“One of my all time favorite restaurants! We live 45 minutes away but stop in every chance we get. The food is always 10/10 and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need!”
“Why haven’t I been here before?! Omg! So good! I got the poke bowl (a delicious combination of tuna, cucumbers and tomatoes in sauce) and hubby got the fried chicken sandwich….I think it is our new favorite chicken sandwich in Asheville. The honey sauce the used! Yum! Coming back. Great outdoor dining and all the food is great!”
“We found this little gem by chance and were not disappointed. Great atmosphere, kid friendly (albeit its an adult place). We sat at a small corner table by the bar. We enjoyed some sharable plates, great wines, mocktails for the kids, excellent wines and my wife a great Vesper made by Luci (the bartender). But the cherry on top was the fact that she made a perfect Irish Coffee - a simple drink, but buttered by 99% of the bar tenders. We will be back.”
“We absolutely love this place. We always visit them whenever we are in Asheville. We recommend sitting at the counter. The counter will allow you to be entertained by the staff. We hung out with Derek this time. He is an amazing chef. There's nothing like watching an artist at work.”
“My husband and I tried this place out for the first time to celebrate an anniversary. David(dave) was our waiter and gave great service; he was very knowledgeable with the menu, kind and overall was great! To start, we ordered the bacon wrapped scallops that were so delicious! We ordered the filet minion and catfish for our main entrees and they were both amazing dishes. Dessert was offered, but we were just too full to try it! At least it gives us an excuse to come back. So pleased with this place!”

“Had a very delightful dinner at Chestnut. Our server, Woody, was welcoming and attentive. Lobster bisque, duck marsala risotto, and spring trifle were all very delicious.”
“Chai Pani is one of my favorite restaurants in the world! I’ve traveled to 16 countries, and this is easily one of the best if not THE best that I’ve had. The Chicken pakora nuggets, okra fries, and bhel puri are some of the best dishes you could ever taste. We’ve been multiple times and have never been disappointed! We live 2.5 hours ways and have driven it just to eat at Chai Pani.”
“Food was good; server was pleasant. We received one app and had also ordered a salad which did not arrive at the table even after we asked about it. It arrived and our mains arrived at the same time even though we had not finished the other app. Just another restaurant that wants you to eat on their schedule, not yours.”

“Went inside for the first time today and it was fantastic. The service was fantastic and the food was so good and affordable. They have lunch specials, which is perfect for me and my kids. We will definitely be returning again soon.”
“Mehfil is so consistently good. Delivery, takeout, in-person - I've never had a less than stellar meal. And the staff and owners are also incredibly nice. They go out of their way to make you feel like a welcomed guest. It's my favorite place to take visitors because I know the food and service will be on point.Dietary restrictions: Tons of great, clearly marked options for gluten free, vegetarian and dairy free!”
“The rooftop bar was great. Delicious food great service. But the hotel staff and rooms SUCK. WE paid 289.00 a night for a room with NO TV which I kinda DUMB ! Anyway we will not ever stay here again. Front desk folks are jackasses rude. We had our reservations over a week for a room as we were traveling here from Amelia Island Florida. It took over 35 minutes to check in they had our reservations all screwed up. Absolutely a joke I've never experienced anything like this at a hotel. Our total experience was CRAP except for the rooftop bar. I give the folks up there working a 5 star rating.”
“This is likely our favorite brewery in Asheville! We have a wonderful experience every time we visit which is unfortunately every few years, but always worth the wait. We stopped in last Monday afternoon and were welcomed immediately, the bartender from Denver who I unfortunately didn’t get his name was one of the nicest people we’ve met in a long time. We stayed longer than anticipated because we were having such an enjoyable time with great beers! Their tap list ranges from basic lagers to breakfast porters and many things in between. They have some beer options to go in this location, for merchandise we went next door to the main Green Man brewery. You can’t beat the vibe here at Dirty Jacks though, can’t wait until we can visit again!”
“Absolutely one of the best places for Indian food we have been to. The place is new but the are a sister restaurant to Andaaz in Biltmore. The quality is very comparable and the drinks are a wonderful blend of flavors Eric had the Lamb Vindaloo while I had the Brazino. Both were amazing The staff were very friendly and helpful. Kevin the bartender was great. But don't get confused he isn't Indian. The owner Tony does have a vested interest and personally gets input from the patrons”
“Very fun, energetic atmosphere, with excellent music and humor thrown in. The bartender and the musician were both excellent. Come in and request your favorite song!”
“The whole experience was wonderful! I loved the food and we sat at the bar so it was fun to see the food as it was made. It is purposely small - so it was like I was invited into a dinner party in a home. Unique drinks, flavorful food and yummy ice cream.”

“By far the BEST dining experience we had in Asheville. The food is so spectacular that I bought their cookbook just to remember how good it tasted. You MUST sit at the bar! We spoke with so many people, local and repeat visitors. Friendly, fun vibe. Highly recommended!!!!”

“Food is incredible and the staff are all so lovely and friendly. Dining room is stunning and best of all, free parking! The private label wine that is 1/2 off on Wednesdays is amazing. Such a good spot for business lunches, cozy dinners and the patio is dog-friendly!”

“My new favorite place. My go to is the Mango shaved ice, a treat that is close to home. Atmosphere is so inviting and relaxing. There is no dessert place like it in Asheville.”
“Visited 3/25/24. Omg go to rebel burger if you haven't been already-what a solid food truck this is. My biggest regret was that I ate this burger so quick that I didn't have time to take pics. The process is fairly simple, you order via QR code, grab a drink at Hi-Wire if you wish in the meantime, then wait for them to email you that your order is ready. My mom and I split a rebel burger and an abundance bowl. The only thing we couldn't think of was how to tweak the ingredients while ordering online (my mom initially didn't want the mayo), but honestly upon trying the burger, we both admitted the ingredients included were perfection. That is one good burger and the bun was delicious too. And the abundance bowl was just as good-so flavorful and well balanced. A side/smaller version of the abundance bowl would be an awesome option instead of fries as something to go with the burger (we didn't want fries because we had already had some earlier in the day). It works just as well on its own though and is pretty large so you may find yourself with leftovers. This is one food truck you shouldn't miss.”
“Perhaps the fastest kitchen we’ve ever experienced. Food was done well and quickly. Fabulous fried clam appetizer. Oyster Po Boy was very good as was my wife’s Shrimp Po Boy.”
“We were recommended to eat here by a friend and we absolutely loved it. We had our 11 month old son with us and they accommodated us by all means. We will definitely be back next time we’re in town. The brisket Mac & cheese was delicious!”

