“OMG, The food, service and overall experience was amazing. Dan and the guys behind the bar made sure it was an excellent experience. Will be going back every year on St. Patrick’s day.🍀”
“The best, freshest seafood! Best fish taco i ever put in my mouth. And love the atmosphere!”
“Leon's is literally in my dreams! My boyfriend and I went there for the first time three years ago. It blew our minds! Affordable, delicious food, and such a fun atmosphere. We returned a couple of times on the same trip. We live in NJ... and set up a trip last year JUST to go to Leons. I am actually scared to post a review because I selfishly want to keep it a secret for my boyfriend and I. Man, if you like chicken and oysters... you cannot go wrong. Damn, now I need to set up another trip. :)”

“We had the most amazing night celebrating our 10th anniversary. The entire team went above and beyond and we left feeling so filled with joy—and OUTSTANDING food. Flavors that we never will forget and memories for a lifetime. WC team, thank you for making our first night in Charleston one we will never forget.”

“One of my top 5 restaurants in Charleston. Quality and taste is EPIC and getting to chat with Kazu and Chris just makes the experience so much more intimate. Such a fantastic value for the quality and quantity of food - my main recommendation is to keep a running list of the dishes served because at the end of the meal, you get to order more of whatever you liked a la carte. If you ever get the chance for a hard to get reservation here, TAKE IT!!!!”
“The service was impeccable! Suzanne and I had one of the best experiences during our weekend in Charleston. Suzanne loved her Shrimp and Grits, and I opted for a Ribeye Sandwich. I'm glad I did as it was perfect. Suzanne's birthday brunch was enhanced by the live Gospel music lofting through the building. I could go on and on about our brunch it was that much of an experience.”
“The staff was amazing. It was our anniversary and the GM personally came to our table and poured us a glass of Champaign to celebrate. They also gave us a free dessert. The hostess, wait staff, and GM all took time to wish us a happy anniversary. The food was amazing as well! Overall it was a great dining experience!”

“Simply perfection! The oyster selection is otherworldly. The chargrilled oysters the best Ive had in my life. (Florida born an culinary chef.) The peel & eat shrimp so plump and served ice cold I have craved them since I had them. The service was above and beyond. The atmosphere encouraged private chatter but also conversation with next table easily. Friendly and cheerful and above all excellent food served with smiles, suggestions, and ease. I will never visit Charleston again without making sure to dine here. (Do not eat the soup. I actually sent it back to the kitchen. Never have I had to do that. ) Highly recommend again and again for everything else.”
“Me and my daughter had been traveling all night (and looked like we had been). We stopped here because we were starving and needed to kill time until we could check into our hotel. The staff was so friendly to us. I felt like we were under dressed (it was Easter) but no one seemed to judge us for it. As for the food - amazing!!!!! I got the fried artichoke sandwich and it was sooooo good. The fries were also very good. This place has such a good vibe. I wish we were in town longer so we could enjoy it again.”
“I gotta tell you first off, I am a picky eater. Constantly telling people to leave stuff out of the dish so I can consume it with out fear. However, here at Kwei Fei I ate almost everything. It was all delicious and spicy and I couldnt get enough! Super friendly staff and drinks that compliment the food very well. Sat outside on the covered patio. Was a wonderful experience.”
“Edmund’s Original is one of our favorite restaurants in Charleston. It’s the perfect mix of quality and price, with a team that always makes us feel right at home. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Whenever someone comes to visit from out of town, we bring them to EO so they can get a taste of what we’re fortunate to enjoy regularly. The food is phenomenal - from the fried chicken to the burger to the steak, and everything in between. The beer selection is top notch. In-house developed cocktails are creative, while the classics are on point if that’s more your speed. The chocolate cake and an espresso martini are the perfect touch to finish it all off! Oh, and don’t sleep on the special events they host! When the chef teams up with other chef’s from around the state, they always deliver a unique and delicious experience!”
“I would give the harlow 6 out if 5 stars if I could! From the service to the menu, the multiple oyster choices, the happy hours, the many specials, quality of the drinks, the happy, personable culture of the staff, the many heat lamps keeping the little outdoor garden oasis toasty and cozy, and the staff has nearly no turnover, and lots of Charleston restaurants have stupendous food, but what makes the harlow stand alone as a best of the best, is an obvious comeraderie amongst them coupled with the tastiest crab Mac n cheese in the universe along with their other delicious fare!”
“Was what we expected. Pricey food and drinks, but you essentially pay for the views and service; both of which were excellent.
Note: get a reservation online ahead of time. Also, you don't have to get a table outside. It's comfortable inside at the bar, and you still get views.”

