“Came here later on a Thursday and was seated immediately. Tons more room inside than I thought. More adults than kiddos but definitely both family- and couple-friendly. Had a nice view of the pizza prep area and really enjoyed watching them make one of the best pizzas I've had in years! Crust was chewy but not too thick. Tasted the excellent cheese & sauce right away. Nice basil graced the top. Impeccable service (great timing, super friendly). Can't wait to visit Spokane again so I can go back to Wooden City... though I learned that there are two more in western WA...woo hoo!!!”

“This meal and dining experience was by far one of the best I've had in a long time. I wanted to go somewhere excellent for my birthday and remembered this gem. Being celiac, the gf options were abundant! The gf bread brought to the table was lovely and a perfect touch for gf diners to feel included in the experience. I ordered the Scarlett Queen, beautiful twist on the base of a cosmo. You could taste the fresh juice and craftsmanship in the cocktail. I had the pork belly appetizer that was crisp and tender, the kimchi... whew, delicious. I went with the Chef's Special, Almond Crusted Halibut. I believe I counted 4/5 different sauces with a treasure of fresh and perfectly dressed vegetables. I can not put into words how delicious this entree was. I was captivated and for a birthday entree it was a delicious treasure trove. I chose the coconut cake for dessert... so damn good. Thank you so much for a beautiful dinner. I don't think I caught our server's name, but she was excellent!”

It was served with walnuts and apple pieces… I wish the apples had been peeled instead of leaving the skin on. That’s just my personal preference since I don’t care for the skin on apples raw or cooked. I liked the French toast wasn’t overly sweet.”

I ordered the Drunken Noodles with crispy chicken level 3 spice, my husband got the pad thai with sirloin beef level 1 beef. Food was delicious! I have tried many different versions of drunken noodles and trying it with crispy chicken was new, i never knew i needed a crispy crunch element ( imagine this with a mai tai or something oh my) my husband is normally a chicken with pad Thai guy but he was even impressed. Service was excellent, my water cup never went empty and we were checked on the appropriate amount of times. 10/10 recommended trying whether for a quick lunch date or a dinner date.”

“We really enjoyed our visit to Boiada. The salad bar was amazing and the all you can eat meat was very good. My only complaint is that we had to ask for some of the meats that they offer as they weren't bringing them around to our table. Out of the long variety of meats that are in the menu, they kept coming by with about half of the options. We finally had to ask for Lamb, shrimp, ribeye, Parmesan beef, and there was another one or two that I can't remember. Other than that, we really liked everything. We'll definitely be back! One suggestion I would make is to add a fish option. We used to frequent another Brazilian steakhouse in Nashville that had Whitefish cooked with red bell pepper that was AMAZING! It was my favorite thing there.”

“Our brunch got off to a bit of a slow start. We had reservations, got seated quickly but waited about 15 minutes before the server came over to out table to get our drink ordersOur meals arrived in just 35 minutes, which was great! While we were there, I didn’t notice any kids or teenagers around. I asked our server if they had a kid’s menu, and she said they didn’t. However, she suggested that the pancakes or cinnamon buns would be a great option for them, as they were thick and shareable - and they definitely are shareableHoneydew bellini. Sparkly bubble, not too sweet. I would say a mixture of sweet and tart. Loved watching the sorbet melt into the drink. The Butterscotch latte was not too heavy on the butterscotch, so it was not sweet. First time trying warm oatmilk. Overall, it wasn’t bad.Fried chicken and biscuitImagine biting into a juicy piece of fried chicken with a perfectly cooked egg on top and a flaky biscuit on the side. Delish! The chicken is not dry and wasn’t microwaved. And the biscuit...oh, the biscuit! It’s so flaky, my husband couldn’t resist stealing it. The coleslaw had a delicious sesame taste that complemented the meal perfectly. This meal is the definition of comfort food.Tallstack is the reason I came here temptation at its finest. It didn’t disappoint whatsoever the fluffiest pancakes I’ve eaten. Mike said it was too sweet for him. But he did like the pancakes by themselves. More for me, lolSteak and eggsRibeye, cook the way you like. Mike said he could tell the steak was not frozen, fresh meat. Mizuna Restaurant and Wine Bar 214 N Howard St, Spokane American • $$
214 N Howard St, Spokane