“We were recommended to eat here by a friend and we absolutely loved it. We had our 11 month old son with us and they accommodated us by all means. We will definitely be back next time we’re in town. The brisket Mac & cheese was delicious!”
“This place makes an excellent martini (with blue cheese olives). It's a cool environment, somewhat crowded, but the busy-ness adds to the appeal. I think they shine more in cocktails than in food. The burger is made with American cheese, to its detriment. Burrata was good, and the table tried some small Spanish-style fish. We had another OK pasta dish as well. Less likely to return for a meal but happy to come for drinks + apps.”
“Another outstanding culinary experience! Thank you for fitting us in yesterday on our way home from SAFF (Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair) we brought our dear friends who were celebrating their anniversary. We had some small plates then scallops, burgers, and schnitzel. Just fabulous. Thank you for a perfect end to a wonderful day spent with great friends. Happy to share such a dining gem.”
“This place is dialed in. The food was superb and cooked to perfection. The staff was very friendly and professional as well. Atmosphere was very pleasing and we now have a “new go to place” for dining out in the area. This manager should be proud to have such a well run business in this day and age. WELL DONE EVERYONE !”
“My Partner and I were in from out of town, 100% not expecting to find this level of Authenticity in this area. Taste, Environment, Price and Service were 1000 times better than we were anticipating. To anyone in the area who's still undecided if you'll go. We drove an 1h 30m to try it and was well worth.”
“This is one of our new favorite restaurants! Food was delicious, perfectly cooked, flavorful, filling and love the farm to table unique menu! Drinks were carefully crafted and delish! Service was impeccable from our waitress Reign and every employee/manager we encountered. We were seated close to the kitchen and impressed by the organization and communication between the cooks. The vibe of the restaurant was unique, romantic and interesting. Def a must to ask about the history of the restaurant and the vision!”
“The croissant was delicious, highly recommend. I didn’t particularly enjoy the tortilla española. It tasted fine, but could have used a bit more salt and was rather runny in the middle which can be tasty but wasn’t a great decisions since it was made several hours before and was kept at room temperature. Service was great.”
“They exceeded my expectations! Held my daughters college graduation celebration dinner party of 20. Their meats were done to perfection. The staff were gracious we were all completely satisfied! I highly recommend.”
“Restarted, it with crab stuffed mushrooms and spinach, crab meat oysters. They were delicious then we ended it with two lobsters, potatoes and corn and also a salad. Everything was delicious and our waitress was so kind. She even cracked our lobster and took all the meat out of it for us..”
“Recommended by Scott at Weinhaus/Asheville- and we loved it! The entire staff was so gracious and attentive. The moule frites and steak frites were perfectly cooked and predented correctly. We cannot compare this to a better one, because we haven't found better than this. I loved watching the pétanque league play. We'll share our lucky find with our friends; when we move here later this year this place is our top destination.”
“Probably the best brewery experience I've had in 20 years of craft beer tourism. They make great beers and they treat you right, because the people who run it are treated right. This is a great space to relax and talk with friends or make more. Food trucks, indoor and outdoor seating with fire pits, wine and non-alcoholic options, and super friendly service in a beautiful setting. If you don't visit here when in the area, you don't like beer.”
“Wonderful restaurant...great ambience...great service Had the mussels and some cheese biscuits - delish. Others had the steak and another had chicken. All were deliciously prepared. Had no room left for dessert, even though they all sounded great Hayley was our server - professional and friendly.”
“I had the pleasure of dining in for breakfast recently I was pleasantly surprised with the portions And the service ! I had shrimp and grits and love them, and I don’t even like grits! Chicken and waffles what is today for and the biscuits and gravy left nothing to be desired I highly recommend this place .”

“I HAD TOO WAIT 30 minutes before I was even greeted or order was taken they where overly staffed and my order still wasn’t taken and when it was a lovely old lady had too take down on a napkin too get my take out order today while another gentleman came the person who was supposed too take my order she rushed too him moral of the story no matter what we look like we shall be treated the same”
“Employees were really friendly and the cook was great! The food came out perfect for a Waffle House. My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves. It was a very pleasant experience.Kid-friendliness: My daughter loved watching the cook make the food in front of us. The food is definitely kid-friendly.”
“This particular location I usually go to currently has three specific people who are the reason I keep coming back. I know if see Rebecca and/or Royce and/or Zach working, it's going to be worth my while and every dollar I spend. They're literally such rockstars every time I pull up, and no matter the kind of day I've had I know it'll be even better after I see them.Vegetarian options: If you're an "ovo-lacto" vegetarian who's not pious about what's "healthy" or concerned about cross contamination with animal fats, you should be fine here. Just don't forget to tell the server no meat, and they'll understand.Parking: Ample handicap parking, directly next to the building.Wheelchair accessibility: The doors are a bigger challenge than I care to see for wheelchair users to enter the building, but I'm optimistic that the staff would be happy to help anybody who actually struggled with the doors anyway for any reason. I'm currently able-bodied so I wouldn't really know.”
“This is by-far the BEST Waffle House I have ever visited. The server, Marq, was so wonderful, and he definitely needs a raise!! The food was excellent, and all the staff were so friendly and kind. The restaurant was clean, and all precautions, per the pandemic, were being taken for the safety of customers and employees. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone desiring a clean, family- friendly dining experience!!!”
“This McDonald's on Leicester highway is always and has always been the best one it is the most comfortable the service is the best of who's the best the location is wonderful I love this place like it's homeVegetarian options: Not many vegetarian options but they are there is the I can't really complain too much being is it's a fast food restaurant in it is supposed to be really cheap as it used to have a dollar menu but it's borderline expensive nowParking: You could never run out of parking in this location there's several places sharing a huge lot and there's no way they can all fit in McDonald's if everyone did Park in every space is privacy to hang with your friends or family or whatever you want to do in that parking lot if you wantKid-friendliness: My kid brother loves this McDonald's in they're always really kind to himWheelchair accessibility: Yes it is easily wheelchair accessible in every entrance”
“The worst experience ever, consecutively, every time I've come here. For years and years in a row. You might get your food. I don't know why I keep doing this to myself.”
“Place stays busy. Service is good never had any problems. Food was hot when I got it. Always had a good experience with cashier an others when I was there. I would go back and eat again.”
“This is one of our new favorite restaurants! Food was delicious, perfectly cooked, flavorful, filling and love the farm to table unique menu! Drinks were carefully crafted and delish! “Had a wonderful experience at Daddy Mac’s today. The Pickle-Brined Chicken Sandwich was delicious. I loved the ‘down home’ feel of this place, complete with Mason jar desserts and a really unique and varied menu. Logan was an amazing server - was super friendly and attentive, and proactively brought to-go boxes and bags. If you are in the area, make this place a priority and ask for Logan!”