“We went for lunch, there were so many great choices! We had the Pimento Cheese for an appetizer and it did not disappoint. My friend and I shared the Chicken Tenders and Classic Vegetarian plate full of great southern veggies. Delish! The atmosphere was inviting and the service was great. Definitely highly recommend!”
“Food made with love and care. I've been wanting to come here for a couple of years. Finally got the chance and it delivered in every best way.
You really can't go wrong here with this menu but my suggestion would be to just lean into things that you wouldn't normally have. Like I'm sure the mafé is fantastic but it's not often that I can have egusi with fufu.
The juices were also fantastic, as was the service and environment. Next time I'm in Charleston, I hope to visit again.”
“What an amazing place! Went without reservations..told them it was my 70th birthday! Got a great table for 2 in back dining room…food was amazing! Our waiter Brian was the best! When I was disappointed that the didn’t have an apple dessert I wanted he had someone go across the street to get me one with a candle on it! And Josh brought us a glass of champagne… they didn’t know us …just met us.. and treated us to make my night extra special! Try High Cotton you will love it! ( we had the Filet and crab cakes)”
“Exactly what Charleston’s been missing. Creative menu- did someone say Burrata? I have tried most things on the menu and truly loved it all, although the Bass is still my #1. So fresh, tender, just melts in your mouth. So much flavor in every bite. Cocktails are innovative and right on point. And don’t sleep on the desserts- Midnight Snack with Fruity Pebbles.. trust me.. 🤤”
“Extremely talented bartenders. Very fine artisan cocktails. My favorite cocktail bar in Charleston. Enjoyed the “salty dog” and “all blue.” Will absolutely be back!”

“We only stayed here 1 day but we really enjoyed ourselves. The Staff is excellent and very friendly and honest. We checked out in a hurry and I left my wallet in the room. It was returned to me via express mail after they called me to let me know . I didn't even realize at that point it was missing. Edwin was a great help. Everyone there was super nice. The courtyard is an awesome hang out spot, great drinks.👍👍😁”
“I had an amazing recent experience thanks to Anthony he was very professional, kind, and helpful in taking our orders and getting our food to us. He took our order with the upmost care and humor as well. You can tell he truly loves his job and values the customers. I definitely will be back to this location. The food was hot and fresh.”
“Exceptional wine selections in self serve machines and an owner that is extremely knowledgeable about wines throughout the world! Great service and a wonderful positive vibe. I can't wait to go back!”

Takeout Restaurants
“We had an amazing experience here. We went on a Wednesday morning. Short wait time. We got the blueberry kolache, dark chocolate croissant, and the cardamom sugar kouign amann. We also got the toasted croissant latte to drink. All pastries were 5/5 stars. My favorite was the kouign amann and my fiancés favorite was the blueberry. The pastries were flaky and fresh. The latte was very unique and flavorful. I like how they incorporate the croissants into the flavor. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area. One of the best bakeries we’ve been to and plan to recommend to our wedding guests in the fall.”

“literally everything we had here tonight was fantastic. the calamari strips are some of the best calamari I have ever had. the drinks were wonderful. I had this seard fish with the succotash which was so good. my boyfriend had the pot roast melt and loved it. the owner was absolutely fantastic. we will definitely be back repeatedly!”
“I have mixed feelings. Our first visit was over a decade ago and it was wonderful. Our anniversary was yesterday and it was an ok experience. We sat in the courtyard AB’s was placed under the above heater. We started smelling gas and the heat never reached the table area. So we were freezing. The appetizers were wonderful. The couple got seated next to us ten minutes after us and received their food first. Was told about different and best food options and a dessert menu. We were not given either. Bbq in the shrimp and grits was over powering any other flavor. Husband got fish and grits and it was excellent. Not a 0 but I’m in no hurry to go back or recommend to anyone else. Ruined my anniversary to be honest….”
“Super cute coffee shop! The barista who helped me offered recommendations and I ended up trying the whipped honey espresso. Absolutely delicious, light and sweet with just the right amount of caffeine for an afternoon pick-me-up. Although it was pretty busy there was still enough seating to find a spot inside or outside.”
“Stepped out of our typical places to eat to try Azur and we were really impressed. Food, drinks, and service were all top tier. Pedro and Chris were great bartenders who made sure our experience was absolutely excellent.”