“I was visiting from out of town. Came to Spokane to spend my birthday weekend with my 2 son's. Not familiar with the area, my children's mom recommended Mizuna. The service- Both my boy's are now adults, but they also have autism. This sometimes triggers others to treat them like they're children. Our waitress directly engaged with them as if they were no different than any other normal adult. As if she couldn't even tell even though it's blatantly obvious. This encouraged my oldest to look directly at her and give his order with a clear and confident voice without stuttering. He even tossed in some hand gestures to over accentuate what he was saying. To the parents of kids on the spectrum, you know how huge this is. The food- Everything we ordered was awesome. The risotto balls, oven baked chicken, cashew crusted avocado noodles. The only let down was that they were out of the crème brûlée. The key lime and bread pudding definitely made up for it though. The drinks- I love me a good classic old fashioned. It's getting harder and harder these days to find an establishment that won't destroy this drink. The bartender came through on this one. My oldest son has a thing for espresso martini's. I asked him how it was and he responded with a double thumbs up. When it was time for the second and third drink, I just asked the waitress to get me whatever drinks she favored. Again she didn't disappoint. We finally ended the night with a couple shots of a very tasty espresso. The food, the drinks, and especially the awesome waitress (I wish I could remember her name). Grabbing something to eat turned into having a nice family dinner.”

Despite the rough appearance, it's not bar slop. It's really good! It's priced accordingly, oh, inflation, but it's someplace I'd go again. It was very crowded due to restaurant week.I'd love to go when it's quiet. The stone walls do add to the background noise when you're trying to talk with your party. The beef was a bit tough and bland as the guy didn't ask how many stars we wanted (not sure if they ask at lunch) but I did ask for some spice and he brought me some hot dry spice. “The people who run this place (Melody) are truly my angels. And here is why….I am visiting in Spokane, WA in the downtown area between 2nd and 3rd Ave. I went to get dinner and came back to the hotel and my Great Dane Oso, my world, was gone. This was at 9:30pm. The front desk agent said he heard people right in the area say they saw one so it’s likely he opened the door and walked out of the hotel. No, I am not kidding. He knows how to open doors with handles and I didn’t even consider the hotel door due to its weight.I am from TX on a road trip with just myself and my dog. He truly is my best friend. These folks will always be ace in my book.So thankful for the good people of the world. I am forever in debt to you both. -Emily Schmidt”

What I like the most about them the most is their hot and sour soup. It is the best that I have had in Spokane. It is so hot and spicy it can cure small colds. My only complaint is their sushi costs a lot even if we use our VIP discount cards.”

“We had the filet mignon last time we went & it was great. We'd been here a couple times before - that's always a sign that we like a place. Going here is convenient for us, as we live in Lewiston & travel through Spokane via 195 in the evening after a workday. They've always had good food & drinks. You should know 2 things before you go. 1, they've had live music the times we've gone here, which always seems to happen on Friday evenings. So if you prefer a quiet venue, maybe call before going to see if it's happening. And 2, it's not a budget friendly place. Then again, eating McDonald's these days isn't budget friendly either.”

“We hosted a memorial service with 48 guests at Tamarack Event House mid-January and every aspect of it was beautiful, primarily due to the sincerity and professionalism of Teresa and everyone else at Tamarack. Hosting a memorial service is never an easy thing to do with all the emotions involved but Teresa, her sister Tina, and the staff helped immensely. Teresa answered emails promptly leading up to the event, gave suggestions on food options, and tested our slideshow well before the service to ensure all was working properly. On the day every aspect was perfect allowing us the family to focus on the service itself. Being from out of town and not knowing much about Spokane, we are thankful we found Tamarack Event House. Our memorial service was perfect and I can only assume the professionalism would be carried through to all events. We highly recommend Tamarack Event House for your event.”

These are not your average tacos, they are truly carefully crafted bites with a lot of thought and effort put into the balance of flavors. Spokane is lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant! My only complaint is that on the lamb taco, I couldn’t find any asparagus for the life of me. “Came in for restaurant week and we were so excited for the menu, we almost had a hard time deciding what to pick. We decided on the wings and shrimp cocktail to start. Both were absolutely delicious (and a little bit embarrassing to clean up after the wings ?). Then we tried the juicy Lucy burger and the chicken dish. Again, amazing and so creative. This is the only restaurant we have tried that fully optimized the use of pork belly, it was so exciting to get the flavor and juicyness of the meat. Then we finished with the strawberry shortcake and raspberry cheesecake chimichanga. The atmosphere in here is very comfortable, but the real winner is the teamwork that every staff member exhibited while we were there. It was wonderful to see such a team environment and how they seemed to enjoy being there. Thank you for a wonderful night, we cannot wait to come back and try the rooftop seating.”