Takeout Restaurants
“Great offerings for lovers of all types of beers. Great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor areas including the Meadows section and frisbee golf course. Very unique setting and very friendly and knowledgeable servers. Relaxing spot and one of the top breweries in NC.”
“This is my favorite coffee shop in Asheville! I usually get a cappuccino, drip coffee, and one of the pastries and they are all fantastic. Ash always makes a perfect cappuccino with properly steamed milk.I’ll often hang out for an hour or two to work in the cozy cafe. I’ve also brought my three year old to the cafe and she thoroughly enjoyed her experience!”
“I loved the food that I ordered. I got the okra fries, the paneer tikka roll, and chai. My husband and his friend each got the Malai chicken tikka roll. We got takeout because I had to drop the guys off at the airport and then hit the road for a 7 hour drive. The sandwich was good, but the okra fries were incredible! They are sliced paper thin and are not greasy at all, and they have just the right amount of chaat masala on them. The chai was the best chai I have ever had. The guys really liked their chicken sandwiches, too. Unfortunately, I don't live in Asheville, so I don't know when I can come back again. If I did live in Asheville, I would be coming here regularly.Vegetarian options: The vegan and vegetarian dishes are clearly labeled.”
“The food was very tasty and the drinks were strong and not over priced. I loved the open and clean atmosphere. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I was happy all around.”
“Today was my family's first Crumbl experience. Everyone has been raving about these cookies. This was a fun weekday treat. We don't do a ton of sweets in our family, so we are selective in what we splurge with. This was so worth it and the service was speedy. The people working here were very sweet too. No pun intended ?”
“Omg delicious, FRESH and hot pizza at all of your favorite breweries. Our faves are the hot honey and bianca *chefs kiss* We follow this food truck throughout Asheville it’s so damn tasty; five stars!!”
“What a great brewery! All the beers were awesome with our favorite being the Hazy Half Back - delicious!! Scott and Karen were both awesome, super friendly and knowledgeable. This will be a must for us whenever we visit Asheville.”
“Food and service are both fantastic – some of the best Mexican food I've had in Asheville. Unlike other places, the food isn't *too* fast – you actually have a moment to take a sip of your drink before your meal comes out. My one disappointment is that they only have a changing table in the women's restroom – FYI men have children too! Granted it's a single-occupancy restroom so I could still use the women's restroom if needed, but that kind of thing can be controversial in North Carolina post-HB2 so it would be nice if they had equal facilities.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu, unfortunately they only have a changing table in the women's restroom”

“A local bar with great food, service and beer selection. Excellent cocktails with generous pours. Ample seating inside as well as on the patio. Highly recommended.”
“This is a locally owned meat three+ restaurant. Breakfasts are their specialty but their sandwiches and entrees are tops.Parking: Parking can be dicey at 12 noon so drive slowly around the block or two if the parking lot is full.”
“I got drip coffee - a local brew - which was absolutely delicious and hands down 5 stars. I gave the food a 3 star rating because unfortunately the breakfast sandwich was soggy, bland, and frankly inedible. I would however go back and get the coffee again and try something else from the menu. The breakfast brownie for example looked very good.”
“Saw White Duck on YouTube and thought we would give it a try. Glad we did, I had the pork belly and the bulgogie tacos, and I have to say the pork belly is by far the best taco I have ever had the pleasure of trying the Korean bulgogie was outstanding as well but the pork belly was a flavor masterpiece!! Great vibe, lots of kids and dogs, lots of outdoor seating. Highly highly recommended.”
“We had a wonderful experience at Fahrenheit Pizza. We brought some family with us from out of town. We had pizza, garlic knots and even tried their cannolis! The food was all very delicious, especially the pizza. And the staff were all very kind and inviting, especially Conrad. (He was the one that sold us on the cannolis) As a pizza snob, this place has inched its way into my top 3 pizza places in Asheville. Cheers!”
“Oh my goodness, this place is absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and generous portions. I got the lonchera with ropa vieja and it was great. I have never had escabeche before and now I'm addicted! It was the perfect compliment to the savory shredded beef and rice and beans. Looking forward to trying more of their dishes!”