“Dining at Living Room at The Dewberry is less about simply having a meal and more about experiencing Charleston hospitality at an elevated level. From the moment you enter, the atmosphere feels intentional, refined, and remarkably calm, making it one of the most inviting dining spaces in Charleston.
What immediately stood out was the balance between sophistication and comfort. The lighting, seating arrangements, textures, and overall pacing of the environment create a space that encourages conversation, relaxation, and presence. It feels luxurious without ever becoming overwhelming or performative.
The food and cocktails were beautifully prepared, thoughtfully presented, and aligned perfectly with the atmosphere of the property itself. Every detail, from service timing to presentation, felt polished and consistent.
What many people may overlook is how well the Living Room transitions throughout the day. During daylight hours, the space feels airy and restorative, while evenings settle into a richer, more intimate atmosphere that works beautifully for date nights, executive meetings, wedding weekends, and quiet gatherings alike.
As someone who works within photography and hospitality environments professionally, I pay close attention to atmosphere, guest experience, and presentation, and The Dewberry continues to execute all three exceptionally well.
For anyone searching for one of the best luxury dining and cocktail experiences in Charleston, South Carolina, the Living Room at The Dewberry is absolutely worth experiencing.

“My date was sick and couldn't keep our brunch date. Since it was a new decade birthday for me, I went alone and had a wonderful time!! I sat in a bar booth and had fun interacting with the very interesting, knowledgeable server, who also was an adventurous cook at home. I sampled new things and compared dishes with other diners as they were leaving. It is my new favorite restaurant in Charleston! The interior is pretty, cheerful and bright. The oyster / bone marrow was elegant. So many good dishes. Their sister restaurant, The James, is also wonderful! It's not as upscale, but delicious, non-the-less! Somebody is doing something right!!”
“We had a lovely dinner at The James. I have a restricted diet and they wendy out if their way to make sure I was accommodated. There were 4 of us and everyone enjoyed our evening. Our server, Jessica was first class as were everyone we came in contact with. Would highly recommend The James.”
“One of my favorite bars. The annex is a true 5/5 must see when in Charleston. I hate going to bars and looking at a cocktail menu and having to choose. Here, I literally just say what I’m in the mood for and get an awesome drink I have never heard of! Service was amazing and the atmosphere is top notch.”
“I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! Although we didn’t have a reservation, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large party and quickly arranged a lovely table for our group. When we asked for recommendations, our waiter suggested a family-style three-course meal, and we couldn’t be happier with his suggestion! Each course was beautifully presented, and simply delicious. From appetizers to desserts, every dish was crafted with care and creativity. It was a wonderful way to experience the menu and share in the joy of great food together. If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and dine here—you won’t regret it! Thank you for an amazing experience; I can’t wait to return!”
“This food was absolutely amazing! I split the scallion oil noodles with my friend (who is non-vegan and from China) and she was really impressed with how authentic the dish was. The portions of king pao mushrooms and general tso’s tofu were great too; I ended up with enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Updated from previous review on 2026-03-23”
“We're from Louisville so we're used to southern hospitality and charm. Hyman's were above and beyond. Genuinely amazingly friendly and hospitable. The gm was on the floor, as I understand he is most nights, and personally came by and personally thanked us for coming in and choosing them. The service was fantastic and the food was great. They have an extensive menu and 4 different fresh fish on the menu that can all be prepared almost any way you want. fried, broiled, Cajun, scampi, jerk. Choose whatever you want. The hush puppies are fantastic and everything was well presented and well cooked. Pricing is very reasonable but not cheap, nor should it be for the quality of food and the exceptional service. Meals were about 25 to 30 bucks a person. That's pretty typical for a slightly higher end experience in most Midwestern towns and far far cheaper then the 40 to 50 a person you would pay at a more say "exclusive" restaurants. If you want posh elegance that's not what they offer. If you want great food, amazing hospitality, reasonable prices, and straightforward seafood you'll regret it if you don't visit Hyman's at least once during your time in Charleston. It's located right down by the old market, so spend the day/afternoon walking the battery and shopping the market, and then stop in for an excellent dinner. Expect about a 45 min to 1 hour wait. Since it's literally 3 min from the market you can put your name in and then browse the market. There is a convenient public parking garage about 4 minutes walk away. Thanks for the hospitality!!! Most friendly dining experience my family has had in years!”
“Had brunch today. Food was good. The chicken and waffle was really tasty.”
“Had a fish sandwich. Collard greens, slaw, fried oysters, and calamari. Outstanding. Collards off the chart. Service even better. 15/10 recommend.”

