a great conversationalist. Extra bonus, he never lets empty plates or drinks sit for a while on the bar which I appreciate! Knows the menu very well and can point you in the direction of what you’re looking for. Not to mention the creative, funky decor that definitely adds to the high vibes. Definitely check them out if you haven’t yet!”

“Visiting Charleston,SC, needed something filling . Found New York Pizza on East Bay Street. The young lady April who took my order over the phone was wonderful. She was most helpful in suggesting the amount and toppings. My mobility issues allowed me to go to the Lobby and receive my Pizza. Leo brought it to the desk, he was very nice, appreciative and caring. April and Leo are great employees to have, they accommodate others issues and make it happen. I am most grateful and thankful. My Pizza,Side Salad, Strawberry Lemonade mad the difference also. Thank you again and again April and Leo.”
“We come to Kiawah Island for many years. One of our high high Lights is dining at Aji. We are from New Jersey and had the pleasure of having dined with on the delicacies created by Tim at our local sushi restaurant and are jealous that folks in Charleston have access to this great restaurant. We look forward to returning later in the year.”
“I was lucky to stumble upon Dellzville while in Charleston. I pre-0rderd their Harvest Feast for Thanksgiving. It was by far one of the best vegan meals I have had!! I didn’t feel like I was lacking anything with the rest of my family filling up on their traditional meal. PS..mine looked and tasted better! My only regret is that I should have ordered a second platter for leftovers.”
“This place is a super gem. After trying other Pho places, I found this one to be best. The chef sat down with me and explained how she makes the broths from scratch (no MSG!) Portions are huge with very fresh meats and vegetables. The pho is served with a side plate of limes, cilantro and/or basil and bean sprouts. The place is clean and the staff is great. Love, love this place!”
“My Bride and I visit here at least once a week. She eats wings and I get my weekly fish or shrimp. The food is great and consistent. I alternate between the fried chips and onion rings. Service is always top notch. In three years only one miscue, and it was fixed immediately! It’s great to have a local place that you can depend on! 👍🏻”
“First time visit recommended by nephew. Great food, great server and prompt service. Always try to be considerate in not overstaying our welcome when people are waiting to be seated. We finished our lunch having been there a total of one hour , enjoying talk with nephew who we hadn’t seen in months when another employee rudely and abruptly said “so, are you ready to settle up?” Never have we felt like we were being ejected from a restaurant! And the real rub is there were at least 3 empty tables and a booth in our seating area. We three were so stunned by her rude manners, we politely gave her our card, (and she took the liberty of pre-selecting a 22% tip which we gladly gave our server)paid our bill and left - NEVER TO RETURN!”

“We were given a tip on this restaurant. While tough to get a table it was quickly obvious why. We had the rabbit roulade and the steak w wild mushrooms, but just as good as the main courses were the lamb dumpling appetizers. It was also a beautiful, refined atmosphere with top notice service.”
“We are so glad we learned of and chose to dine here while visiting Charleston. This Brasserie had a wonderful “neighborhood restaurant” feel and the food, drinks, and staff were excellent. Our server, Maddie, was engaging and attentive to the perfect degree. And the speakeasy downstairs was an unexpected and fun bonus. Thanks for a lovely evening”

“Sooo I arrived with a party of four to enjoy a wonderful glass of wine. But they didn't have anything to serve me that I like to drink, and sure enough the beverage manager over both bars came in and saved the day. She is amazing! Her name is Haley! She hooked us up with beverages we loved. She is the bar manager imagine that! Amazing! Thank you Haley .”
“my husband and I are visiting Charleston for a month from NYC. We love getting fresh sourdough and in NY, there are incredible bakeries on every street. But I'm telling you, the sourdough at Grit is next level. Honestly some of the best I've ever had (outside of France). I also love that they'll handslice it for you. I haven't tried their pastries yet but I'm sure they're also incredible. Love this place.”
“S/O to Kiavon for providing excellent service to me and my family!! His energy is out of this world and he knows his stuff! Definitely will be coming back to see him again really soon!! Thank you Kiavon and thank you Zack’s Daqs for having such an amazing staff!”
“Tucked away behind an unassuming facade, this spot is pure Charleston magic. Dim lighting, impeccable cocktails, and lowcountry charm create an unforgettable experience. The thoughtfully crafted drinks and a whispering vibe make you feel part of a well-kept secret. A true hidden gem—if you know, you know.”
“The crust burger was amazing and the service was truly amazing. the food was made delicious to order. we also got soft serve ice cream with a handheld warm apple pie which was literally the icing on the cake! the GM Tyler was wonderful and the kitchen manager was super sweet! can't wait to go back”
“I just wanna hands down give this restaurant the best review I can give because they absolutely deserve it. I work as a chef downtown here and I’ve never had such a welcoming atmosphere. My daughter had turned 15th today and had to put together last minute plans because I worked today and they really helped with the celebration. Desserts were utterly tasteful and Sophia was an amazing server, even had everyone in the restaurant sign a birthday card for Ameriana’s bday, I can’t thank you enough for your hospitality. I will definitely be coming back soon! Happy New Years!!!!!”
“One of our favorite restaurants in Charleston now! Madison, the hostess, makes you feel at home! So welcoming and sweet. Truly a treasure.
Bennet was a wonderful server. Great suggestions and so personable.
The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere lovely.
We came once for a girls trip a few weeks ago and knew we had to come back with our husbands when we were passing through town this week. It’s a can’t miss spot. Cannot recommend enough!”