“A friend told me about this place. We tried it and was pleasantly surprised. Not only was the chicken good, but the vegetables were fresh and just as good as the chicken. This place is something Guy Fieri would like.”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“I recently tried Taco Temple and overall, it was a decent experience. We started with chips and guacamole, which was fresh and plentiful, with large chunks of avocado. For our main course, we ordered the barbacoa and mahi tacos. The barbacoa had a delicious stew-like flavor, but the mahi tacos were a bit dry. I also ordered the avocado torta, it was quite good! The meal was good but not outstanding. The prices were average for the market, making it a reasonable choice. However, parking can be challenging, especially when it's busy. I believe there's also a drive-through option, which might be more convenient for some.”
“We were greeted warmly as soon as we arrived. Shown to our seat then our drink order was taken right away. Beautiful place, nice & quiet. The food came out hot & delicious.”
“Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Super friendly people. We shared a basic hot dog and got the coleslaw. Both were very fresh and flavorful. Fun spot. Highly recommend if you're craving a hotdog like my husband has been”
“I started coming here sometime last year and have been addicted to them ever since. My all time favorite is the Almond Crunch...it's just so good lol. Just tried the pumpkin today and I also enjoyed that one. The people who work there are always super nice and answer any questions you might have/give recommendations. I stop by to pick up the Vitamin Spice-C when my hubby is sick too. He swears by it”
“This is an ice cream place. Soft serve. Used to be called Tasty Freeze. window order only and pick up. staff very friendly. Everyone loves ice cream. They have a few benches for sitting and picnic tables in back where you can eat.”
“Granny's is our favorite "Best Kept Secret"!! Awesome cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chili, tater tots and old fashioned crinkle fries!! We always enjoy our food and our visit. Customer Service is tops! dine-in area is small, but they stay very busy with drive-through and carry-outs. Love it!!”
“Great place to eat good local company small business. Support local. Owner is amazing to talk to.Parking: Plenty of places to park, drive thru is quick, but if you have time to sit and eat, atmosphere is nice and the parking is free”
“Christine and Nicole were great to work with with a large group! Staff was accommodating and so friendly. Thank you all for making great beer and having great taprooms!”
“Amazing food for a great value. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly, with a great variety of flavors on every plate.Dietary restrictions: Great for a person with celiac disease”
“After a long night in the ER Thurs night into late Friday morning, I was a bit to tired to cook dinner, so my wife and I decided to just "grab a bite", my daughter requested Chick-fil-a so I drove to Tunnel Rd. As I pulled into line, I noticed the car in front of me had paid cash, and the young man seemed to have his hands full trying to organize everything. Having been in the food service industry years back I know it can sometimes feel a little intimidating when you have a hand full of cash and someone approaches you, so I hung back until he looked organized. When I did pull up Oscar briefly acknowledged what I had done, and the asked for my name to start my order. I was happy to see he realized why I did it, and figured that was the end of the matter. Just as I had finished with my order, and was ready to pull up, another gentleman (sorry did not get his name) approached me and also acknowledged what I had done, and thanked me for being courteous, I smiled just before he handed me a small card good for a free dessert saying something to the effect of "We like to acknowledge and reward when people act kindly". After a very, very long day, this was the ray of humanity I needed to get me through the rest of it. I hope both those gentlemen get a pat on the back.”
“Quiet place for a good lunch. I had a good Cuban sandwich and friends tried the empanadas and tamales. It is a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a good meal.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible for wheelchair”
“Panda has some of the quickest, yet delicious Chinese food I've ever had. The service at Tunnel Road has very friendly people that go the extra mile for you. We have always loved PE and started with the store inside Asheville Mall - their service is slightly less than the stand alone store. No matter what food I get, I love. The Kung Pao is really spicy and very good, but you have to be careful not to accidentally put a whole dried pepper in your mouth. My favorite is the Honey Shrimp. I don't know what they do to it, but it's amazing. In the mall, you're eating right beside kids playing, so it's a dull, screaming roar that makes it hard to hear yourself, let alone a companion. At the stand alone, there's great lighting, great service, and it would be a great place to take a date or a job interview.”
“We order Moe's catering frequently for work lunches. Rayne always provides awesome service and ensures we have everything we need for a great lunch. Food is always fresh and good!Vegetarian options: grilled tofu”
“This is the McDonald's i go to after family doctor appointments for a little family treat. There is a lovely woman that works here named Kat, she is spunky and makes every visit here pleasant and familiar. She is a treasure.”
“So creative and delicious! Order anything on the menu - you cannot go wrong. Cool, relaxed atmosphere and friendly, attentive servers. What more could you ask for?”
“Wonderful restaurant...great ambience...great service Had the mussels and some cheese biscuits - delish. Others had the steak and another had chicken. All were deliciously prepared. Had no room left for dessert, even though they all sounded great Hayley was our server - professional and friendly.”
“Good Hot Fish is amazing! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and delicious. There are so many thoughtful details throughout the restaurant. You can tell how much love and passion has gone into this space. Highly recommend as one of the best restaurants in Asheville!”
Fine Dining
“Ok. So here's the thing. I read all of these horrible reviews about this particular restaurant. So, to be honest I reluctantly made reservations. It was a rare opportunity for my wife and I to have a romantic getaway at the Grove Park Inn and I really wanted it to be special. When we arrived at our reserved time we were told it was going to be a bit longer. It was only about 10 minutes and they made every effort to be kind and keep us posted. That was a nice change from some of the service I'd received in the past, so I was happy about that. The servers, Diane and Jermaine were phenomenal. The food was incredible. My wife said it was the best Filet Mignon she'd ever had. I was very happy to hear that. I got the Sea Bass and it was very, very good. I highly recommend both of these entrees. The desserts were great too! So I say my compliments to the Manager, to the Chef, to the staff and even going all the way back to the front desk where the two young women were so friendly. To hear my wife say it was a beautiful view, the best steak, and to see the smile on her face made me decide to write this review. They even brought us a small dessert to share and two glasses of sparkling wine at no charge because my birthday was coming up soon. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. I highly recommend Vue 1913. The prices are a little high, but I'd pay it again for the night we had! Don't believe all the negative reviews, folks.”
“Decided to chill and people watch. Kiyan was our server for drinks. What a dynamic personality he has. Definitely an asset to the establishment!!We came here next day and Jessica waited on us. What a gem she is... on the ball and so friendly!!”
“This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in Asheville. Our server Fred was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the extensive wine list. He gave us great suggestions and truly elevated our night. I will absolutely be back and asking for Fred on our next visit!”
“Chicken salad pita tasty. Garden salad sufficient. Line service queue quick. Plus $3.25 water bottle. Diet coke fountain. Portions could have been more for the price, had to satiate hunger elsewhere afterwards. Maybe that’s their grand plan.”
“Hi All, How can I get a reservation for this week? Last time I was here in 2018 it was the best restaurant I have been to in Asheville! I'm ready for it to reopen, because I will be in town this week. I'm so excited!!!”
“John F has single handedly saved my first experience at the GPI. My 2 kids and I have traveled across country from Wisconsin to Chapel Hill after packing up my childhood home for a month after my parents passed away. I was exhausted after a 9 hour drive to Asheville and decided to book a room here as a special treat. When we arrived it rained and despite accepting the pouring rain we didn't get any sympathy or help except for John who listened to me rant and bought me a glass of wine. Bottom Line - Thank You John”
“Had a wonderful breakfast this morning. Lora was top notch and brought milk out upon seeing my daughter grabbing cereal. Hashbrown casserole was amazing and I was impressed with what was offered on the buffet (lox and all the fixing).Yes, there are many spots to eat in Asheville, but Renaissance caters to a lot of groups that do not have time to go to breakfast outside the hotel in the mornings. Also, I enjoyed breakfast as part of my Marriott Status.”
“Citizen Vinyl is one of the many places that make Asheville a memorable place to live and visit. Our area is rich in music history. We are so fortunate to have a fun place like this to enjoy. Try the Rhubarb cocktail.”
“They have great friendly staff, they go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. There Pizza is second to none, Tyler and the rest of the crew do a great job!”
Cheap Eats
“This place is genuinely one of my favorite places to eat in Asheville. The fries are authentic and superb, the chicken and fish are absolute perfection. The vibes are immaculate and the restaurant interior is very much reminiscent of a Belgian frituur. Highly recommend.”
“We loved this bar! Drinks were delicious and the decor/aesthetic is unique and inviting. Loved the patio during the day. The food truck was decent for a late night snack”
“Went here a few weeks ago for brunch with a friend and....yum.Are we vegan? No. Have I stopped thinking about that chicken sandwich with mushroom gravy? Also no. Highly, highly recommend.”
“After a great dinner, we walked around checking out different shops and looking for a cookie to take back to our hotel. It was our first time in Asheville visiting friends who moved here over a year ago. This was a very popular spot for an evening snack. They had all the classic pastries that you’d hope for, including cheesecakes, key lime pies, cookies. We were pleased and came out with one pastry and 2 chocolate dipped peanut butter cookies. They were fantastic!”
“Just an awesome place to relive classic to modern video arcade games and consoles. Was very happy to have played Mario cart for the n64 again. Played several games all worked first time unlike similar spots.”
“Take a step back to the food court days! From the four food options we saw today we tried two of them. A little cheese and corn empanada snack from Mikasa Criolla was tasty if but just a tad over salted. We also enjoyed the chicken plate from Bun Intended. Excellently fried and crispy. Sauce was our favorite part of the dish.”
“I had really high expectations for this brewery after doing an enormous amount of research. The space itself was neat and being downtown was cool. I liked that they had pinball too. But the beers I was expecting elite and I just didn’t feel that way. We tried 7 beers between two of us and the only one I thought was outstanding was one of the Hazys. I will try again next time I’m in town but I won’t prioritize it like I did this time”
“We ordered a half-gallon of ice through a delivery service. My name is Newt, and one of the staff left the most adorable drawing of a Newt on the receipt. You have no idea how bad I needed the smile that gave me! Thank you guys for always being the sweetest.”
“Been dining with Terisa and her family since they opened. The quality of the food is always superb -- especially the many dish and dipping sauces. Service is always very friendly and attentive. Best House Margarita in town! Impressive sports bar. Even the chairs are works of art -- hand painted wood carvings and metal imprints of primitive scenes throughout. We've frequented all the local TexMex venues for 30 years. Orale's Bar & Grill is the stand-out best in Asheville.”
“I was visiting my sisters and their friend in Asheville and was invited to eat at Pizza Mind. My group are all vegetarians, but I am not. They ordered personal sized pizzas with vegetarian toppings. I did get a taste of the Roasted Beets and Cauliflower pizza. It was a very good combination. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and a Caesar side salad. The dressing was authentic with anchovies. I'm not a fan of anchovies, but it was so well balanced, I really didn't mind. I ate the whole thing. The Cuban came on a really great bread. I think it was baked locally and was really fresh. The rest of the sandwich tasted good, but a little skimpy on the meats. I'm used to Florida Cuban sandwiches which are plump with meat. I would visit Pizza Mind again on my next trip to Asheville and try a pizza.”
“This place is a gem and the lady at the counter with beautiful curly hair was an absolutely amazing person! Very friendly and kind. I really appreciate that. Definitely will be back”
“We made The Daily Grind our coffee spot while staying in Asheville. The plum and lemon scones were divine! The coffee is rich and satisfying. Chuck, the owner, is pleasant and very knowledgeable about the area. We definitely recommend!”
“Such a fun place!! My friends and I went there today for lunch and met some really fun people and played games with them for a while!! super good food and great atmosphere. Definitely plan on going back!”
“Hello my name is Bobbi Nicole and my husband Lional and son Jay had the best breakfast at Wynns! The waitress Lisa and the owner are the best, super nice people. If you hadn't tried the Cinnabon pancakes you must try. Everything was delicious. ❤️”
“My wife and I met here for a going away party for a friend. The place is large with indoor and outdoor seating with a mini-golf course behind it. Good variety of selection on beer types and about 12-15 of them. The breakfast sandwich was a home run... like completely surprised us both for a brewpub... we were there during brunch, so she was able to get brunch and me lunch (think brunch ends at 3:30 Saturdays/Sundays). She had the breakfast sandwich, which was a monster and was a very good value. The sandwich was satisfying and so flavorful, especially with whatever sauce that was. The home fries were ordered extra crispy, and they came out perfectly crispy and not burnt or greasey.I am a sucker for shrimp and grits, so I usually get it if I see it on a menu. The shrimp were cleaned first off so they did that right and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The sausage was still juicy and flavorful. The grits were cooked well but honestly, it didn't taste much of cheddar and noticed barely any jalapeno. The sauce was supposed to be garlicky cajun cream sauce. I got the garlic and cream but no cajun spice, and overall it needed some salt and pepper because of that lack of heat.Overall it was a great brunch spot with a tasty large breakfast sandwich and crispy home fries; but mediocre shrimp and grits. Beer selection is good.8.5/10”