“I found out about Southbound, through my job. I had to go do some work there, and found the owner and everyone there, super friendly. Most people at restaurants ignore working people while they are there. As my 42nd anniversary was quickly approaching, I decided to give this place a try. Some of my past picks, have not been the best. Southbound cleared EVERY hurdle I have about restaurants. From the moment we approached the restaurant, great service began! While coming thru the gate, the hostess yelled out, "HEY LARRY" and then said, "This must be your beautiful wife"! Like CHEERS, it felt great to go somewhere, "Where everybody knows your name" We were seated and got to view the open fire oven. I had dropped off 42 roses the week before for them to put on our table, for my wife. Tropical storm Debbie, and downtown flooding prevented us from going exactly on our anniversary. I was worried that store bought roses, would not last thru the weeklong delay, Joel assured me everything would be taken care of, and not to worry. As we were seated, there on the table, sat 42 roses. Fresh, and arranged with baby breath flowers included. I was told the young lady with the hostess had arranged them. They were gorgeous! They also had an anniversary card on the table from them, not something I had dropped off. The service was tremendous, the food indescribably outstanding! I have only had steak Tar Tar once before in my life, and was greatly afraid to try it again, as the first time was awful. It was superb! They take great pride in the presentation of their food products. I felt like I was in an episode of Master Chef. We had the steak, as well as the Sea bass, okra, corn, sweet potatoes, and the Caramel cake. Everything absolutely wonderful! This was a truly wonderful and memorable dining experience!! I would give 100 stars, and a Siskel and Ebert two thumbs up! There was only one thing I was disappointed about. No sweet tea! Were In Charleston SC, no sweet tea. Everything else totally made up for it though. The staff even had everyone present sign a menu, wishing us a happy anniversry1 I will most definatly go there again for a special occasion. Thanks to Andrew, Joel, and the entire staff, for making this night special!!”
“Food was excellent, drinks were wonderful and the atmosphere is classy. Steak was cooked perfectly and portions were appropriate. Service was top notch including recommendations. We were staying at The Charleston Place so were also given suggestions and information on the other onsite dining establishments. Greatly enjoyed our time and will certainly be returning.”
“An uber driver advised us against going here, but we already had a reservation so we went against his judgement. Let that be a lesson not to blindly trust advice thinking locals know it all. Place was amazing. My family frequents steak, filet and ribeye typically, and both of them didn’t disappoint. The ribeye was the best we had in Charleston and also happened to be the cheapest by a good margin. My brother, probably the pickiest eater I know, wouldn’t stop talking about the filet melting in his mouth. Rafael was our server and he was the man - quick witted and kept the night loose - a rarity in such a nice establishment”
“Incredible experience! Every detail felt very curated and special. From sake to sushi, each flavor was unique and creative. The chefs were very careful of an allergies and adapted to those who did have an allergy. Chef Matt and Max were so professional and knowledgeable. Som Sean had an extensive selection of sakes, knew so much about each flavor profile, and helped us pick the perfect drink. All three were so personable and enjoyable. It felt like having an intimate dinner party, but very luxurious. The pace was faster than I personally would have liked. There wasn’t really much time to savor the moment or converse with my friend, but that’s a personal preference. There was also an option to have caviar and/or truffle for an additional cost. However, the way that it was worded to us was as though it was apart of the experience, already factored in, and we just needed to choose our preference. In reality, it was an upcharge, so a little bit of a surprise when the bill came. Overall, I would say this is by far my favorite restaurant in CHS at the moment. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to going back.”
“We were given a tip on this restaurant. While tough to get a table it was quickly obvious why. We had the rabbit roulade and the steak w wild mushrooms, but just as good as the main courses were the lamb dumpling appetizers. It was also a beautiful, refined atmosphere with top notice service.”

“Big Shout Out to Tina our server today at Metro Diner ! She was Wonderful! She came right over with a beautiful smile and took our beverage order. We told her we knew what we wanted. She had no problem taking our food order. She even made a suggestion to my husband that saved him a few cents. She was a ray of Sunshine. She was very attentive. She checked on us several times. The food is great! The staff is great! Their cooks know what they are doing!! You can aee they all work as a team ! We have never had a bad meal there!!”
“My wife and I did the wine blending (and tasting!) class here and it was OUTSTANDING! Eric is such a fantastic host. He is knowledgeable, fun, and has an overall chill vibe. Loved every minute of it. Learned alot, drank alot, and brought 2 amazing bottles of wine home that we blended ourselves. I highly recommend this experience. Thanks Eric!”
“I hosted an afternoon welcome tea for daughter’s wedding. This happened the day before the wedding so you can imagine I had a lot of things going on, but Baba’s make it easy for me.
I worked with Charlotte prior to the event . She went over the menu with me and helped insure I had enough food for the event.
Let me just say it was utterly amazing what Charlotte delivered. The food was not only beautiful but tasted amazing.she even brought little signs with the names of all the food for me to display. We had over 30 people at this event and everyone loved the food!
Thanks Babas for a flawless catering! I highly recommend!”
“I asked my fiancé to find a nice coffee shop that also sells beer in Charleston. After her google search, she asked our friends at The Lucky Luchador and they also recommended your establishment. I was definitely impressed with the atmosphere and selection of beer that was available. I will be coming back soon and will be your ugliest ambassador!!! 😊”
“We weren’t sure what to expect when we walked in, but we are so glad we found this gem! FYI, there is no menu but he does post it on their social media. He makes fresh sandwiches daily and sells till he runs out. Don’t let that deter you! He knows what he’s doing. These sandwiches were next level! 🔥”
“If you love authentic Italian sandwiches, Porkchetta is the place to go. Their sandwiches are served on fresh, homemade focaccia bread and packed with high-quality, fresh ingredients. Every bite is full of flavor, and the staff makes you feel right at home. An outstanding experience from start to finish — highly recommend!”
“Absolute hit! Every single sandwich was completely devoured.
e had an amazing lunch here. It’s a great, simple concept with a welcoming atmosphere and a super cool retro 80s and 90s vibe. You just seat yourself, order at the window, and they bring the food right out to you.
Our group tried a little bit of everything:
The Apple Butter Jeans sandwich was a huge hit.
Chipotle Chicken Pita absolutely crushed my expectations.
Pastrami Reuben was phenomenal (took a bite of my wife’s and man, it was delicious).
Cracker Barrel Club was excellent.
Sidewinder Fries were perfect—crisp, hot, and flawlessly seasoned.
Everything came out fresh, hot, and packed with great flavor. Service was incredibly polite and quick, too; we took our time and were still in and out in about 20 to 30 minutes. Serving sizes are great and the cost is very reasonable for the quality.
Highly recommend this spot. I honestly might return tomorrow just to try something else on the menu!”