“We have lived in West Asheville for eight years and have never gone to Nine Mile. Me and my three children(we are two vegetarians and two vegan) were on our way to the Thai restaurant next-door and my daughter talked us into nine mile after looking at the menu and realizing that everyone could be made happy. So we tried it. Upon entering, there is a large table that reminds me of Covid days, but it is for pick up orders. Otherwise, the decor is nice, not particularly special in anyway, and perhaps slightly shabby. The place just looks well used. The outside of the building, obviously in need of restoration. Service was good, but kind of like the building seemed worn. It was not busy when we arrived at 5:30, but it became busy soon after, the bar every seat was full with diners. We tried most of the vegetarian/vegan entrées, each using the same jerk tofu. Though the tofu is the same in each dish each one was vastly different. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures, my youngest child who ate pasta with cheese and loved it, and also the natty bread, played chess on my phone throughout the meal. The two vegan teens, one got a pasta dish with fire roasted tomatoes that were sublime and other assorted vegetables, (I don't remember the name) and the other got a different entree- it had black beans, rice, the tofu, plantains and a lovely pineapple salsa. I a vegetarian ordered a dish with white rice, tofu etc. All was delicious. The salads were great. The jalapeño dressing was noteworthy. One beer, an extra order of natty bread, three entrées, one kids plate. $95 including the 20% tip. Not bad, good portions, entrées have salad and bread. I'm glad that my daughter talked us into it and I imagine we will probably make it part of our dining out repertoire.”
“Our family of 8 all loved the pizza with several saying it was the best they ever had. Worth seeking out.Kid-friendliness: They were accommodating to our six kids and us.”
“They exceeded my expectations! Held my daughters college graduation celebration dinner party of 20. Their meats were done to perfection. The staff were gracious we were all completely satisfied! I highly recommend.”
“Excellent and professional service, starting from check in to complete table service. They all kindly acknowledged my wife's birthday. However, the price of the meal was expensive, and the portions of the selected items were small. The overall quality of the meal was very good, but quanity of prepared items did not match the price. I guess this is because we were dining at the Biltmore. You are paying for the experience.”
“The breakfasts here are amazing. Large portions, served piping hot. I had the Garden Omelette (both days) and my husband had French Toast. The breakfast potatoes are crisp with a little spice and when you substitute for fruit, you get a cereal bowl full of fresh berries and oranges. We were served by Erin and Keisha and they were remarkable. Professional and friendly, they checked on us just the right amount. Also, their coffee is delicious. Can’t wait to go back!”
“We had absolutely wonderful service & delicious cocktails during our visit in Asheville. Meticulously crafted cocktails by a very knowledgeable mixologist (can’t remember his name). We will definitely be back next time we’re in town.”
“My husband and I loved the comedy bus tour. It was hilarious with some history on the city mixed in. Definitely recommend for anybody down to laugh for 90 minutes and anybody that doesn't mind getting teased a little”
“This is the spot to go to when in Asheville or as a local looking for a restaurant who still prioritizes the ambiance and unmatched quality of food. Steph, Ralph and Tony are owners who care and love what they do. Easily my favorite spot to eat in Asheville. Not a bad choice on the menu. Ralph’s knowledge on wine is unreal and def worth listening to for pairing.”
“Great staff, great atmosphere. We love the Apothecary feel to the place. Loft seating, main room seating, the patio, and of course bar seating. Megan and Nicky and the rest of the staff know their cocktails.”
“Was traveling back to SC when I felt the need for dinner and totally on a whim chose this place and it was a WINNER! Bread was spectacular. Crusty and soft. Wedding soup was exquisite. My dinner...wow. Just so well done. Service great. Atmosphere a 10. Thanks for a memorable meal.”
“Great bar any location you visit. This location is their distribution center and has a brewery too. Outside seating and I sides seating. Dog friendly. Great beer selection. I got a double ipa that did not dissappoint. Pricing is on par with other local breweries. They offer snacks and soft pretzels at bar. They have a side food cart that I believe offers hot dogs and nachos. Free parking lot and a good amount of parking available.”
“Delicious food and the portions were good for sharing! The hummus was very smooth and tasty. There were many gluten free options. This was the first time I had GF pita and it was wonderful!I look forward to returning here on our next visit!”
“Our absolute favorite restaurant in the southeast, the food here is just special. Their food is thoughtfully crafted, made with love, and beautifully plated. They can transform a pile of beans into the most exquisite dish. My husband, who is an incredible (professional) chef in his own right, and I think it’s better than some of the Michelin Star restaurants we’ve been to. And the service is top notch as well, we always feel so welcome and cozy here. It’s an absolute gem!”
“Great venue and outdoor space to linger before the concert. Drinks were reasonable, and the food was very good. I saw Christone " Kingfish" Ingram. Great show, good sound. The concert was broadcast to an outdoor screen by two firepits.”
“A different take on Japanese food. It was absolutely delicious. The service was great. The waiter was instrumental in choosing the entrees. I would highly recommend Ukiah. We will be back.”
“This is such a beautiful place, gorgeous plants, great vibes, and the service is exceptional. Also Emma is such a cutie and will tell you everything you need to know about any brew on tap!”
“Great stop! They have a parking lot (Yay!) and street parking. The beer garden looked inviting, but we sat inside to chat up our bartender. I didn't catch her name, but she said she worked the bar infrequently. That was our good fortune. We enjoyed our beers and the conversation we had with another couple. Definitely a stop to make if you're in the area!”
“My husband and I have been visiting Asheville for ten years and have walked by this restaurant many times. We found out what we have been missing. This will be a must do on any future visit. The food was outstanding and delicious. Service was outstanding!”
“Came here on a Monday night and found it to be trivia night. Had a lot of fun. The bartender was awesome!!! Nice Irish bar with lots of room. Very clean. I'll be back for sure. We had a couple of appetizers, and they were great!”
“Several of us came in for lunch... the wait was ridiculous, considering there was only one party (consisting of 3 people) in front of us, but they had a bunch of questions, even though the menu is rather simple. The person taking orders took his time with that group, while the line grew longer. It's nice that he took the time to answer their questions, but he probably should have called someone else over to take orders while he chatted with them. The wait was about 10 minutes for this. The place is nice looking and filled with seating, inside and out. The menu is simple, mainly pizzas and handhelds. The staff is friendly and our food came out promptly. My burger was pretty good as well. Aside from the ridiculous wait, the rest of the lunch went perfectly. I'd return.”
“Ok. So here's the thing. I read all of these horrible reviews about this particular restaurant. So, to be honest I reluctantly made reservations. It was a rare opportunity for my wife and I to have a romantic getaway at the Grove Park Inn and I really wanted it to be special. “This was the most friendly place I have ever eaten. The food was delicious. I had calamari, chicken marsala, the most amazing tiramisu. The bread with garlic infuse olive oil left you asking for more it was so good. I loved that it was a truly local place and not touristy in a city built around tourism.”
“ELDR is Ashevile refined. Accessible to all but off the beaten path. New explorations on the menu are elevating the menu nicely. Primary dinner menu offers diverse flavors, centered around French farmhouse & New American.Great for groups of 2 - 6. Relaxed atmosphere.”
“Words on a recommendation on social media can’t possibly do this place justice! Go hungry. Save room for dessert. Splurge on a cocktail or two. It’s all absolutely incredible. Service and ambiance are just as incredible as well.”
“Cellarest has an excellent selection of german style beers, many of which come in a delightful half liter mug. The staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. The space is warm and welcoming and full of lovely plants! and there is pup friendly outdoor seating as well.”
“I’ve become quite the regular here! Staff are super friendly and service is typically very quick. Food is delicious and super reasonably priced for being a downtown restaurant. Plus a dog friendly outdoor patio!”
“Amazing seasonal fare served at a 'dolce vida' pace. Service was wonderful, and at whatever speed you wanted. Reservations are a must. They have a great wine list too. They also have a "family dining" option for $75 per person which is a great sampling of many items in the menu that night.”
“My wife and I sat at the bar. Simply put, we enjoyed an incredible meal (me - ribeye and her - the scallops), delicious drinks, and loved the staff. We highly recommend checking out The Admiral if you're in the area.”
“Great spot for a vegan meal. As a note, our waitress Victoria was absolutely wonderful. Her service alone would be the reason to return. She was that nice! Enjoy.Vegetarian options: Fab menu!”
“The BEST pizza place in Asheville. My husband and I ate here on our honeymoon and they offer gluten free crust that doesn’t taste like cardboard (you gluten sensitive people know what I’m talking about). The employees were cool and it felt industrial/punk and we were living for it. We will be back next year!Dietary restrictions: Offers gluten free crust!”
“The sort of thing you would expect to find in Asheville, this is a retro shop that prints vinyl records and also has a large cafe. I missed the tour, but stopped in for a quick bite. Their chai was heavily spiced with an intriguing flavor and only a hint of tea aftertaste. The pastry they had on display actually wasn't that great, but I took a nice and chewy chocolate chip cookie to go. The cafe was large and would be a nice place to sit.”
“[A Vegetarian & An Omnivore, Eating Out Together]Fig Bistro is one of our favorite places to eat. While small, the place is lovely and the service is attentive and friendly. The menu has a terrific balance between vegetarian and meat-based options. Favorite dishes include the salmon and the farro. We appreciate their commitment to sourcing locally whenever possible. While your favorite dish may not be on the menu forever, there will be something new you enjoy just as much. The tables are tightly spaced, but again, it's a small place and they need to maximize their seating. Whether you reside in the area or lucked into a visit here, Fig Bistro is worth your time and money.”
“Remember, this is Chuck E Cheese and not some quaint eatery and you'll be pleased. Everything seemed exceptionally clean. The pizza, bread sticks, and cookie were really better than I expected. The app was maybe a little confusing at first, but I think you can learn how things work pretty quickly. The games all seemed to be working and the electronic tickets are nice. Overall, this is a glorious hub of noise and overstimulation with just the right amount of fun and energy expense. I was a little confused when the animatronic Chuck E came out and just looked around, but no one seemed bothered by it. If you are looking for some wild fun and looking for a nap after, this is your place!”
“happened in this afternoon for a cheery cocktail! Bar staff was awesome and neighbors at the bar delightful! The menu looks amazing - can't wait to come back!”
“This place is delicious! We enjoyed the Oysters Rockefeller, Trout and Etouffee. All were, “oh wow, this is so good,” out loud with your mouth full delicious. We will definitely be back on our next visit. Service was great and the vibe is relaxed enjoyment. We sat outside at one of the seven tables, and there are eight or so tables and a big bar inside. Go and enjoy!”
“Spent 3 nights in Asheville checking out the many brewpubs. One World was the only place that we went to twice. Server Jules, his amazing dog Rolo, and the incredible playlist by Jules won us over. The beer wasn’t bad either! Will definitely be back.”
“Great little spot upstairs with great vibes and even better drinks. Was perfect to have a few then wander down the street for dinner. Half priced espresso martini on Wednesdays and IPA from Burlington Beer Co were both delicious”
“You've got to visit Asheville Guitar Bar. You're going to have a great experience! Visit anytime, but definitely try a Friday night with "Mr. Jimmy's Friday night Blues"”
“Stopped here last week while int he area with my girlfriend. The beer selection is second to none. However, the menu is a 30 page folder. We stuck to the tap menu on Untappd for simplicity's sake. If you live there, direct the menu, but for a quick visit it is overwhelming. The atmosphere is neat, but it was cold, when they finally closed the big door, it warmed up a bit. The bartender was mostly disinterested and he was the only staff present. So Menu ... 5 stars ... but simplify it. Atmosphere ... 4 stars ... pretty cool, but cold and not that clean Service ... 3 stars”
“This was our first time in Asheville and I am so glad we chose to come here! You know with a such a small menu all of the choices are going to be great! The atmosphere was really cool and all of the food was spectacular. We went with recommendations from our waitress and were not disappointed. My favorite was the root vegetable panna cotta! We would definitely come back next time we are in Asheville. I would love to try the full tasting menu!”
“Decided to chill and people watch. Kiyan was our server for drinks. What a dynamic personality he has. Definitely an asset to the establishment!!We came here next day and Jessica waited on us. What a gem she is... on the ball and so friendly!!”
“Food is amazing and service is efficient. Only change I would suggest is to find a way to move those corner tables away from in front of the bathroom lol, I understand the minimal space though.”
“First time visit and it did not disappoint! Sea food buffet was awesome and our server Jonathan was on point! Fantastic evening as part of our 40th anniversary in a beautiful setting!”
“We love this place. One of the best steaks in town. Sides are amazing and don’t even get me started on deserts. Staff is wonderful and sweet. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.”
“The food and service were excellent! It was crowded since it was a Sunday and we set at the bar, which isn't always comfortable for someone with short legs! It was an overall excellent experience.”
“We stopped in as this place was highly recommended. The food was great! Unfortunately we had a allergy contamination mishap. However the waitress was so accommodating and apologetic.Haven't had good dimsum in a while and this was a welcomed treat.”
“A must eat any time you’re in Asheville. Gluten free options available. My favorite dish is the portofinoDietary restrictions: GF they even have gluten free bread for the table”
“Total waste of money. Cocktails were good. Patatas Bravas were mediocre and so were the condiments that came with. Scallops were under seared and the salsa that came with had no flavor and the romesco was super runny. Braised short rib was okay. My partners salad was literally just lettuce with a watery dressing. We didn’t finish any of our plates fully. I nearly wanted to ask for a refund, but didn’t want to be that person. Don’t go here if you want to enjoy a nice meal!”
“I’ve never been disappointed by this location, it’s got tasty food, a comfortable atmosphere and good portions for the price. I have had a few steaks overcooked here and there but eh what can you expect from a chain I suppose. Overall, worth the intermediate price tag!”