“This is a MUST!! It’s like a beautiful art museum as soon as you enter, beautiful exhibits!! It’s definitely a VIBE, mature crowd and the food was delicious!”
“literally everything we had here tonight was fantastic. the calamari strips are some of the best calamari I have ever had. the drinks were wonderful. If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and dine here—you won’t regret it! Thank you for an amazing experience; I can’t wait to return!”
And don’t sleep on the desserts- Midnight Snack with Fruity Pebbles.. trust me.. 🤤”
“Dinner was very good & everyone was so very nice. Had reservations & they seated us at 5. It was Mothers Day& graduation week so they were really busy BUT no one made us feel rushed. We will definitely come back..”
“Was what we expected. Pricey food and drinks, but you essentially pay for the views and service; both of which were excellent.
Note: get a reservation online ahead of time. Also, you don't have to get a table outside. It's comfortable inside at the bar, and you still get views.”
“I would definitely recommend S.N.O.B. for the quality of their food only. My friends and I were there on March 24, 2025, during an unexpected cold snap. We're from Florida and the weather was cold, windy and brutal. The four of us were seated at a table that was almost smack dab in front of the entrance door. Thus, people were constantly coming in and out. The manager should have had enough forethought to not place a table there, let alone sit people there in low fifty degree weather and high winds. We just wanted to get our food and get out.”
“Excellent service! The atmosphere was an amazing place to grab a drink and/or eat for the evening while socializing.”
“Filipino dishes with a twist. Hands down every dish we had was so good!”
“We had a lovely dinner at The James. I have a restricted diet and they wendy out if their way to make sure I was accommodated. There were 4 of us and everyone enjoyed our evening. Our server, Jessica was first class as were everyone we came in contact with. Would highly recommend The James.”
“The best, freshest seafood! Best fish taco i ever put in my mouth. And love the atmosphere!”
“We came in to celebrate parents night out and my birthday, and our waitress Alexis made the whole night. She was fabulous -- attentive, fun, and made me feel incredibly celebrated and special. She really went above and beyond to make the evening memorable.
The food was 10/10 across the board. The focaccia with the brown butter whipped ricotta was the perfect start. The tortellini wagyu was incredible and the ravioli did not disappoint either.
Highly recommend, and if you can, ask for Alexis.”
“Fabulous. And if you're impatient, the sro.. best service in the house!”
“My family celebrated my niece’s 21st birthday with you this past Monday (I missed out due to illness) and did nothing but rave about not only the food but the service! The staff individually and personally signed a birthday card for my niece, had a special dessert for her and a small gift and treated her and the rest of my family extremely well! They said the food was amazing! I am so disappointed I had to miss out but plan on making a trip to your wonderful restaurant the next time we visit Charleston!”
“Absolutely delish value - spicy chicken noodle, lamb peirogies, burger, cheesecake, viet coffee, even the OJ was delicious. We’re telling everyone about this hidden gem.”
“Best seafood ever and I don’t particularly like seafood, but this was exceptional”
“Great food awesome atmosphere. Service was awesome. Ate at the bar and it was perfect”
Updated from previous review on 2026-03-23”
“All of the food was good, to be honest it was my Mom’s favorite, and the service was unanimously good. I unfortunately once again to not remember the servers name, seems to be a personal problem. That being said, I thought the steak was not as good and a bit pricier than some of the other spots we tested in Charleston. I would go, but it wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice”
“My wife and I had dinner with four other friends here. It was outstanding. The food was over the top delicious and paired well with all the wines. Definitely one of the best places for dinner in the Charleston area. Michelin star worthy for sure!”
“Amazing food, atmosphere and staff! Sushi and cocktails were phenomenal!”
“Oh my! We snagged a last minute table after a show and everything was so plate-licking good immediately made plans to come back. The sauce on the mussels was scrumptious and the chicken curry was a shareable generous serving. Carlos was terrific and helpful with recommendations. Thank you!”
“I have a long, productive day where I celebrating accepting a new job with CPI Security and hanging out with Dad today who lives adlund the corner on Society. Both my parents came here back in the 60's. It was phenomenal and very enjoyable! They staff killer - very friendly. Also, I'm a former craft cocktail bartender with a fairly refined palette and that Manhattan was fire! 🔥✌🏼”
“Always amazing!! Cooking class with Chef Tyler was so fun!! Zero George is our go to in Charleston!”
“The food was incredible and our server, Courtney B was outstanding!! Courtney helped us select the perfect items and she made it fun!! Awesome!”
“Some gal pals and I went here the other month and from start to finish it was an absolute delight. As a seasoned veteran of sampling culinary delights I have got to admit it was one of the best meals and experiences of my days. Absolutely no notes.”

“We visit Le Farfalle every time we visit Charleston, as it is a tradition for me and my son. We love the food and the atmosphere. We can’t wait to have many more trips together to enjoy there.”
“Share Our Suzy is incredibly grateful for Swig & Swine and their continued partnership in presenting our annual Denim & Diamonds event. Their commitment to supporting local breast cancer patients and giving back to the community means so much to our mission. Because of partners like Swig & Swine, we are able to provide real support to women in the Lowcountry during treatment. We are thankful for their generosity and for standing with us year after year.”
“Had a great experience and stay… we enjoyed our time at the pool bar. Bartenders were very engaging and friendly.. great group and they make great drinks. Cozy and quaint.. just wish they played music around pool and not just on the bar side.”
“Delicious food, great atmosphere and unique drink options. Highly recommend.”
“Went to Charleston to celebrate ? my husband's birthday. Learned about the Forte and it was a great way to finish off our day with glasses of wine and delicious live music. Each musician was so incredibly seasoned and delightful to listen to. Thank you!”
“Had a delicious dinner with out of town friends celebrating a birthday. Spencer was an amazing server. Food was outstanding, drinks were delicious! I love this place!”
“An entertaining chef, creative and exceptionally well-executed cuisine, a pleasingly funky ambience, and the delight at watching a fine chef at work, which equals a terrific experience.”
“Home team was a pleasure to work with! Great with responding and getting answers to me quickly, they arrived on time to cater a wedding I coordinated, set up on time, and the food was delicious! Extremely friendly and easy to work with staff who were very helpful! As a planner I appreciate a great catering team and they’ve got it! Highly recommend!”
“We went for lunch, which has a $20 special, but with a drink you spend $30 each. The food was pretty good. The service was not that good which was surprising. The waiter was very slow to take our order, a different waitress (not the one who took our order) tried to give our drinks to the wrong table until we corrected her and said they were ours, and one person in our group was brought the wrong order, which they caught and corrected after several minutes even though we did not say something. Overall it was a good experience and I would go again, but seems like there are still some things to work out to make it a better experience, particularly for the high price point mentioned in many other reviews.”
“Great place to stop and have a drink or two with great seafood!”
“Everyone was so friendly. The food was amazing. I will definitely be back the mac & cheese will melt in your mouth.”