“Everything we got was delicious. Wings, oysters on the half shell and lobster bisque w/ mini lobster grill cheese. Cool vibe atmosphere. Great service. It’s a hidden gem.”
“I am a foodie/food-snob. I admit it. I am so often disappointed by my restaurant experiences. Last night, my partner and i had one of the best meals in Asheville we can remember. Bold, sensual, well-balanced dishes (somewhere in the neighborhood Charleston's Xiao Bar Biscuit). Off the hook (if a little pricey) wine list.”
“I kept wondering if Mrs Craig Vanessa was really an expert trader like they say, that she is not a scammer like the others, then I contacted her and I was shocked and amazed that with just $1,500 I invested, Mrs. Craig Vanessa helped me managed my account and after 7 Days of trading, I made my first withdrawal of $16,700. I'm here to testify the good work of her after she made a good profit for me in my investment. She's reachable via WhatsApp with the number on her Facebook: Mrs Craig Vanessa”
“Great experience! Bartenders were very knowledgeable. Charcuterie board, mac and cheese, and drinks were great! They didn’t have brisket at the time so we subbed for lobster mac and cheese instead.”
“Excellent service, a great patio, killer margarita and let us not forget the tasty street tacos & taco salad. Our favorite place for Mexican food in Asheville, NC!”
“My first authentic Korean and it was amazing. I wish I lived closer, I could easily eat here every week. Food was delicious super hot, fresh ingredients, very friendly service. Huge portions, I can wait to let my son try it when I get home. If I’m ever in town I will definitely be back.”
“Came here last weekend with some friends and you guys did not disappoint! The Hopper Flight was fantastic. The wings were good too. The best part of the experience however had to be the great service. Our server, Alex, I believe, didn’t miss a beat and had a great attitude. If I ever come back to this beautiful city, I’ll be sure to stop by again.”
“Bright, fresh salsa, homemade tortillas, and great service. I had the jicama salad, which was huge - next time I will split it with a friend - with finely chopped apples and jicama, and a generous portion of pepitas. I've had their tacos before, and really liked the tortillas. Our waiter was really helpful and friendly.”
“My boss took us out for a nice office dinner one night during the Southern Conference Basketball Tournament. It was very nice, but super expensive (not that I had to pay) and took forever. We were there over three hours. I guess if that's the mood you're in for, it's a good place, but another guy and I had a lot of work left to do for the day. My meal was good, the cabbage and citrus beet salad much better than the fish, though! I had never had cabbage cooked like that or beets and whipped feta either, but it was tasty!”