“finally getting around to catching up on my reviews & this one has been on my list to share! def has to be your next girls night stop. has a luxe and moody vibe. plenty of room to catch up, gossip, drink, & spill the tea. the talking pits are great for conversation!”
“Amazing food. Everything is homemade. My fiancé and I live an hour away and it is always worth the drive. Must try! We have loved everything we have tried. After developing a gluten intolerance I can still enjoy their delicious gluten free lasagna. Even their homemade breads are much easier to digest than anything else I have tried! Such a treat to get their food 🥰”
“😊Good food, and cool atmosphere. I only wish the bar seats were taller.”
“Had an absolutely amazing dinner at Matador! Delicious food and drink and we were SO lucky to be served by Sam! He told us incredible stories and gave us tons of tips of what to do! He absolutely made our dining experience something extra and I hope his manager knows what gem he is!”
“This is the best burger I've had in Charleston. I rate them on the same standard....Meat, American cheese, and bun. Only additions allowed are grilled onions, jalapeños, ketchup and mustard if you partake. Heavys is great but this one wins out based on the burger and better fries (came out piping hot!).”
“A must go to if you’re in town. The wine selection is unreal, suggestions are genuine and not geared towards just high cost bottles which is not common, atmosphere is fun. We loved it and will be back!”
“The ambiance, service and food were all outstanding here. The staff take there job seriously and provided us and our friends with an exceptional dinning experience.”

“Omg this place is incredibly! I can't wait to go back. A five course meal cooked perfectly. Roasted red pepper soup, shrimp and grits, braised short ribs with the best gravy ever!!! And the dessert.....I didn't want to leave! The vibe.....loved it. Amazing chefs!”
“We come to Kiawah Island for many years. One of our high high Lights is dining at Aji. We are from New Jersey and had the pleasure of having dined with on the delicacies created by Tim at our local sushi restaurant and are jealous that folks in Charleston have access to this great restaurant. We look forward to returning later in the year.”
“I was lucky to stumble upon Dellzville while in Charleston. I pre-0rderd their Harvest Feast for Thanksgiving. It was by far one of the best vegan meals I have had!! I didn’t feel like I was lacking anything with the rest of my family filling up on their traditional meal. PS..mine looked and tasted better! My only regret is that I should have ordered a second platter for leftovers.”
“This place is a super gem. After trying other Pho places, I found this one to be best. The chef sat down with me and explained how she makes the broths from scratch (no MSG!) Portions are huge with very fresh meats and vegetables. The pho is served with a side plate of limes, cilantro and/or basil and bean sprouts. The place is clean and the staff is great. Love, love this place!”
“My Bride and I visit here at least once a week. She eats wings and I get my weekly fish or shrimp. The food is great and consistent. I alternate between the fried chips and onion rings. Service is always top notch. In three years only one miscue, and it was fixed immediately! It’s great to have a local place that you can depend on! 👍🏻”

“My husband and I got married last week at Upstairs at Rue de Jean, the event space located just above the restaurant. We cannot say enough beautiful things about this fantastic venue or the incredible people who made our day happen. First, a big thank you to Sass, the event manager. She allowed us to visit the space as much as we needed to ensure we were bringing our vision to life and she handled all of our special requests with grace. Every single one of our requests were granted and the team was so excited to help make our day so special. The event team and banquet captain, Justin, made the service impeccably smooth. Every wedding guest with allergies was tended to personally, and dinner for over 100 people went off without a hitch. The food was absolutely phenomenal and my guests are still raving about it. I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Rue de Jean for any private event or dinner. I am so grateful to have been able to host my wedding ceremony and reception here. Thank you so much to everyone!!! “Listen, I came to Bourbon & Bubbles expecting a nice dinner. But I'm here to tell you - I left this place questioning ALL my life choices. Because YES, that lobster ravioli is absolutely divine, some may say demure but I’m going with an orgasm of my tastebuds. One bite in and I was ready to trade in my KY girl heels & move upstairs. Everything else on the table held its own - crack potatoes lived up to their name, the deviled eggs were basically showing off, and the cocktails? Let’s just say their bourbon lineup could convince a Pentecostal to consider converting to Catholicism. The presentation was on point, too. It’s the kind of place where even the side dishes look better than I do in unfiltered photos.. Ambience-wise, picture a nightclub circa 2006 where velvet met gold, blue lighting was the vibe, and every bartender is a “master of their craft” (and will happily let you know). It’s moody, glam, and just the right amount of extra. 10/10 would come back, mostly to apologize to the ravioli for not meeting it sooner.”