“I enjoyed the burnt ends Mac and cheese bowl. Ordering was not clear as signs were posted for a mobile app which did not work in my iPhone. Then someone appeared at the bar to order.”
“Definitely don't miss the onion fries! My burger was good and I would get it again... classic, and juicy, what more could you ask for. The beer selection is decent, but we happened to drop in during trivia and the music is crazy loud between questions. Our service was adequate. I would avoid trivia night but I would eat this burger again for sure”
“I attended a First Aid Kit concert here in the fall. Despite terrible weather and a rain delay, I enjoyed this venue. Despite being outside, the acoustics are still very good. The decor is fun, and the merch lines were set up well so that the lines weren't too long. I'd attend a concert here again.”
“So excited that this place has reopened as an asian market. It has a large variety of products, love that they have a fresh fish market and fresh produce. This is quickly becoming my one stop shop.”
“A stop at Walls Wine Bar while in downtown Asheville is a must! You can enjoy a taste, a glass or a bottle of some exceptional international wines. Walk through the gallery to take in the amazing photography of Benjamin Walls on safari or step outside and relax in the open air patio while people watching. While you are there, learn about once in a lifetime travel opportunities; the stuff dreams are made of!”

“The worst experience ever, consecutively, every time I've come here. For years and years in a row. You might get your food. I don't know why I keep doing this to myself.”