“La Cave (next to Felix) completely lived up to the hype. The ambience is absolutely beautiful.. elegant without feeling stuffy, with gorgeous decor and cocktails that were just as impressive as the food.
Everything we ordered was incredible. The caviar biscuit was a fan favorite, and the filet tartine was by far one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life. It was a perfect balance of sweet, salty, spicy, crunchy, creamy, rich, and tender all in one bite. It was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, I hope they never take it off the menu lol! Every cocktail was unique, well-balanced, and presented beautifully.
Also have to give a huge shoutout to our server, Tito, who was amazing all night. Super attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely made the experience even better. They also accommodated us adding two extra people to our reservation last minute, which we really appreciated❤
Hands down one of our favorite dining experiences in Charleston. Already looking forward to coming back!!!”
“5++ stars!
I was lucky enough to live in the same building as this bakery from basically the day they opened to now. They are amazing! I’ve never had anything bad! The “GRIT” cookie might be the best ever! And the seasonal danish flavors and twists are amazing!
Everyone is so sweet and don’t sleep on the best baguettes in town! Coffee is also really good.
Also I have been to almost every bakery in Charleston and this place is top of the list.”

“Rosemary Lounge delivers a relaxed, inviting atmosphere with a touch of elegance. The cocktails are well-crafted and balanced, and the staff is attentive without being overbearing. It’s a great spot to unwind, whether you’re meeting friends or enjoying a quiet evening. Definitely a place worth returning to.”
“My husband and I visited Charleston to celebrate my birthday, and if I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. Chef Masa’s newest venture is truly a must-visit. The artistic presentation and impeccable service made the evening unforgettable. Standout dishes included the Jingisukan lamb kushiyaki and Kinoko, while the crudo and beef dumplings were exceptional. The Shaka Shaka fries were a fun and unique touch, as was the apple pie—but the true highlight was the miso caramel soft serve affogato. As someone born in Japan, I felt especially grateful to experience the chef’s creations on such a special occasion!”
“My husband and I came here not really knowing what to expect but just heard about it through the grape vine. Katie was our host for the evening and words cannot express enough how amazing she was. Her knowledge of wines, and just alcohol in general lead us in the direction we didn’t know we needed for the perfect night. We enjoy the BEST wine and BEST REAL espresso martini I have ever had.
We had the best time carrying on with Katie and enjoying our night. For Katie alone we would be back, but we will 100% be back for cocktails, food, and the atmosphere.”
“I didn't have anything to eat here, although they have a menu. I love the vibe in here. Fun, relaxed with good music. The frozen boozy drinks are the best. I had a flight. I'd recommend it, and would go back when in Charleston.”
“Blanca Estrada Taqueria is a hidden gem! The tacos are absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and made with authentic ingredients. Every bite was delicious, and you can tell they take pride in the quality of their food.
The customer service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The combination of excellent food, great service, and a warm atmosphere makes this a place I'll definitely visit again.
If you're looking for some of the best tacos around, I highly recommend Blanca Estrada Taqueria. You won't be disappointed!”
“During our 4 day trip to Charleston we tried several highly rated restaurants and Merci was by far the best. Our dinner here was one of the best, if not the best meal I've ever had. We sat at the chef's counter and saw the great care and attention to detail that the staff took with each plate. We started with the tuna crudo and focaccia dishes, which were both amazing. For our entree, we had the beef wellington for two - perfectly prepared and so full of flavor. And for dessert, we had a deliciously fresh peach tart. We will be back again to try some of the many other wonderful dishes we saw come out of the kitchen. Thank you Merci for a truly memorable evening.”

“FABULOUS smoked brisket/turkey ...sides are southern at its best...Local favorite....can't wait to go back!!!!!”