“Great lunch today with my son after a busy morning of soccer. Ordered a traditional pepperoni and sausage pizza to share. Fresh ingredients made this pizza excellent! Very friendly staff all helping each other. Great friendly atmosphere in here. The whole menu looked great. Will be back soon!”
“There was nothing wrong with the food, definitely more 'American' than 'Greek' . Congratulations on celebrating 24years in business. That's a wonderful accomplishment.I moved to Asheville 22 years ago and Apollo Flame has always been a staple. Whether I was on the west side of town for work or play, it was a consideration.”
“Such a wonderful experience I had dining with my daughter and our rescue dogs. Our waiter was great and the food was excellent. We will be back every time we are in town.”
“Izzy’s is the best! I was actually on my way out of Asheville and left my wallet in the shop. When I realized, I was already states away. They were so kind and actually shipped my wallet to my home in Texas!! Not to mention I had an absolutely fire London Fog latte while I was there. 10/10”
“Best buffet in Asheville. This restaurant is family owned and the food is wonderful, everything. Great salad bar and any meal is the best you’ll find anywhere. We are locals and we go all the time, lunch and dinner. Excellent home cooked food. You’ll enjoy!!!!”
“We had a wonderful experience. It was a cooler day of 77 and we really enjoyed sitting at the picnic tables and playing connect 4.We couldn’t believe how soft and flavorful the snocones were. I had the apple a La mode and my family enjoyed the rainbow. We will be back, thank you.”
“The food is very good. The place is small. I noticed that many people ordered food to go. There's no restroom. The guy who runs the gas station next door WILL NOT ALLOW YOU to use the restroom. We were planning to buy something at the gas station, and he said that it was out of service until a little girl ( assuming she is the owner's daughter) beg him to allow us to use the bathroom, but at this point we decided to go to anothe gas station and buy some snacks, and use their restroom. So, if you are planning to go to the restaurant, keep in mind there is no restroom. Take it to go. Overall, the food was very good!”
“The food was very tasty and the drinks were strong and not over priced. I loved the open and clean atmosphere. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I was happy all around.”
“Food is incredible and the staff are all so lovely and friendly. Dining room is stunning and best of all, free parking! The private label wine that is 1/2 off on Wednesdays is amazing. Such a good spot for business lunches, cozy dinners and the patio is dog-friendly!”

“My wife and I were celebrating our 25th Wedding anniversary and from the moment we entered the restaurant we were treated as special guests. From the hostess to our server and all the support personal the attention to our needs couldn't have been better. The food was amazing. We planned this trip to Asheville and this particular restaurant for some time. We had heard from friends that it was an exceptional place for the kind of celebration we were going to have. I can't express strongly enough how delightfully delicious every course of the dinner was. And the bread was out of this world delicious. All in all I highly recommend The Red Stag. We will be returning nest year to celebrate our 26th Anniversary.”
“Wonderful experience!!!! We got in way quicker than we were told, which is always nice. ?Every worker was so friendly and the atmosphere was so cool. Our waitress was attentive and kind (and the restaurant was FULL)And, lastly, our meal was delicious!!!! We shared the Appalachian platter and potato and kale soup. Wow!!! is all I can say! More than enough food and everything tasty!!!”
“good morning. I come to GPI several times per year for dinner and stay-cations. People come to celebrate. It was cold at dinner. There are several large heaters for use in the patio area (Edisons). The entrance heaters were on, but NOT for dinners. We can see they have power. That's frustrating. It was so bad that the staff had to bring out blankets for patrons, which was greatly appreciated. a BIG thanks to the staff for keeping us warm, but please...turn on the heaters when the evening temp dips into the low 60's w/a 15 MPH wind. I prepared, but my guests, and other patrons, could have used some heat. Thanks for the blankets! The staff was very thoughtful and are appreciated, but flip the heat switch, please. Thank you.”
“Sarah was wonderful and made my birthday extra special. The views are incredible and food was very good. I had the scallops with lentil succotash and it was excellent. Scallops were a bit tough. The appetizer of salad wedge was excellent. And the surprise birthday dessert was the cherry on top! This place is magical and will not disappoint. Thank you Omni!”
“my husband ordered the pork chop and he could not stop talking about how wonderful it was. He usually does not order pork at a restaurant, because it is usually overcooked and dry, but this pork chop was moist and not overcooked.”
“I had no clue that breakfast was over at 10. I was there at 9:58 and they still sat us!!! I felt horrible but they were insistent we stay. The food was so good especially the Cuban. The restaurant is so nice and peaceful as well.”
“Appetizers and salads and bread were top notch. Fish was very fresh and tasty. The side, however, was average. Beef dish was too salty. But the worst part was that we waited over an hour to get our entrees.”
“3rd visit but the first time we sat in the dinning room versus the bar and not brunch. Nice simple menu, interesting wine list, service acceptable albeit a bit slow but it was very busy. We will return.”
“Reminded me of Atlas restaurant in Paris. Every dish was perfect. From the olive tempanade, to the melt-in-your-mouth Mahi Mahi. And the biggest Oysters we've ever seen. Our server's name was Darrin, and he made the best suggestions. Best service. Definitely coming back.Wheelchair accessibility: My mother in law was able to sit at the table with her wheelchair.”
“Outstanding restaurant. The food was original, fresh, light and so delicious - every dish. William offered great service - so friendly and informed - and Kate, creator of out of this world desserts, came by to talk about how she does her work. No wonder this restaurant has stood the rest of time. It's a classic.”
“Such a wonderful experience I had dining with my daughter and our rescue dogs. Our waiter was great and the food was excellent. We will be back every time we are in town.”
“This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in Asheville. Our server Fred was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the extensive wine list. He gave us great suggestions and truly elevated our night. I will absolutely be back and asking for Fred on our next visit!”
“Went with the family to celebrate our granddaughter’s Sixteenth birthday at the Crocker Park location. It was a wonderful experience. The appetizers and entrees were yummy. The service was great. Was a wonderful evening.”

“Good Hot Fish is amazing! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and delicious. There are so many thoughtful details throughout the restaurant. You can tell how much love and passion has gone into this space. Highly recommend as one of the best restaurants in Asheville!”
“Good reset from the last place and on its way to becoming a neighborhood favorite. Back to being just a brewery, the has a good selection of English and German styles. Good bar with comfy seats and tables with chairs. Good outside seating with picnic tables. Worth a visit!”
“Not sure what all the bad reviews are about but the food, atmosphere, and service was excellent! Adam was our server and he was attentative, kind, and fast! The margaritas were very good and not watered down at all. I'm going to come back and try new flavors :)”
“Food and Service were wonderful but the Lamb Hash has very little lamb. The place looks like an event bar retrofitted for a kitchen. Defintely interested in trying again”
“This is a quick jaunt from my main work location and conveniently located just off New Leicester Hwy. So far, I have ordered coffee once and jessi cakes twice, but I can tell they make everything with love in mind. The bagel was surprisingly good, the brownies & cinnamon rolls are GIANT and meant to be shared. Please give this small business & baker a chance and stop in for a visit!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options in the case and made to order.Kid-friendliness: Small comfy sitting area in the front, bright friendly vibes.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to get into the building. Gravel and uneven concrete may still pose an issue.”
“I love this place, the people who work in there are really funny and they usually get my order right. Sometimes they don’t call my name when my food is ready or they forget to make my food for a while, but they’re nice about it so I don’t mind.”
“I got the quesabarria and rice and both were excellent. The beef was really tender and the rice tasted like it had been cooked in some kind of broth. I thought the house margarita had too much sour mix and had to ask for napkins and water and fetched my own silverware but will return for the food!”
“By far the BEST dining experience we had in Asheville. The food is so spectacular that I bought their cookbook just to remember how good it tasted. You MUST sit at the bar! We spoke with so many people, local and repeat visitors. Friendly, fun vibe. Highly recommended!!!!”
